No. If anything he gets more sucky. There's some shit at the end of season 2 and middle of season 3 where he becomes a fanatic screaming crier, and it is the most obnoxious over the top scream-crying voice acting you probably have ever heard. Then he becomes an edgy tryhard in current manga.
