KnY have a interesting revenge background that nips love, also the fights are really good. Theres also the elemental sword school that is interesting too. Sayiuki dsont have any of that. The mc fights just by staying still and making his pole grow in different ways and he din't have to train or learn it to be good, he just is good because imouto powers, he also dont have any special skill or special attack, he just make it grow and fight like that.So it lacks a lot on "shounen aspects" that nips like. But the story is interesting at least, but it's not enough to make nips like it.

There is a bit of an issue of not all manga doing polling consistently. You can serialize for years and only do a single popularity poll early in the run. There's also a difference between gag manga and serious manga. The author of Toriko won the poll as a character for his first manga. Honestly, all polls seem like they are fluffed or manipulated. They clearly put special emphasis on votes by people who are in their demographic vs. people who just chose to vote, some polls even admit they do this.

Do you know anime seasons? Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall? Each one of these seasons is basically a cour. If anime only has 11-13 episodes then it's a one cour anime. Anime like Kimetsu (22-26 episodes, spring/summer) is a 2 cour anime. Block Clover is entering its 8th cour in summer. There's also a split-cour. His writing wasn't too hot during the end of Naruto, or for Boruto the movie either. The problem is that even with his own writing problems, handing Boruto off to other people results in the quality of the writing taking a hit, as Kishi's the one most experienced at writing the world, with the firmest grasp on the world and characters. So the result is that the writing work gets handed off to a mangaka who is clearly out of his depth, and a mix of anime and novel writers, some who are good and some who aren't.

The series took a massive dip in quality and entertainment after the Overhaul arc and never recovered. The ''OH MY SEVEN QUIRKS'' asspull was the final nail in the coffin for me, that was a huge fuck you to Shinsou.

It's slightly less bland than Black Torch, but still doesn't really do anything to stand out. The author can draw cool looking action but his ideas are very generic and bland. Out of all possible designs for his android main character, he drew a guy that looks like genos. I'm still reading it because I like robot shit and there are too few sci-fi series these days, but I can't say it's anything great.

From the first team tournament onwards it's basically a straight adaptation. The only difference is that the reporter and a few of the coaches/minor wrestlers are missing, but otherwise it's basically the same. The problem is the animation took a nosedive after the first half. Pretty much everything that wasn't a super important fight looked like shit (Chihiro vs Masato also looked great for some reason). I almost don't want a second season just because I love the pro sumo arc and I don't want Gonzo to get their hands on it and do it a disservice. But the anime sold less than 100 BDs so it's not like a sequel's gonna happen anyway.
