When Senpai was first revealed I was annoyed at the ever growing harem. Start with two girls but quickly throw in a third because the premise isn't strong enough on just two, but would be weakened by adding more girls from the get go. Pic related shows that both Nariyuki and Fumino are aware of exactly what Rizu's problem is. They know that the problem at its core is how Rizu wants to be like Fumino but cant because it's not within her capabilities. So their proposed solution is for Fumino and Nariyuki to tell her a story of how Fumino also had her problems but she toughed it out because Rizu was there for her. It's basically saying

Usually the author would at least make the effort to show that the relationship isn't working at some level (see domekano and its multiple breakups), kuroneko had a perfectly functional relationship with MC that ended for the sake of it.
