I want to like season two but the subplot with Anai is so stupid.

Like, as a complete newbie nothing he did would be tolerated in any office in the world. There are people who deal in legal jargon and use PC terminology to manipulate workplaces, but those people are upper management HR department types, not fresh out of collage.

It ruins the realism, like the only people who could believe this must be the 18 year olds who have never been in a office before.

And like, every major corporation on earth REQUIRES a face to face talk as the first step for conflict resolution. Demanding a written response is a violation of protocol. The technologies he talked about made it seem like the setting is on the verge of becoming a cyberpunk dystopia.

It felt extremely out of place. Enio seems dozens of years more advanced than anything we have today, and Tadano is just giving him away to companies.
If season 3 follows this logically the show should become a sci-fi world dystopia overnight.

This way they both don't look like they settled even if Haida still ends up with the other girl.

It strongly reminded me of Nana when it went from a simple slice of life to one of the Nanas marrying a rich rock star. Or of Fifty Shades of Grey. I think the idea of just casually meeting and falling in love with a billionaire is a common female fantasy.

That is already a very common romantic trope. It doesn’t necessarily make a romantic conclusion bad, but I personally find it deeply unsatisfying if they have to turn to the oldest trick in the book to wrap up where the relationship is going.

She quits her job, joins her friend's international goods company, travels the world, and sees death metal shows at famous venues.
