It's also like how Love Hina was an earlier Harem-Comedy manga and is certainly one of the more notable ones, but it's also not talked about too much anymore. I also think that Love Hina and Negima, despite Negima's rushed ending are better and more unique than most of these other Harem series. Having unfaithful anime adaptations probably hurts these series a lot too.

The twins arc was just the fanservice arc and the first half of Miku arc was dreadful, the other half can't even be considered part of the same arc since it focuses on Dark Tohka but they ruined it with some of the shittiest art and animation in the season. You can say vol 5 and vol6 are considered the weakest points in the series along with vol 12.
S3 had two arcs as well but they completely ruined both arcs by butchering them with awful art, minimal animation, rushed scenes and fast pacing. Hell, even S2 had a decent looking arc. Still, I'm not sure how you can consider the final episodes awful. Only ep 12 was so bad that it competed with ep 5 in shittines since JC Staff decided to adapt an entire volume into a single episode which was volume 12.
Until this day, IS is still an unwatchable trash anime and clones like Anti-magic, DAL, Trinity 7 and Color Wars were better.

I found Shido teaming up with Miku to save Tohka and fix that whole mess much better than Shido just walking around and talking with people for a bunch of episodes till Origami stops being autistic. I'm not one of those "hurr durr if there are no fights then me not like" retard but the whole thing felt slow paced as fuck and ultimately I got the feeling barely anything happened at the end of each episode. I also wasn't exactly a fan of the whole plot of that part and how the time travel and alternate Origami shit was used (I haven't read that volume so I ignore if this was handled better there).
The fact that the actions scenes in S2 were much better than the eye cancer that was every single fight scene in S3 probably helped.

That is probably because Origami's arc was heavier on its narrative than volume 7 was, and the anime keeps skipping all the fucking monologues that would help to contextualize the problems and issues the characters are going through. Can't blame you for thinking that, they also extended the Tohka vs Origami fight for whatever reason knowing well they couldn't make a consistent looking action scene, with jump cuts happening all the time, no flow and choreography during the whole fight, it was just boring and painful to watch. S2 was better in that regard, they had no budget and you could tell there were missing frames during animations but they still had more frames than the action scenes in S3.
Those are just staples of the "genre".

I think it was pretty interesting. Despite what it looks like with the OreImo designs, it's basically about corporate intrigues with a bunch of wacky engineers getting caught in it since their department is about to get dissolved. The actual protagonist was a bit of a Kanie knock off, but that's not to say the series was derivative. Compared to many anime, it had an original premise but it flopped anyway.
