Not really an adaption but the Samurai Champloo manga is always the first one when I think about a manga being worse than the anime. It basically has nothing that people liked about the anime besides the 3 main characters.

They did a fairly good job at fighting Garou. They're not useless tho, just unable to fight the high level threats. S class are limited in numbers, for one thing.

The series does a good job at making Garou look like the good guy at times. There would have been so many other ways to not have Tareo involved into this, but instead of like telling Tareo to come out and leave, his boner for heroism took over and he "protected" him from a situation he shouldn't have been in, in the first place.

Garou's first real proper act of heroism is protecting Tareo from BG and RR. But here again Tareo got involved because of Garou. Garou attracts bad shit to Tareo and then protects him, it's kind of fucked.

ONE tries his hardest to show Garou as a dindu nuffin from the very introduction in the redraw. I think the whole shed drama was kinda predictable and shallow.

I wouldn't be so bothered by it if people weren't such brainlets and immediatly interpreted it as "garou good, heroes bad".
In a way, the way ONE does it is interesting and likely does that on purpose but lots of the readers are too shallow to get it.

Most people don't even know that Evangelion had a manga. Although the series' pilot was a TV anime, the manga launched first. It came 2 or 3 months before the TV anime, but ended like 13 years after it.

It was a little better in the anime, because they show Garou's aura and Taero's reaction. The shading was way different, though.
