I don't feel too strogly about the sex of the mangaka, but once in a while they're refreshing because they generally approach things a little differently.
I don't like however when they go into depraved stuff. What I mean is that men are or course often perverts (and arguably more), but the perversion often just consists in simple minded ecchi: show some boobs and ass in a panel or two, maybe make a harmless lewd and silly comedic scene about it, and that's it.
Women instead seem to like to put legitimately depraved relationships and situations that constantly develop in something increasingly more fucked up and edgy. It's almost like they need a whole background of filth and immorality to get off.
Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable.
That's why I like Urusei Yatsura and Ranma1/2, because despite Rumiko Takahashi being a woman these two manga are mostly just mindless fun with some lewd here and there (to be precise, UY is better on the fun side and Ranma is better on the boobs side).
I haven't read her following manga yet so I don't if this changes later on, but I appreciate her a lot.
Generally I think I really enjoy reading manga made by female authors, but then again when I stop to look at it my three favourite manga are all written by males.

I recently realized many of my favorite manga are written by woman, from witch hat to kodomo no jikan, beastars, Houseki and Dungeon Meshi. Unlike western comics they don't do obvious girly tumblr shit.

An interesting thing is that they usually don't do powerlevel shit and usually focus more on character and creative problem solving. Like FMA despite being a shonen they pretty much stay on the same powerlevel the whole show.

Don't fall for what this day says.Female mangaka write differently because women were not barred from the comic scene early on, leaving time and history on their side. It has nothing to do with their work not having an "agenda" or a message. Almost every work deals with certain themes or messages, Japanese or otherwise.

Female comic authors are still in their growing pains phase, but a lot of them write just fine.

There are good female western comic authors, but they often get buried under the social justice charged bullshit "men dumb women good" that makes people think that's all they do

It feels like female mangaka are less prone to letting their story fall apart, it just feels like so many mangaka go mental because of stress, or they overwork themselves to the point where they are unable to continue, thinking about tokyo ghoul, hunter, berserk, vagabond, among others. Women seem to be more common in monthly magazines and maybe that has something to do with it.

If I had to average out the quality of the series i've read written by men, and do the same for women it would def favour women, so I get excited when I hear something is written by a female mangaka.

I actually have and I did forget about magi, what's interesting is magi was weekly, perhaps the weekly release schedule is just too much, only able to be handled by a certain type of mangaka.

Also as a small note I still enjoyed Magi up until its end, and while it did get a bit weird in the last arc it was nothing compared to something like Sun-Ken Rock, I Am A Hero, Air Gear, 20th Century Boys, Seven Deadly Sins etc.

I find porn "writing" by them to be kinkier. Eromanga written by a woman tend to have more internal monologuing by the female characters. If it's a disgustingly vanilla manga, we get a clear view of the female character's mind on how she loves MC-kun so much and how she wants every orifice in her body to get fucked by him. And in darker or more degenerate pieces of work, we see in detail what goes in the head of the female character as she desperately tries to resist going down the slippery slope.
