I'm hoping there might at least be more people that like the damn manga past the Askeladd era. At the moment there are very few of those around here that make themselves known.

Read the manga ten years ago, only thing I remember is askelaad the best character, screaming while standing on a pile of dead bodies or something. So can't wait.

Chances are the anime will run through the "prologue". I don't see how you could start farmland saga near the end of a season and have the cliffhanger be in anyway satisfactory

Also I liked farmland saga. It's a good continuation of the character of thorfinn after the shit that happened in the prologue and it all feels pretty natural and believeable. Granted, I did binge it after the fact so I can see why people would get frustrated waiting month after month

The only thing I’m pissed about is that the preview shows Thors hacking Askeladd’s men with a sword when the entire point of that exchange is that he didn’t kill a single soldier. It completely undermines his entire philosophy.

That could be a flashback from when thors was in the jomsvikings
