She may be a fujo and that shows in the manga, but only as a kind of semi-unconscious influence of her tastes and because she's not a man. There's nothing overtly gay in the manga. It's supposed to be just male friendship and whatever, but because she's a woman she doesn't know how to write it in a way a guy would, and thus for men sometimes it looks a little weird. Nothing is supposed to be filled with gay tension, the plot has zero indication of it.

From what little I've seen of the preview I think Studio Orange will make it work because they've had a good track record since day one at doing fluid animation regardless of whether it's humans or robots etc, in fact with the content being centered about anthropomorphs it should work about the same as it did with HnK, somewhat human movement but exaggerated.
