Here comes the seething white boys.
why should I hate delicious brown?
SJW
Based Watanabe promoting diversity since 1998.
Who cares
They should create as many diverse original works as they want
Literally noone has a problem with this
Watanabe's love of diversity is part of what sets him apart from lesser directors. It feeds into his work's uniqueness compared to the most of the genre.
You can rarely if ever call one of his works generic.
Saddly his last works are mediocre at best and
Carole & Tuesday is unwatchable desu
Where do you think you are?
That'll save anime from being creatively bankrupt
>here's your average isekai/shonen/fujobait but the MCs got a tan
Most of Watanabe's works are far from average regardless of their aesthetic.
Bebop or Champloo or Space Dandy are not standard stories that are made unique because Watanabe acknowledges that there is a world outside of Japan, they are different than most in their writing and themes first and foremost.
Ikuhara is a nazi compared to this snowflake
What is his stance on casting actors way too old for their roles? Spike's actor is older than Jet's.
Different != good
Cho has those Asian genes which means that to anyone not Asian he looks 10 years younger than he really is.
Does it really matter I mean really? The skin of an anime character being black/white/yellow/blue is it really relevantat all.
I don't know why these are such important things in 2019 and if you don't use them or show you acknowledge them it's the end of the world for these people.
Different isn't automatically good and the same thing done again can still be enjoyable (Alien/Aliens, Terminator 1/2, Oblivion and Wall-E) but always sticking to to tried and true concepts is way worse than occasionally doing something different, even if it sucks. Only when it comes to making interesting new stuff though, economically it's a terrible idea.
If you think skin color doesn’t matter, why are you complaining? In the end it should make no difference to you
You have to go back.
>coblu beepboop
>linking comic book websites
this little website called reddit might be more your style
Is Mugen black now? I would prefer if he is just brown.
Too where?
Just because you disagree with OP's post doesn't mean they are wrong. Watanabe has proven himself as a director on multiple occasions and his ideas/beliefs have merit because of that.
>getting preemptively mad at other people being mad
pathetic desu
Cowbow Bebop is already diverse
So why is this news
MAAAAAARI OKAAAAAADA
I think that he is Okinawan or something. They're darker than mainlanders right?
Go back.
But racial diversity doesn't seem so strange in a futuristic setting when humanity is colonizing the galaxy.
Anime characters already look white as hell to me most of the time.
Is he only talking about this because they're making Jet Black a nigger in the netflix?
Very nice argument. But I will stay since I can go wherever I want. You have no power keep crying sweetie
>Watanabe
Literally a one hit wonder. He could never recapture the magic of bebop with Samurai Shampoo and shit.
Not saying this because I'm a /pol/itician or shit, just stating the facts.
This netflix abomination does not exist to me, same as the GITS abomination with some Hollywood whore. People seem to like Alita, but I'm still against it on general principles.
the GITS adaptation used the original OST (at least for the shelling scene) for a preview then replaced it with generic ambient shit
the one thing the SH film did right was use yamoaka's audio, hollywood is retarded
he's dark skinned Asian who you all most never see as a mc in anime
>Carole & Tuesday is unwatchable desu
How is it bad? I've heard some positive opinions about it, were those just because muh interracial dykes?
it' a fun cute yuri show
diversity shit doesn't matter to me as long as everyone is cute
THIS DESU SENPAI
Who the FUCK cares as long as it makes cute girls
Dandy > Bebop
Only nostalgiafag mutts disagree.
It's just an old hack riding the success of a 20+ years old show thinking his opinions matter. Who cares?
