What flaws if any, does this manga have?
What flaws if any, does this manga have?
It will never be completed.
MC is a guy and was literally fucked in the ass
Same with every long running manga/anime.No sense of direction which degrades the series since author doesnt know what to do after he ran out of ideas.Berserk had a strong start with Golden Arc. but with every arc that come up after it Muira dragged the story away from the main plot with an excuse of world building which berserk didnt need any then completely moved away from the main plot and the themes that made Berserk great. He shouldve kept the fantastic shit minimal and fleshed out Guts with Black swordsman Arc. and a few mini stories that covered his grudge againts the Apostles then should ve written a conclusion arc that ended the story by confronting Griffith in some way.
rape horse
It has the meta flaw of having an absolutely terrible release schedule, which kills any hype it ever tries to create.
I've never read Berserk and I can't decide if I want to pick up those deluxe volumes or not.
I love this manga but why the fuck did this fucker make him look like a goofy ass batman ripoff?
I disagree
It never spawned any manga like it. So i dont habe anything else to read
I made it better
moefags hate it because its too manly
except thata not a flaw its a strength
Fuck you retard, Dont fucking teach my guts pepe, ill kill you
Sorry user, my bad
Goblin Slayer.
lol
the release schedule is objectively the worst part about it.
also the story just seems to be meandering because he doesn't know what to do/doesn't care anymore
Pretty much this. The only long running constantly hiatus manga that doesn't seem to have this problem is vagabond. But that's probably because it's an adaptation, I don't know how far it's veered from the book.
Ship arc seemed directionless. The whole comedy with the pirate gang always felt off to me.
Goblin Slayer a shit
After the Conviction Arc it started falling off. Millennium Falcon Arc looking back had some really strong moments, but it was ultimately the beginning of the end.
10 years boat ride, radical change of artstyle (definitely for the worst), no real sense of direction. Really, who gives a damn about Griffith tax policy?
The most exciting moment in recent years was Rickert slapping Griffith's bitch face, and I suppose the journey through Caska's shattered mind too - but again the payoff was trolled out of our grasp as per usual.
Characters like Farnese that were vibrant and unique turned into flat, empty husks.
The magic system introduced is well thought out, but hardly fit the tone of the manga.
This is probably a hot take but in my opinion on the biggest mistakes was giving Guts the Berserker Armour (not to mention the helmet in non-berserker mode looks absolutely ridiculous ), which quickly became a crutch for any tough situation.
And that fucking useless piece of shit called Isidro. Why is he there? What's his purpose? Why was he introduced? Aside from le ebin jokes XD he brings absolutely nothing to the table.
Fantasy DnDesque party shenanigans were a mistake.
I always hated how the very first cover shows of Guts with his crossbow instead of with his giant sword.
it´s give a false first impression
well he did start fighting with the crossbow
>who gives a damn about Griffith tax policy?
sure but the very first kill in the entire manga run is actually done with his hand cannon.
and it´s not like he doesn´t use his sword in the first chapter either.
he even delivers the killing blow to the snake demon with the sword as well
everything before teh golden age arc begins feels like a weird prototype
fpbp
fair point
Have you read the last chapters?
