Just as a heads up, that's not the original broadcast. It obviously got aired in Japan first. As for the first broadcast in America (or more specifically adult swim), yeah, I don't know. I would unironically watch that thought. Early 2000s adult swim was peak comfy!

For what it's worth, I haven't seen this since it broadcast. A friend who watched it concurrently wants to get back with a few newer friends and rewatch the show as we first viewed it. It might be a bit childish but it sounds like a fun indulgence to me

In general I miss watching live TV. Downloading anime is obviously way more convenient, but there was a certain charm about waiting every week for a new episode of your favorite anime to air on TV and watching it live. And sometimes it was more than just the shows themselves, it was the experience. Adult swim is the only channel (or TV block I guess) to really take advantage of that "experience" part of TV. All the cool action bumpers, and the text bumpers that directly talked to the audience and would sometimes even respond to viewer's questions, I miss all that shit.
