>whoops, I guess maybe there were two coffins on that boat
>whoops, I guess these arrows that are all the same are somehow radically different
>whoops, I guess maybe there were two coffins on that boat
>whoops, I guess these arrows that are all the same are somehow radically different
>Whoops, I didn't foreshadow everything to happen in every part at the beginning of part 1
>I guess people on the internet are going to get mad at me
Nobody except redditors pretend JoJo has good writing, but that doesn't mean it isn't enjoyable still
>Uses Hermit Purple to track down barrel of coal tar in part 3
>Doesn't use Hermit Purple to track down serial killer on the loose in part 4
>Star Platinum brings Joseph back to life
>Star Platinum doesn't bring Josuke's grandfather back to life
>Star Platinum faster than the speed of light
>Star Platinum can't keep up with Crazy Diamonds speed
This
JoJo is known for being creative and being fun, not having good or smart writing
I only watch Jojo for the fights. I don't give a fuck about any of these characters
Why is he so inconsistent? Or does he just not care?
the latter
>Star Platinum faster than the speed of light
Said no one ever except retards who think time stopping is achieved through speed.
Being imaginative and fun is more important to good writing than maintaining perfect consistency.
He just doesn't care
Sure, I can agree with that, but you can only be so inconsistent and still have people take the story side of your work seriously
>Said no one ever
It was Araki who said it user
When the hell did they say SP is faster then light?
Also, SP couldn't keep up with CD because Jotaro was out of practice. He hand't fought in a long time and couldn't even stop time for more then 2 seconds, while he could do 5 in SC.
>When the hell did they say SP is faster then light?
Here
No, you guys are just speedreading mouthbreathers.
Star Platinum aside, the stats sometimes make no fucking sense.
Kiss according to its stats is basically a peak-Jotaro Star Platinum with even better range but less precision.
You know he just makes all this shit up when the editor asks him to, then he goes back to copying models out of fashion magazines.
>makes all this shit up when the editor asks him to
This.
>Doesn't use Hermit Purple to track down serial killer on the loose in part 4
I usually don't care about Araki forgetting stuff, but Joseph went to Morioh specifically to use his stand to track RHCP. Why couldn't he track Kira? At least Araki could have shown him trying to use his stand and receiving useless or confusing pics, instead of stealing a baby. Killer Queen must have had a fourth ability to passively make everybody chasing Kira more retarded.
The thing is, those letters can represent a wide range. Two stands having an A in speed doesn't mean that they would have the same speed, they could be insanely fast but one having the speed of light, and the other having 9/10 of the speed of light, both would deserve an A but one would be much faster. Anyway, considering how stat obsessed the Japs are, it would have been nice that he had kept some consistency about that at least.
God how much of a faggot do you have to care about shit like that
Jojo has good writing. These issues with consistency is only a problem for speedreaders who read the wiki instead of the actual manga. When you're reading the manga you hardly notice those kind of problems because you're in the moment. No one ever complains about Kinnikuman because he stops fighting giant monsters and grow big.
Even if you say no to all that, jojo still has better writing that just about whatever manga you can think of just from the fact that it has a central theme and actually sticks to it.
Just because Araki can tack on some message at random points in the story doesn't mean he does so in a good way at all. I'm not saying there's never any good moments in JoJo that show exactly what Araki is trying to convey (which most of the time feels like nothing at all), but having a central theme doesn't add to a story's quality by itself, it's simply one of many ways to tell it.
Stories exist to tell their themes not the other way around
If that was always true then they'd be called propaganda instead.
>Star Platinum can't keep up with Crazy Diamonds speed
when was it
Episode 1 when Josuke thought Jotaro insulted his hair.
Stories without themes are purposeless.
it's the same in digimon where megas are either just really strong mons or literal Gods
You don't write a story with a theme, the theme comes out of the story you made though
Storytelling is a purpose in and of itself, it's ancient
but the arrows weren't the same you fucking mong, the reqiuem arrow is more complete and carries a higher dose of the stand virus, did you even watch or read the manga/anime
Plot consistency for Araki is like backgrounds for Kubo.
You just don't need 'em.
