Haruhi suzumiya adaptation is the most faithful

>adapt garbage
>adaption turns out to be garbage too

Everything seems to be in order.

This may be controversial, but I kinda want to fuck Rem.

I honestly don't know what people see in light novels.

I'm reading saekano in japanese and it has better prose than nearly all of Japanese mainstream literature.

The only good LN adaptation

Maybe if you don't know nip, you only got shitty translated isekai LNs.

Hyouka and haruhi are very well-adapted.

What about snow mountain?

Haruhi is owakon

Jintai

I want to fuck Ram tbqh senpai

Faraway Paladin is fairly decent, it's heavily influenced by western tabletop rpgs and shamelessly rips off tolkien but it avoids most of the usual LN pitfalls, although I will say that the author absolutely declines in quality eventually

Manga is very well adapted but it'll be slow as shit to catch up

i'm pretty sure that's because it's done by Maruto

based

i liked the konosuba LN

Yeah, he has great command over japanese language. I feel like LNs are overall better than normal nip novels in terms of writing.

konosuba

I kinda want to fuck them both, in the ass.

Does every LN suffer from the same few problems of standard Japanese convolution, lack of any outlining whatsoever, and short-form writers all attempting to write grand decades-long epics?

Or have I been picking up all the wrong ones? Is there any decent high fantasy out there, preferably not isekai?

yes
