The problem is that Yea Forums doesn't really want to teach people how to fish either. The strategy is more just letting newfags stand on the dock and hope that maybe they catch a glance of a passing fisher reeling something in.
Took me years to figure out the basic tricks (just google does nothing for new people it almost never produces results outside of the most mass appeal stuff). Granted I'm old as fuck and not as autistic about the hobby so I just took my time and naturally absorbed it but I see no reason why we can't provide a basic source of information for people to start learning for themselves. How we don't have a sticky coming on the second decade boggles the mind.
