For those who have not seen some discussions on how the number 13 is significant, lets do some math:

From the narrations in season 1 and the history books shown, around 100 years ago (specifically, 107 years from chapter 2 of the manga), the first ruler of the Walls, King Fritz the 145th created the walls to protect humanity.

When a someone gains a titan power, their remaining lifespan is set to 13 years due to "Ymir's Curse". Same number of years between the royal family's succesion ritual.

"145th king" means there have been 145 weilders of the Founding Titan at that time. 145 x 13 = 1885. So 107 years ago, it has been 1885 years from Ymir Fritz.

At present time (1885 + 107) it would be 1992 years since Ymir Fritz.

Eren got his titan power at age 10, he's supposed to die when he's 23. Currently, Eren is 15 and has around 8 years left to live.

1992 + 8 = 2000... What was the title of the first episode again? Oh yeah, "To you, in 2000 years." No biggie, nothing to see here.

Even in the anime, which had the benefit of having some source material already advanced, the only recognizable thing in that flurry of visions was Dina, which at the time no one even knew was Dina, it was just the titan that kills mrs.Yaeger.

Basically what I'm trying to get at is that in both cases it's just a bit of mystery to start the manga off with as much specificity as possible so as to seem brilliant when it ties up at the end but vague enough where it could be anything and thus anyone who wastes their time over it is a moron.

And, again, if the Beast Titan is brought down or forced to retreat, you lose your Pure Titans. A Titan Shifter who can be outfitted and crewed without worrying about having soldiers eaten is a much safer idea, plus, as another post stated, Piku is the smartest Warrior of the bunch.

She carries more than cargo, too. While she is quick and useful for transporting stuff, her real versatility is in acting like a tank or APC. This is all barely WW1 tech, so a mobile machine gun nest is very useful, as well as a more mobile artillery emplacement.

Just because another Titan can "run on all fours" does not mean they can handle the sorts of loads the Cart Titan can carry. Jaw Titan couldn't. Cart Titan is specifically able to move on all fours, thus she is faster and more stable. She's nothing especially crazy on her own, but her extreme endurance and strength mean she can be buffed up tremendously with all kinds of kits for all kinds of operations. If you wanted to utilize the Beast Titan or Colossal for a war, it'd be a lot of stopping and waiting for them to recover after shifting. Instead, you can bolster your forces with what is just about an unkillable tank/walking bunker.

What we saw in the anime was the colossus titan just breaking the gate down with his foot and flooding the place with normal titans. If a titan army approached for a siege in a normal fight theyd survive canon fire and shit being borderline immortal. Youd just need to hurdle them, not really provide any support. They dont die unless you got 3d movement spec ops flying around butchering them or you get really lucky shots in hundreds or thousands of times. The sun light aspect can also be disregarded with a prepared op under monkey man instead of prison titans taking naps.
Its a real stretch in my opinion giving this titan use in combat in this world.

She didn't actually see or experience paths when she touched Eren's back in the cave, she just triggered his memories of Grisha (and incidentally remembered the memories of Frieda that were locked away) without seeing what Eren saw. In Orvud it was the other way around since she saw someone else's memories/life, and now this episode too.

This is why I don't trust anime adaptations of newer manga any more. If there's a manga coming out, you're better off sticking with that knowing it will be consistent and likely better paced. Hopefully anime will pull out of this current slump soon but for the time being, you're better off avoiding anything based on a recent long running manga and sticking with original series or adaptations of other/older media.
