This is actually the point where I stopped watching LoGH, for unrelated reasons. At the time, the site I was watching on didn't play nice with mobile devices, so I had to manually increment the ID number in the URL whenever I wanted to watch the next episode. The ID numbers were out of order, though, so sometimes I had to fuck around to find the right episode. Unfortunately, there was a sudden jump right around episode 90 to episode 97 or so. Normally I'd pick up on it, but just my luck, the last episode before the skip was the proposal episode, and the first episode after the skip was the marriage episode. I completely missed it, watched a few episodes, was thoroughly confused, realized I'd made a mistake, and didn't feel like going back to figure out which episodes I'd seen in order or not.

After loving it and watching 3-4 episodes a night for a month, I quit with only a few episodes left to go and I haven't finished it ever since. This was three years ago.

Yes, they are good stories and show Reinhard´s and Kirchei´s progression in rank and how they met all of the future core Imperiak Admirals. On the FPA side, it shows Yang in El Facil and other shenaningans meeting his future General Staff.
The best side story is One Hundred Billion Stars, One Hundred Billion Lights (11 episode arc), but you should watch in chronological order (staring with Reinhard as a Ensign.)

Which is mindblowing because only a few were obvious exaggerations. Keep in mind most characters were military officials or politicians in some capacity who had to look serious. Modern shows struggle to design a dozen characters AND they're not wearing uniforms in the first place.

As for a continuation, I want it because I love the characters and I want to see what happens after thing settle down but I dont think its necessary. It's a solid body of work that ends at the top.
