Well we avoided it once already (some people kinda expected something like this to happen back when Junpei died) so I have faith in Gege. I guess an incomplete Territory Expansion (like Megumi's) is possible though.

The boring thing would be just introducing a random character purely for the sake of killing them off as an excuse for Yuuji developing. Junpei was interesting in his own right, and his arc hit exactly the right notes of tragic and infuriating for a teenager getting in way over his head and realizing too late that he fell in with the wrong crowd. Doing something similar with no obvious build-up seems like it'd be cheap and dull. That said, yeah, Gege is not likely to do things like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mahito is involved again, he could be behind her physical change and trying to mess with Yuuji again. That said, I don't see her dying even if it goes that way, although personally I'd like it if this was just a simple, innocent SoL chapter.

That actually makes a solid amount of sense, and matches why she's so mysteriously unhappy with herself. She's being disproportionately hard on herself for being focused on her looks - looks do matter, and it's reasonable to get in shape and then hit on the guy you like. But if she's using something illicit to get that way, that's shallow enough to cause problems. Huh.

If it was only her weight I wouldn't find it odd, but her just gaining 15cm in less than 6 months is kinda suspicious in my opinion.

Went back and checked, and unless JB mistranslated it Nanamin is a first grade (ch 19).

Ah yeah, my bad. So we'll probably get some new characters cause I'm not sure we've seen five 1st grades. Nanamin is one, scar-lady is probably another one and then we have guitar grandpa and the doll principal but i'm not sure if those 2 go on missions so I wouldn't count them.

That first panel on the last page is sort of ominous, but not everything needs to be build for the next arc, would be nicer if it was just an ongoing subplot

I thought there was a pretty obvious HxH influence in how Akutami writes the abilities of characters.
