Yea Forums I need your help. Please help me identify this because it looks kino.
Post obscure kino`s
Doomed Megalopolis
Its kinda meh
Its garbage, there was another one with a similar name and less dicks that was better
>kino
From the era when random urban fantasy OVAs would add gore and sex to an adaptation because it was profitable
best things about doomed megalopolis were the title and the cover art you posted.
you are right.i was attracted by the cover art, anyway i might give it a try, im into the obscure stuff phase lately

What one is this, also what is the one in the pic above?
It's a classic.
I wish the novel was available in English.
I honestly thought it was Riki-Oh from the cover.
just watch the film
No substitute for the novel.
learn japanese
It isn't that good.
Go watch Twilight Q.
>Go watch Twilight Q.
Now THAT isn't very good. Oshii's pretentious shit ruined that OVA.
watch pic related instead for actual kino obscure OVA
You mean it isn't?
Why does a never talk about 80-90's trashy OVAs with gore and tits, instead of all the moe shit on the front page?
name for this ?
Midori. It's shit.
what about this ?
Because Yea Forums has abysmal taste.
you're literally just posting artwork by suehiro maruo
It looks so much like it
Yea Forums doesnt watch anime made before 1998 unless its Gainax
the greatest troll rec chart of our time
I will never not be angry about Anime Tenchou X 2hu being forever lost with no home release or even camrip.
I know it's supposed to be a troll chart, but some of the stuff there is actually great and not that hard to find. A Wind Named Amnesia, Five Star Stories and Dragon's Heaven are even on Youtube.
obscure stuff like this should get more attention, after all i think stuff like its one of the roots of anime industry and as a fan u should at least know about them
a retard like you shouldn't be allowed to post, also OP's pic is known dominantly for being a novel, not an anime.
Watched this when i was like 7 years old lol
Anime kino for real. Kawamori can be great when he want to. Too bad he conform to mediocrity since the mid-2000.
we need more anime biopics of famous japanese author's to be quite honest
check Aoi Bungaku
Fun fact: The Last Megalopolis was released before the Doomed Megalopolis OVAs. This is an inverse case where the live action was the popular property that later was translated into animation for exploiting the brand name.
Another fun fact: The live action was directed by Akio Jissoji, who became famous directing iconic Ultraman and UltraSeven episodes like The Monster Graveyard, Present from the Sky, The Boy who Cried Flying Saucer, From a Planet with Love among others
>Spring and Chaos
>not pretentious
Are you fucking kidding me?
