Finish Eureka Seven, it's pretty decent

>Finish Eureka Seven, it's pretty decent
>Start the movie
>It's a completely different story that's totally unrelated and has nothing in common with the anime story or character-wise aside from the same characters being in similar roles
The fuck?

The movie is dogshit fan fiction.

this thread again

When Bones fail to fuck up their originals, they'll have a retry by forcing a sequel

It's a well established fact that the original series is the only worthwhile thing in the entire franchise.

But Eureka 7 has no sequel

I don't get it
It doesn't have anything to do with the show
I heard AO is shit but is it an actual sequel or its doing its own thing like the movie?

I know that but i downloaded the series and the movie came with it so i thought i might check it out

AO is more of it's own thing with a thin tangential link to the original. The movie on the other hand is a grave sin that I wont soon forget.

Nothing is a canon sequel to the original, regardless of what some may have claimed.

I'm 26 minutes in
Should I abandon ship?

Absolutely.

Kinda wanna know how this train wreck folds
but its 2 hours long so fuck that shit

>Sequel/movie to a Bones show
That was your first mistake.

Don't watch Ao or the new movies. Just be happy with the original and pretend nothing else exists.

Ao proves that Dewey was right. Don't watch it.
The movie was the staff playing Peter Pan madlibs with the Eureka Seven series.

AO has a gun that shoots plotholes.

I'll do that
the show has satisfactory and conclusive ending
already deleted the movie

>Ao proves that Dewey was right. Don't watch it.
I wanna know what kind of hackery asspull the writers needed to do to pull that off but i wont bother

Basically Scub and human can't have babies and their first kid dies and their second kid has to be sent back to the past to a scubless alternative reality. Also the scub is destroying he world.

This is the only good part of the movie.

>stealing plot points from gundam seed destiny
fucking pathetic

So everything after the original series is Bones basically going "holy shit this made money? make more of it I don't care how"

Only thing that matters is the new movies created more Anemone art.

>Finish Eureka Seven, it's pretty decent
Just stop right there, nothing else matters.

Hi-Evo2 is art. Art I say!

Do not watch the sequel series. It's shit.
I'll repeat
DO NOT WATCH THE SEQUEL SERIES. IT'S FUCKING SHIT!!
Still fucking mad

Just listen to the soundtrack.

no sorry user. I can't fucking take ham fisted time travel plots that are ultimately OOC for everyone involved. They made Renton a complete SHIT

You don't have to watch it to listen to the soundtrack.

Anemone is a cute ol' big ol' cinnamon bun.

I'm surprised she wasn't killed off so Dominic could get "character development"

Oh no. You have my condolences.

I love anemone!

what's with bones and sequels? still waiting for that dtb s2

While i dont get the ending to the movie and think it was stupid. Nirvash as a walking little toy and eureka and renton as kids was cute and nirvashs final form design was interesting. And isnt ao a sequel if the movie not the original since it has the same nirvash from what i remember. And when is hievolution going to be subbed?

Original Eureka Seven is likely a rare instance of design by committee that just worked. But the side effect is that the creators got pissed their original vision wasn't the original story line so then started a plan to just shit all over it and retcon it right out of existence after they presumably claimed the original was successful so they needed less oversight. Of course this didn't work out well for them as E7:AO is so widely hated most fans consider it not to exist and the movies do similarly. At least that is what I think happened who knows maybe the writers had a stroke.

Original anime or adaptations that go anime original have this problem. Anime production isn't well suited to good writing and it is basically a crapshoot. Adaptations of light novels/manga that started off as a web novel and have a dedicated author that isn't tied to the production dates for the anime itself makes the story fundamentally isolated from production issues and has a chance to go through multiple public iterations before it again gets edited into an anime.

You know there is a problem when people pretend a sequel doesn't exist and fan acceptance drops from hate it to ignore it exists. Doesn't actually matter what the authors make if no one reads/remembers it that story line is fundamentally dead in the water.

Why no one even brought up that the last episode of E7 was the anti-EoE ?
