Even if there wasn't the lock business, Index has never consistently increased the power levels. Accelerator was weaker than Izzard, Coronzon was weaker than magic gods, etc

We don't know how strong a IT without the blocker is but an IT with a blocker was enough to overpower Fiamma at the end of WWIII. Also they kind of hinted that the more damage done to Touma's Right Arm the stronger IT is. So Othinus just taking off just the right hand part of the arm or Aiwass just damaging it to the point that Touma can put the Right Arm back into place in the fight. Is weaker then Coronzon and Fiamma or even Level 6 Shift MIkoto in Railgun who just took the whole Right Arm off.

We also still need to learn why the purity of it is important like Aiwass said. Aiwass also said it still had a long way to go, for whatever it complete form will be.

Which colored illustration do you guys feel is the best from index so far? I've been arguing with someone about Haimura and the evolution of his art and I think NT art is generally better than OT.

It's not my personal favorite, but this Lidvia spread still holds up as one of his best, none of the spreads in NT really compare in my opinion--maybe the Aleister vs Kanzaki/KL one. I mean, I agree his art and coloring is better in NT, but I think the content of the illustrations was better in OT. If you skim NT's color illustrations you'll see a majority of them are just multiple panel spreads, he doesn't do big scene illustrations with a lot going on as much as he did in OT. I'd chalk that up to him trying to get the illustrations done faster rather than any regression, though.

So I'm watching Railgun S right now and I know the Sisters arc was covered in Index, but seeing it again I'm appalled by the mindless stupidity.

The author does realize how fucking stupid the whole killing 20,000 clones shit is, right? Why did nobody stop and tell the guy the idea was fucking stupid?
Without even going into the numbers just stop and think of the stupidly massive amount of resources needed to clone and maintain 20,000 fucking clones. Don't forget all the personnel being paid for this project as well as the personnel needed to cover 20,000 murders.
And then the numbers. The author does realize how massive of a number 20k is, right? What is that retard thinking. If Accelator killed 10 clones a day it would take him 5.5 years to get through all of them nonstop without a single break. That's fucking stupid. And what really gets me is after the arc when Accel acts like some victim. The fuck? The writing is just so bad. So incredibly bad. Am I supposed to really think he was trying to scare them away? Pretty sure its implied (by the numbering when there's an experiment) that each fight is supposed to be an individual 1v1 fight. The report even specifies 20,000 fights are needed to get him to level 6. That means 20k separate battles. As far as I recall it is never shown he fight more than 1 at a time.
The fact he goes over 100 in a day just goes to show bad of a writer the mangaka is.

It's one of the most popular and successful franchise ever. How is that a bad thing?

Accelerator was never supposed to reach level 6 through the sisters project, that was just a normie scientist theory. Aleister only needed to nurture him through that experience. Nearly everything that happened in OT was orchestrated besides Fiamma seeing IT, Kakine turning into a fridge and Hamazuras existence. Something like Accelerator going evil and meeting Touma was essential to making him do certain things later on.

Yes the concept is pretty interesting, its the reason I've watched four seasons of this crap. I've been waiting for it to get decent and I've finally accepted it will always be garbage.
The problem the writer can't write himself outside a wet paper bag. He found an interesting concept, science and religion fighting it out, but he has the level ability of a 12 year old and it painfully shows. Hell the reason this is popular is because it appeals to 12 year olds. At least the author knows his audience.

And besides, because he was never predicted to be able to lose, so if he lost the calculations had to be redone, but he lost to a level 0 so the answer is that he could never reach level 6 no matter how many he killed.

Here is why. Aleister told the board of directors that level 5 can become level 6 by killing each other. Of course, they can't have the actual level 5s die. Aleister told them that they can artificially create a level 5 though LuN shared experience. Unknowingly, the real plan was to make the Misaka Network evolve into something beyond other LuNs by infusing 10,000 souls who lost their physical bodies inside it.

Well, Aleister did not really lie about being able to create a level 6. In fact, Aleister was able to create a level 6 but he cannot control his own creation. That is why they are forced to use viruses just to make it do what they want. Worst of all, it chose Accel over him. He was told that he can replicate the result just by copying the memories of the deaths already present within the Misaka Network. The experiment ended up in failure but it gave some insights on why the Misaka Network has so much (calculation) power.

After nearly 5 years of waiting and thinking it might never come, I finally see articles and leaks and checking my MyAnimeList account, announcing that another entry to an anime series I've been following for a while is finally getting the third seasons fans like me have been demanding forever now. And that anime......is A Certain Magical Index! Oh you don't believe me? Well....take a gander at this!

Now, while I personally been a much bigger fan of the spin-off A Certain Scientific Railgun, that show wouldn't have been a thing without Index. So it's understandable that they would have to make a season three of Index, before they make another season of Railgun. But it's just been so frustrating and disheartening that it seemed to take FOREVER for this to be green-lit. Especially since the studio had plenty of light novel material to warrant another season. Heck, for a while I thought this would be another Haruhi situation where a Season 3 seemed very unlikely with how long it's been. But unlike Haruhi Suzumiya, the author has been consistent with his new releases. Hell writing is pretty much his life with how many light novels and titles he has under his belt. (Seriously, look up Kamachi Kazuma and just count all the different franchises. Spin-offs included) Plus the fact that, they at least were willing to give us updates on how things were for Index. And while I said it was frustrating to wait this long, in a way it kinda makes sense for them to release it in 2018. Since it would mark the 10th anniversary of when the anime started with Season 1, and BOY does it sound like one hell of a way to celebrate that. And with Index Season 3 a reality, it does mean we'll most likely get a Railgun Season 3 down the line too, and I can't wait....even with a certain overrated character that will be prominent with the arcs to adapt....but I digress.

Considering that many other countries are running rival projects to Academy City it wouldnt be too surprising for places like America to be greatly trying to incentivize their talent to stay in their own country.
