Can beat any card. Why the fuck weren't they used in future yugi oh seasons? When are we getting another classic yami season?

More Arc-V when?

>Can beat any card
They all get beaten at the same duel in the final fight of the original series.

Imagine learning Egyptian just to be a cheater who cheeses through children's card games.

That was cheating desu.

Because they were buried underneath an underground egyptian temple with the millennium items at the end. DSoD had Kaiba pull Obelisk out of the ground to use it for an instant.
>When are we getting another classic yami season?
Never because Kaz isn't a hack, he told the story he wanted to and has no intention of making his characters into a joke like Ash from Pokemon.
Fuck you.
That was anime filler and it made no sense. Hikokubo annihilated the Ceremonial Duel by trying to make it into a nostalgia wankfest.

>anime filler

Anime is more canon than the manga, loser. All the later series follow the anime

Never. Fuck off genwunner

These are fucking terrible, some of the worst cards in the game.

Read the bottom corner of the cards

Lol what not even.

>Anime is more canon than the manga, loser. All the later series follow the anime
But the movie everyone likes is based off of the manga.

aren't they immune to all card effects in the anime?

Cards so powerful they needed to bury them. But everyone says they're weak which is ludicrous.

We don't need more. We need a reboot of arcV right at the episode 92 and let the fucking fusion happen.

Why do you want another series? The original had an amazing end, even DSOD felt a bit superfluous, and that was about Kaiba mostly

They got beaten like every time they were used

No.

IRL they're trash because you have to tribute 3 monsters to NORMAL summon them, and their effects aren't even worth the cost
Whereas you can instead go pendulum and literally summon all your monsters in one turn

>episode 92
>not 51
Synchro was a mistake as well.
It didn't seem bad at the time, because we thought it would get better but it never did.
Friendship cup was garbage with the only redeemable part being SATELLITE CANNON FALCON.

They werent weak at all when DM was airing, in fact, they were exactly that you'd expect them to be; nearly unstoppable but they have suffered from powercreep with the newer series and the newer cards being introduced.

Same holds true for the BEWD, powercreeped.

Its what is actualy stopping me from getting into Duel Monsters since all the things that i enjoyed in DM would be either useless and/or banned. Also the new summoning things like pendulum or synchro summoning is far too confusing.

Blue-eyes won the world tournament a while back.
I am pretty sure only obelisk turbo was decent back in the day

>power creep
Translation:Guys found a way to shit out of their entire decks in one turn

>nearly unstoppable
They were fucking garbage, not at all worth 3 tributes and no way to cheat them into play

How is Synchro summoning different from Special Summoning or XYZ summoning?

Played the game from the beginning of the GX era and I quit the game around the time pendulums came out, and the game is just rediculus now. New mechanics and power creep make the game unessesarily complicated, and there is very little creativity in buidling decks. The only thing Yu-Gi-Oh has going for it is that there is an anime. Either play GOAT format, or pick a different game.

No I meant the Synchro arc of arc-V was a mistake.
Not synchro summoning.

Link cards are even worse. I feel like XYZ summoning is about the only good addition since it's just Special Summoning with limited use abilities

That's completely incorrect. The real reason the God cards aren't worth it is due to a combination of possessing little to no protection on top of shitting up the consistency of most decks even when built around them. If they released cards to properly rectify those issues Slifer would instantly become cancer due the current focus on the link mechanic.

Obelisk was the only good one.

>Criticizes modern Yugioh for lack of deckbuilding creativity while recommending GOAT, a format with about 35 mandatory cards in every single deck

True
Although my hero is still that one guy who topped a Regional with D-Boyz Slifer

Why can't brainels notice the difference between anime and irl godcards? Obviously in the anime they are busted for dramatic flourish and story. IRL they are trash as fuck and have different mechanics

Slifer has no built in protection so its shit.

In-built protection is irrelevant if their support properly makes them immune to shit anyways.

Legal Egyptian gods were never good and even back then with their anime effect of "can't be affected by card effects" that wouldn't had been that powerful.

legal versions of the cards weren't even printed until long after DM, and when they were they were shit

>BEWD, powercreeped
Not true. Because of Kaiba's popularity, BEWD has entire series of decks/ cards being released that built around him.

On the topic of DM, was DM originally a manga like the og YGO manga before it got animated or was it picked up by random nips before YGO got insanely popular?

BEWD has only gotten better with time. There was no place for an expensive vanilla tribute monster that dies to removal in caveman yugioh.

I remember trying to use these shit ass cards while playing back in the day. Nobody has any clue what the fuck they do or the requirements to summon them so you pretty much have to make up your own rules and even then the match ends up being retarded because they are either worthless or instant wins.

If I recall, it was YGO manga ---> card games got made ---> card games got super popular ---> manga end up becoming more card games focused, hence why early manga was like its name, King of Games and have a bunch of different battles, while later on it's just card games. There was the anime episode 0 which kinda got disregarded in the early, then YGO got another anime, which end up being the long running popular series we know.
