Why does Yea Forums have so little respect for Trigger?

They've only put out one or two good shows, yet a chunk of people fellate them. It's tiring to see.

TTGL is a gainax anime

They had an immeasurable level of hype here after Panty and Stocking blew up the board when it ended. Then they never lived up to it.
KLK was one big forced meme.

Imaishi directed it though and he formed Trigger.

Luluco was very good. Inferno Cop was amusing, as was its intention. I feel like Nina Slayer got too repetitive but ended strong. P&G is good, but probably one of Imaishi's weaker productions. Also, technically Gainax. I dropped Franxx and Gridman, so agreed that those aren't very good.

I go in with expectations set far too high so get disappointed by their same old formula again and again.

I like their stuff after KLK.
People say franxx didn't work, but I've honestly never been so eager for a new ep since ep 5 of Angel Beats when Yea Forums was hyping it big.

How I'd describe Trigger anime's:
Fantasy, fairy-tale, safe-for-work, inconsequential, unintelligent.

What Trigger anime's are lacking:
Visceral action-sequences, coherent storyboard progression, consequential/meaningful plotlines and well-thoughtout, reflective characters.

Maybe they should show large amounts of blood and on-screen deaths and reflect upon how modern characters of different backgrounds would respond to the scenarios, as opposed to copy-paste 1960's or 1980's typical male/female leads.

They're the first studio that took Yea Forums's virginity. No other anime studios in past, present and future will ever make a visit to Yea Forums ever, anymore.

So naturally Yea Forums looks upon it like a lovesick wife. Complicated feelings may be harbored, but it is feelings of endearment that is the strongest.

Those two Mamare visits were some of the best things that have ever happened on Yea Forums.

That would explain it. Honestly the quality skyrockets after Kamina dies.
The last five episodes in particular are the best, in my opinion some of the best episodes of TV anime ever produced.

I don't know about the rest of you but generally they squandered my interest by being consistently lazy and/or disappointing, often with a "THAT'S THE JOKE XD" angle that I have no interest in
