I really enjoyed their interactions though. I don't care much for shipping but it would kill me to not have them interact again. The implications of her taking the panties back is really sad. I'm thinking about how would i feel if i knew that Snail would never interact with Araragi again, or if Oni wouldn't have those wonderful back and forths with MC and it just makes me feel depressed.

She's such a stick in the mud outside of Kizu that I'm not sure how people enjoy her. Especially when she's surrounded by a dozen super charming, witty characters. I guess some people just have a fetish for the class rep type.

They're all good, but this one is definitely the most impressive in how they made it so dramatic and resolute.

Absolutely agreed, I don't dislike her as a character and she has some really good arcs (Tsubasa Tiger is still one of my favourites), but her actual interactions and screen presence are pretty weak. Usually when a new scene with a differenty character starts I get excited that I get to see them, especially if it's very energetic and fun ones like Kanbaru or Hachikuji. Whenever Hanekawa is on screen, I know it's going to be a lecture about some inane shit.

As a character, I think Nisio really fucked up her execution by pulling too many punches and not making her misery more her own fault. Also, he just straight-up did not convince me that she's anywhere near capable of all this Big Boss shit so hearing about that completely takes me out of the story.

I also found it a bit annoying how it felt like they constantly needed to remind the audience about what a genius she is, without really showing it. But you can also partially look at it as Araragi embellishing it, which makes sense. I think without Tsubasa Tiger I would've ended up disliking her.

Actually now that I think about it, I wish Nisio had written her as more of a normal person after Tiger. It was the arc where she was supposed to give up the idea of being "perfect" and accept all her human flaws, but she's still basically the same character in every way afterwards.

Just because she accepts her emotions doesn't mean she would stop helping people, and before she truthfully said she wanted to tour the world instead of doing what society expected of her and go for a desk job, she had the qualifications for an executive position someplace and decided to help parley as a rep on war torn areas via an NGO. Then when she was successful at that, she became a "terrorist" obviously by nefarious means. She has always wanted peace for people.

Well first, she isn't perfect, see her thoughts on the relationship between humans and oddities in Tsubasa Sleeping, its understanding at parts, coldly stoic in others. As for why people targeted her, and I hate to bring politics into this, but for some, peace would be a bothersome thing as it makes their politic rhetoric for war fall apart or cuts into their profits. So someone really good at diplomacy would be targeted, that is pretty realistic. Especially in this crazy day and age.

Sucks to be Hanekawa, being third place to both Izuko and Tooe.

I just really don't see how her character before and after all is said and done is any different at all, which is crazy for how much time was spent on her issues.

The guy animating this really did a great job, I feel an immense desire to force myself upon her.

"Everyone hates her for no/flimsy reasons" is a giant theme in Hanekawa's life and it's gotten to a point where I just can't suspend my disbelief for it.

See Tsubasa Sleeping, when Oshino starts pissing her off, and when she and Ougi do the commentary. Before, she would be a little sassy, but smile through it. Now she is all "is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch if you don't shut up" which she wouldn't do before.
