yes

It is well worth reading. Some people dont like the art, but they are homosexuals.

nah is netorare trash if you wanna get cucked by a nameless faceless farmer go on

It's ok. Very predictable once you figure out it's story beats.

>EMcucks finally snapped
KEK

Why would you listen to Yea Forums over your friends?

It's really not good. The whole plot twist is that it takes place during World War 2 and titans are actually science experiments. It's a REALLY shallow "NAZIS BAD" allegory.

>friends

Yes. The MC is based.

>he hasn’t read the manga
Retard.

Reiner will kill Shitren Uchiha

I...have?

Marley is clearly Nazi Germany and the Eldians are the poor oppressed Jews. It's LITERALLY just a Nazi allegory.

>Dune is ARABS GOOD WHITES BAD allegory

It is though.

Kek at this.

You couldn't be more wrong, it's the least predictable manga on going.

You're a brainlet and you have no understanding of human conflict

Your analogy doesn't hold since the situation of eldia and marly contradicts so much of nazixjews ww2.

This is just you being a retarded amerimutt and not knowing anything about history outside of ww2, which you also dont understand

>Eldians, an oppressed group of people living inside of a ghetto, have the exact same clothes as the Jews in the camps.
>The Marley, a continent full of tyrannical dictators who are oppressing the Eldians and using propaganda to justify this, have the exact same uniform as the Nazis.
B-BUT IT'S NOT A HOLOCAUST ALLEGORY!

>the situation of eldia and marly contradicts so much of nazixjews ww2.

Such as?

>the Jews created civilization and had a world-spanning empire that ruled over everyone else until the oppressed people they ruled subverted their greatest warriors
ok Shlomo

LOOK AT THIS!
THIS IS LITERALLY THE EXILE FROM EGYPT!
HOLY FUCK YOU PEOPLE ARE ARGUING IN SUCH BAD FAITH!

Attached: a3.png (808x428, 902K)

Stop talking to them.

Such as eldia vs marley is an ancestral tribal conflict, and jews and nazi are not?

Such as the japanese sided with nazi germany, yet the japanese side with the eldians(jews in your retarded analogy)

Such as it's the world who fears and wants to destroy all the eldians(jew), while it was the world that came to the aid of the jews against nazi germany?

Imagine having such a narrow view of the world history and human conflict, that you expose yourself as ignorant.

Mass displacement of humans have occured 1000s of times in our recorded human history, this isn't reference to any one instance, just a reference to human conflict in general.

>anti-Eldian narrative:
Eldians are responsible for genocide, eugenics, conquest, and imperialism. Their true nature is that of unstoppable killing machines.

>WW2 anti-Jewish narrative
Jews are responsible for usury, subversion, and degeneracy. Their true nature is that of parasites and mercantilists

>modern anti-white narrative
Whites are responsible for genocide, eugenics, conquest, colonialism, and slavery. Their true nature is that of conquers and subjugators

Looking in on it as a non-white, non-Jew, I see much more parallels with the anti-white narrative than the anti-Jew narrative. I honestly would say the only point of strong resemblance of Eldians to Jews is the visual similarity of the armbands, and even there, the Nazis themselves also wore armbands in a similar style.

Yes, whether or not you think its amazing or not its one of those shows/manga where its definitely worth following. Very well paced which is the most important thing

I don't know, the series does the thing where characters assert something is true and where you are supposed to figure out whether or not they are lying or telling the truth, the reality is that only a detail of the story is false or true. This alone kind of makes it pretty unpredictable

Attached: chrome_2019-06-16_22-35-03.png (908x563, 729K)

Look, I'm gonna make this very slowly and carefully, so try to keep up, okay?

Do you agree that the Marley uniform is supposed to invoke the imagery of Nazis? If yes, then it's clearly a holocaust allegory. If no, then you're an idiot who doesn't understand subtext.

>THIS IS LITERALLY THE EXILE FROM EGYPT!
Since when do Jews have a monopoly on imagery of lines of people walking across the wilderness?

Here's a picture of Muslims doing the same.

Attached: refugees_migrants_creditjanossy_gergely_shutterstock.jpg (800x450, 161K)

good trolling lmao

>invoke the imagery of Nazis?
No, it's meant to invoke the imagery of early 20th century modern military.
That's the setting of the story.

It's not holocaust allegory, because it isn't the holocaust, the discrimination faced by the eldians has existed all throughout human history

No, its fascist garbage

>Bad thing happens
>Here is our plan
>Oh no plan is failing
>Oh wait here is thing to save us!

Because you are my friends

the only time that ever even arguably happens is Trost and the second battle in Zhiganshina. Every other battle against the titans the humans either effortlessly stomp them or get assblasted without accomplishing anything

HAHAHAH JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

Yes user, because that line of Muslim refugees marching in a line is TOTALLY the same thing as the LITERAL ICONIC EXILE FROM EGYPT. TOTALLY THE SAME THING BRO.

>No, it's meant to invoke the imagery of early 20th century modern military.

And Nazis.

>Yes user, because that line of Muslim refugees marching in a line is TOTALLY the same thing as the LITERAL ICONIC EXILE FROM EGYPT. TOTALLY THE SAME THING BRO.
On what grounds do you claim that the Jewish exile from Egypt is 'iconic' and the Muslim refugees marching is not? Again, since when do the Jews have a monopoly on this imagery? Is there a copyright on such things I was not aware of, perhaps?

Maybe YOU, individually, associate the imagery with the exile from Egypt. That's fine. But don't presume that your individual associations are true of others, or the world at large.

literally the only time the characters won and had their plan work out in some way was trost and when they stole the colossal titan but the whole point of that was you could barely call it a victory when 9 people survived

>On what grounds do you claim that the Jewish exile from Egypt is 'iconic' and the Muslim refugees marching is not?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I'M DONE
I'M FUCKING OUT
HOLY SHIT

It's called the holy fucking bible, user. You might have heard of it. It's literally THE MOST ICONIC BOOK TO EVER BE WRITTEN IN HUMAN HISTORY.

Attached: Nina_losing_her_mind.jpg (1920x1080, 205K)

To claim Marley/Eldia isn't a nazi allegory would be just disingenuous
However, it doesn't mean it's an empty one or that its message is "Marley/Nazi bad Eldia/Jews" good, it's clearly deeper than that and it's also wrong to assume it sticks strictly to the real world counterpart without taking a form and message of its own, disconnected from the allegory, as an user said, there are plenty of differences

I'm not a Christian or a post-Christian, and therefore your iconography which is rooted in Christian mythology is not relevant to me. And I should also point out that most of the world is similarly, not Christian, and therefore this Christian association is not particularly relevant to most of the world either. So it's certainly NOT the most iconic book to ever be written in human history.

Again, don't presume that your own individual associations as a Christian or post-Christian are representative of others.

Here's the thing. Yes, Attack on Titan has some Nazi imagery, but I feel like people are forgetting the fact that there's also other imagery at play here too. The technology that Marley has clearly doesn't match up with the WW2 era. If anything, Marley is more closely related to WW1 in terms of their technological prowess.

Attack on Titan, at its core, is about anti-oppression and anti-war. From episode goddamn one, the show beats you over the head about how awful it is to be persecuted by someone stronger than you. It lets you know over and over that war is a hellish nightmare with no "good guys" and "heroes". Attack on Titan isn't glorifying the actions of the Eldians or the Marley. Isayama is trying to emphasize that there will be no ideal 'winner' at the end of this series.

The people who insist that Attack on Titan promotes fascism and Nazi ideology are extremely shallow and just looking to stir up controversy. Plain and simple.

Attached: 1553648485120.jpg (716x606, 50K)

>Yes user, because that line of Muslim refugees marching in a line is TOTALLY the same thing as the LITERAL ICONIC EXILE FROM EGYPT. TOTALLY THE SAME THING BRO.
It is the exact same thing, mass exodus.

>And nazi
nothing about their relationship can be link to nazism, you just have a shallow understanding of world history, so everything is MUH NAZIS to you, you have no other framework of reference.

Agreed, simply because

Attack on Titan is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and animation that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and TITANS. The normal user can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The skinny characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the 3d maneuver gear, peculiar uniforms, the whole soldier faggotry and everything about the Attack on Titan world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.

Attack on Titan is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to Yea Forums, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every user to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Attack on Titan content ever encourages the newfriends to show their faces here.

That's not entirely true, the bible is the most printed book in the entire worlds history, and while you can argue that right now the majority of the world doesn't practice christian religions, it did throughout a huge portion of history.
That other guy is braindead though.

Oh yes totally agree

It's alright until the tonal shift. Then it's amazing.

While I’m not commenting at all on the Egypt thing. There’s not really any proof that this scene is depicting the eldians. It could be the marleyans or any other group of people that was subjugated by the eldians and was fleeing. Of course it could be the eldians, it’s just not clear in this ending scene

I agree but I just have to correct one point of yours
>excessive shipping faggotry
*fujobait
Isayama doesn't confirm any ships but instead teases FUJOBAIT. A story about pretty boys with "deep, special feelings" doing terrible but "admirable" things while backstabbing one another while growing their hair out and losing their shirts. It has gone unabashedly fujobait. Its fans think it's some kind of genre-transcending masterpiece but to be frank it just hopped from a trashy genre they know to a trashy genre they don't, so they assume it's never been done before.

Attached: 1532625266597.jpg (333x500, 84K)

Hang on one sec. You're conflating two things here. While the bible is indeed the most printed book by copy count in the entire world's history, the availability of printed bibles for most of history was still mostly contained in Europe itself. Most bibles were produced and 'consumed' within Europe, where most Christians were to be found until after the Colonial Era. The historical number of bibles does NOT indicate that the majority of the world ever did practice Christian religions. That claim would require tracking the historical DISTRIBUTION of bibles.

>That other guy is braindead though.
It's always fun to crack brittle eggs like him.

There are Christians in Japan, so I doubt they are unaware of the imagery

user... I'm sorry but... you're responding seriously to a copypasta.

Attached: 260.jpg (622x861, 93K)

I miss then epilogue Nardo run. The shitstorm during this page and the birth mother drama was fantastic.

What is it, like

>have the exact same uniform as the Nazis.
Except they don't? They tend to wear blues and greys.

And the Eldian Warriors are the only ones with red armbands.

What? Are you high? This is literally depicting King Fritz entering Paradis. You can literally see his Colossal Titans following him.

>tracking the historical DISTRIBUTION of bibles.
I'm pretty sure the roman empire actually did that when they went through their christianity phase. I'm sure you could find some sort of ledger on it.

That scene in your pic yes, but there’s other scenes throughout the ending, such as the eldians in titan form attacking a city. Don’t be disingenuous. As I said it could represent wldians but that’s not some absolute truth

I didn’t say there were a lot of Christians. I just said there are Christians and they would be aware of the imagery. Take EVA for example.

you have a low IQ...

>attacking a city

I'm sorry, are you a speedreader? I forget what it's called, but that part is depicting a famous battle that the Marley used to guilt-trip the Eldians.

You know...

THE SAME THING THE NAZIS DID.

Ah yes, because the Indian trail of tears is notorious for having imagery of people in DESERT ROBES walking through A FUCKING DESERT.

FUCKING MORON.

Attached: 1554623386783.jpg (848x1024, 86K)

You're incredibly autistic, isayama already answered these questions, open a book dumb nazi

Sure, I'm just pointing out that the numerical number of bibles printed is not in of itself an indication that it or biblical iconography was widespread.

Although I should also point out also the bible only became the most-printed (or published) book in history AFTER the invention of the moveable print Gutenberg press in iirc the 1400s (don't quote me on that exact date). The Christianity phase of the Roman Empire was well before the invention of the printing press. So during that period physical copies of the bible would not have been particularly widespread and such ledgers tracking distribution would probably not have existed. The situation would have been more like a few literate priests who owned bibles preaching to mostly illiterate masses.

I don't know that EVA would be an example of the general non-Christian Japanese population being aware of Christian imagery. At most that could be used to argue that Anno and possibly some art directors were aware of Christian imagery. But even there they seemed to be really digging into arcane Judeo-Christian mythology deliberately looking for mine-able visuals.

I don't see that it's likely the average Japanese viewers would have been aware of the actual meaning of the Kabbalah being flashed in the intro or things like Gendo sitting at his desk and his reflection in the floor forming the Star of David.

Attached: kabbalah.png (474x900, 87K)

So
>Character faces peril
>Character attempts to overcome peril, faces difficulties as the climax approaches, but ultimately succeeds
>Character revels in the significance of the victory and reflects on losses
>Next arc
What you described is the plot triangle which most long running works are written with, especially when simplified to this extreme; it offers no insight into SnK being particularly predictable. Hell, what you described can even be applied to certain Naruto arcs.

Although, I do get where you're coming from. I would argue that instead of predictability in the plot beats, works like SnK are predictable in their emotional beats. It's like Game of Thrones - an exaggerated amount of shock and intrigue comes from introducing likable and developed characters only to unexpectedly kill off certain people, tugging at your heart strings. Once you catch on to this "formulaic" emotional manipulation, you (consciously or unconsciously) might stop getting so attached to characters such that character deaths won't phase you anymore, and without a significant emotional aspect of what are intended to be climactic moments, the work seems mundane and predictable. That's how I feel, at least.

I still argue, though, that the plot itself is engaging enough. Seeing how Erin will act in the next several chapters, who will betray or stay loyal to who, and how major conflicts in the world will ultimately be resolved keeps my interest, if only to see how Isayama can pull it off and make it feel organic. I would argue that the plot itself is interesting and unpredictable, and that alone is enough.

What desert robes? The people in are mostly wearing pants. The legs are distinctly separated on most of them.

Did he? I'd love to read these answers.

You do realize that Isayama has made EXTREMELY controversial tweets before AoT blew up, right? I suggest YOU do some reading.

Uhhh...no?

Attached: A2.png (808x426, 889K)

>dresses and over-the-shoulder togas and knee-high skirts
Those still aren't desert robes, user.

THOSE ARE NOT FUCKING TOGAS
JESUS CHRIST THIS PLACE IS FILLED WITH LITERAL NAZI APOLOGISTS.

Attached: _pdp_sq_.jpg (1000x1000, 67K)

Except they didn't. The Nazi anti-Jewish propaganda didn't try to guilt-trip Jews for winning battles. It wasn't even directed toward Jewish consumption at all. It was directed toward Teutonics and to a lesser extent other West Euros, saying things like the Jews were subversive and verminous and parasitical upon the Christian Europeans and such. They would show pictures of poverty-striken and sickly Jews liven in unhygienic conditions and claim that Jews were like rats and spread disease, etc. And for these reason the Jews were inherently detrimental to European civilization and had to be rooted out and destroyed.

But there was nothing like the anti-Eldian narratives where the Eldians were guilty of past genocides and whatnot.

Look, if you're going to try and comment on historical events you could at least do your basic diligence and learn about those historical events instead of making up rubbish on the spot.

That's not a desert robe, user. That's a cosplay of a guy with a bedsheet draped around him.

You're the brittle guy that was freaking out earlier over the 'muh Jewish iconography,' right? Take a chill pill, man. You're all worked up and it's probably no good for your heart. You remember what Pixis said to Panicbeard?

It's a pretty good manga. If you have friends to talk about it with then I would especially recommend reading it.

>It lets you know over and over that war is a hellish nightmare with no "good guys" and "heroes".

Fucking this. Hell, even the Survey Corps have some element of moral ambiguity once we discover that titans are actually malformed humans. No one in Attack on Titan is meant to be depicted as a "good guy".
