Eva is one of these shows where the dub is pretty nice, and the sub's absolutely insane. Honestly both are worthwhile experiences.

I already kinda paid for Netflix just to watch this.
Everytime I've tried to download this, my internet always fucks it up.
I feel like this could be something to kickstart me into watching the old dub/subs.
BUT, if you're positive I REALLY shouldn't watch the new sub, I think I'll consider downloading it again.

I think what's nice about eva though it understands what it is.
It respects itself as a philosophical piece but doesn't try to be pretentious with no real point and doesn't let that be an excuse for anything. it has amazing aesthetics and cool robots fights AND deep philosophical stories intertwined.

Literally anyone who watches the Netflix version of Evangelion has not watched Evangelion.

Every detail in EVA is great. Even something like the adults' specific ages matter. It goes without saying in the series, but you can tell that being 29 going on 30 is a huge deal to Misato who will have to mature really fast or else be a social pariah.
