I took one of those tests and I ended up with manipulation...I decided to accept the idea that, according to the anime rules I am got that kind of Nen...I checked and this kind of Nen seems to be boring, ripetitive and leave no space to creativity
What cool things can this nen do? Would it be possible to concentrate oxygen in the air, like Mustang does in full Metal alchemist? Is it possible to turn different material in others like with a nuclear effect?
Or does it work only with macro things? In that case can I weaponize trees?
>Would it be possible to concentrate oxygen in the air, like Mustang does in full Metal alchemist? You can probably do that, yes. Although I am not sure if it would be that effective.
>Is it possible to turn different material in others like with a nuclear effect? Really unlikely. The most advances manipulation we have seen was at cellular level. Subatomic level shoulf be far beyond the abilities of a human.
>Or does it work only with macro things? Pouf was able to manipulate his cells, but that is already above human ability. I think most people would be limited to macro things.
>In that case can I weaponize trees? Yes, but trees are probably not the best weapon, as they would probably break when moved around too much.
When you manipulate an object, you infuse it with your own aura and then command the aura like you would command the aura in your own body.
If you want a combat ability, I would suggest some kind of construct with a tricky property like Goreinu's Gorillas. But really, you are unlikely to fight people in 1-on-1 irl or thr HxH world, so you coulf also just get a non-combat power and avoid fights.
John Jones
I am OP, I am not by any means an expert on HxH. However Pitou strenght seems to be mostly because her biological abilities(super fast, super strong, etc..) the occasions in which we saw her using her Nen is when she perform surgeon operation and when she got manipulated by her own nen after death.
I mean...the idea of fighting after death is cool, but I would like something that works when I am alive.
Do you think I can manipulate water, thus blood just like in Avatar?
Anthony Sanders
I like Kortopi’s ability to duplicate even humans. Where did even kortopi came from, the dark continent?
Cooper Bailey
>can I weaponize trees Yes but you need emission too, to send your aura in the tree and control it without physical contact. This is no biggie since emission is next to manipulation. I personally made up multiple nen abilities for different types, one of the manipulator techniques I like uses 2-3 suits or armor, they fight for you but you can also detach them since they're hollow inside. One of the techniques it uses is one armor detaches to pieces and covers your opponent, incapacitating them, while the remaining 1-2 suits stabs it trough the openings in the armor. You can also put one of the suits on yourself, boosting your speed and power, since trough manipulation you bypass the armor's physical potential. Another manipulator technique is subconscious control, this works best as a manipulation+enhancement style. First time you have to touch the opponent to deposit your aura in the brain. The manipulation part is giving your opponent false information, in short, you activate your aura in their brain to tell them "he's attacking from right" so s/he will defend at right while you attack from left. This is where enhancement comes in play, you can use any weapon and even if your enhancing skill is only 60%, you destroy the defenseless part.

Don't get me wrong I would love being the utility dude, I am that kind of characters in Dungeon and Dragons( actually got kicked out because my storm wizard was not going head first in combat).
However I would like to be able to survive in the countryside of one of the most hostile settings in an Anime.
I feel like manipulation is not indicated for fighting at all
Lucas Cox
I don't even remember his power. He's the cellphone guy right
Matthew Cruz
>touch the opponent to deposit your aura in the brain >giving your opponent false information, in short, you activate your aura in their brain to tell them "he's attacking from right" Would need a big condition/restriction.
Juan Bennett
Maybe with manipulation I could shoot people from a dozen mile away. That would be cool, I am still support anyway.
He's like a robot on a mission, he's not aware of what he's doing. Plus he doesn't even remember anything that happened in that state and his whole body hurts for days after that, meaning he'd be easy prey during that time
Lincoln Harris
>Hisoka is such a scary nigga. Very much this.
He has numerous kills on his name: Togari, Cherry, Agon, Geretta, Kastro, Gotoh, Bushidora, Teradein, Kortopi and Shalnark. Not to mention several hunter examinees (20+) several Heavens area fighters, 6 pro hunters and several 40+ hunters he all killed.
Damn Hisoka is a killer with an impressive bodycount. If there is anyone who deserves to survive Hunter x Hunter ending, it’s Hisoka Morrow. Indeed he will.
Kayden Watson
You can fuck any hot chick you like.
Carson Russell
>Togari, Cherry, Agon, Geretta, Kastro, Gotoh, Bushidora, Teradein, Kortopi and Shalnark. Literal whos and two spiders without ability, the absolute state of this joke character
But still, those are kills he can add to his name. All those people are killed by Hisoka himself. Bushidora & Teradein are stars Hunters, so they aren’t whos. I agree with the rest though.
I hope Chrollo kills Hisoka again, only this time slow and painfully. Fucking clown is death and he doesn’t even know it. There will be no “NEN GUM I BESEECH YOU!” this time...
Jace Lee
But how will Kuroro manage to get prep time and set the conditions of the rematch?
Lucas Carter
Wouldn't shit like that be more transmution?

morel is a manipulator retard

>You simply lack imagination He'd be the fucker who made his manipulation ability one that controls small creatures, while also being so shit he can't catch the fast ones.

>all this nonsense to tell us he got manipulation in the stupid test
With manipulation you can create a group of followers and have them work for you.
As strong as any individual can be, your own army is way better. You can literally start a business and use your nen to make your workers loyal and hardworking. And it is all legal
You want to be strong? Put restrictions on your followers and awaken their nen abilities. Now you are army strong.
As a conjurer myself, I thought about creating an item that would enhance my own training. Doing the training would reward me with points I could cash in. But also other nen users could use the item to enhance their training. But I keep their reward points. When I cashed in enough points I could do almost anything, but mostly It would be new items to conjure. The idea would then be to fill out the nen chart with items that do each of the things. So a mech suit that works as enhancement, a nen beast that can manipulate, a weapon that emits, and a tool that transmutes. For a conjurer the more items you can conjure the stronger you are. And keeping the idea rolling with smart restrictions, each new item I conjure has an option to use the points to cash in and make them stronger and with new abilities. The cool thing about a conjurer is you can conjure items that can be used by multiple nen users. So I could conjure an ambulance, in the ambulance is a healing pod, hook up 3 nen users and you can heal almost anyone in the healing pod by stealing 33% of their nen.
Hatsu Name: Notorious Dip Category: Specialist Its a set of different abilities and moves from all other categories that can be boosted by the amount of irl currency I decide to use, for example, an enhancer technique that makes a dollar bill razor sharp so I can use as a weapon, or an emitter technique where I throw the dollar bill just like the pedo clown's cards, the potency of each technique depends on the monetary value of the bill, this hatsu is directly connected with my bank account and I'm can't have more than 100 dollars ever, so I have to live cheap and work for it, I'm not allowed to receive free money either
Manipulate molekuls, slow them down to freeze everything or accelrate them to create thermal energie or whatever bullshit you think is cool. Manupulate forcefields like gravity or magnetism or whatever man...
>Can hit hard an soak up damage >Can be either or effective and simple or creative which will catch opponents off guard >80% in both Emission and Transmutation Face it user
>Only Nen category that can tank mussels, bullets, and other weaponry. Seethe harder, non enhancement faggot.
Adrian Kelly
If you’re talking about uvogin he was kind of an exception to bullets. Granted, bill took multiple shots, be he winced like a bitch. Might as well pick something interesting with proximity to enhancement like Transmuters or emitters.
Hudson Walker
It's Conjuration and Manipulation where one of your 80% is wasted on Specialist. But Specialists are rare and you're either won the birth lottery or you lost, you can't half-ass that category.
Michael Allen
OP anime2011onlyfag confirmed
Brayden Hughes
One in a hundred aren’t terrible odds all things considered. And you can’t have less than 100% in specialization so that means you’re rolling with whatever 100% category you’re in PLUS your super special ability. That’s the reason Kurapika is more broken than, say, binolt.
Pitoufags (literally) have a containment thread up RIGHT NOW GO THERE
Henry Powell
Would it really be that big tho? Technically speaking it's not a Huge thing, it depends more on your skill of fast thinking and acting. It's like Hisoka's nen, I mean he makes rubber, wooow soo scarry, no it's not, it's his ingenuity in how he uses it. I agree it would need some conditions but not huge ones. BTW touching them first is already one condition, we can add a time limit. The shorter the limit, the stronger it is.
Same user. Also Illumi fully controls people just because he trained hard. I mean yeah he's a Zoldyck, almost like being an Uchiha in Naruto, but still...
Pitou cancer infecting our thread. Pitoufags needs to be killed.
Benjamin Walker
Manipulation is one of the most boring, unless you make an ability to manipulate people. That's the best thing you can do with it, and the only thing that can't be copied by other nen styles, but in order to care about manipulating people you have to be sadistic or an asshole. Another good use of manipulation would be spamming minions, like Morel. You could create them with conjuration, but manipulation probably can handle a bigger number. Controlling oxygen, or some other widely accessible material, seems to be a good bet, like, again, Morel with his smoke. Lastly, with manipulation and a good bit of emmission, you could make yourself a stand, which is not bad at all.
Hudson Flores
boring, yes, but at least you get a guarunteed OHKO move
How ist being able to build your own mind broken harem using a potent aphrodisiac a bad abbility? A Transmitter could probably do Something similar though...
Ian Taylor
It's like exercising. Some people manage to pull trhough right to their limits and some can only go to 50/60%. Shlanark in autopilot has a goal and pursues it to best of his abilities, even if it means straining his body or exhausting his nen. It's really good against brwany enemies, not so much against ones with tricky abilities.
Anthony Roberts
Enhancement is always useful.
