I'm torn between Rei and Koworu. Asuka is a selfish, immature bitch. Misato isn't terrible, but a bit too irresponsible. Rei and Shinji were always really cute together in a weird, understated sort of way, and rei tries her best for everyone. Koworu actually showed genuine affection for shinji, so it's hard for me to write them off entirely, as shinji really could use a bit of love.
