Tetsuo Hara > Araki > those other guys >all those other guys

Fujimoto is the last good Mangaka left in jump.

Fire punch was better than anything the other three have written in the last 10 years so I can agree.

Fire Punch was shit

Fire Punch more like Kino Punch.

Togashi, Inoue and Miura are true storytellers.
Fujimoto is just a shockvalueteller.

the last fire punch thread was cool

Based and Kinopilled

Unironically true.

based retardposter

Sad to see it didn't reach bump limit, we were having an actual discussion about the story and it's thrmes

Is weird 'cause all the fire punch threads are just OPT and fuck your sister

have sex (with your sister)

Fire punch has many Kino pages every chapter so it's not a surprise.

Fire Punch is unironically the most abstract work in fiction since angel's egg.

redpill me on fire punch. indulge the profoundness of the themes upon me. explore the symbolism. perhaps i am a brainlet who just didn't get it, but while i appreciate experimental art, especially towards the end fire punch just seemed like it was being written as it was going along and ultimately disappeared up its own ass

>most abstract work in fiction since angel's egg
EoE and Paprika exist.

Fire Punch is a commentary on storytelling itself.

i got that much, that storytelling is unrealistic and reality is often unsatisfying in comparison, but thats not really that profound nor complex. what else about storytelling is it saying?

It also questions religion and God by making Agni a human seeking revenge, a god forming a new religion and ultimately a devil destroying everything for his personal beliefs.

Check the previously thread..

I wrote all this shit for a brainlet

so its about love being transcendentally meaningful when everything otherwise has no inherent meaning?

Congratulations, you got the idea

kind of lame desu, bit of a distracted way to go about doing it. It's not bad, pretty good even, although a bit off of being something so phenomenal as to warrant such high praise
rio a cute

Imagine a fire punch adaptation by Oshii. His style fits the series perfectly.

I can't. Fire punch is pure kino.

What is in your opinion the best and the worst thing about Fujimoto.

Knows how to tell a good story.
A fucking siscon.

Paprika isn't abstract. It's psychedelic at best.

I think these posts are probably the most interesting takes on Fire Punch I've seen and they make a lot of sense to me.
