I think its just a 40th anniversary special short that goes over a lot of key moments from the series
Dunno if they're planning on a new series, but maybe. If you're watching Kinnikuman then just remember to not confuse it with the sequel, start with the original.
Although generally what I'd say is that it gets good during the Devil Chojin arc, but once it gets good it remains one of the most classic shounen stories ever. It just took an arc or two to figure out what the hell it was trying to be at first kinda like Gintama. Although the first arc or two isn't bad, it was just a lot more of a gag story early on. Later on its still humorous, but its balanced out with larger than life crazy action scenes and Baki level physics.

Didn't he throw him away as a baby because he considered him too ugly to live, despite the fact that his "ugliness" is just a mask they forced him to wear since he was born? And for some reason Kinnikuman kept up the custom of wearing that mask on Earth even though he'd be accepted a lot easier if he didn't wear that ugly pig mask.

Overall, if Terryman is fighting you can pretty much guarantee he'll at least manage to get a draw. I don't think he's flat out lost in a one on one.
