I feel like it deserved another episode. They didn’t wrap up all the subplots and the ending felt a bit rushed.

Toi getting dicked in prison!

Enta’s sister was hot. Whatever happened to her?

You know who deserved much better? Masa.

Were there any stitches?

Has anyone done an edit for this episode?

Better late than never. Some stitches from the final episode.

I hope the doujins coming don't disappoint.

Only thing I feel really unsatisfied with is what is going on with Sara’s character. Why is she on Earth and why did she become an idol? Why wasn’t she with Keppi from the start?

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Sarazanmai - 11 [1080p].mkv_snapshot_15.39_[2019.06.20_18.24.31].jpg (1920x2029, 1.2M)

Keppi was sealed in the statue.

she was off screen
the only disappointment is that she didn't barge into the otter HQ with the freezer

He makes his cute princess dress like a slut. Shit taste kero.

I wanna say why she wasn’t doing more to help, but we already know she’s really dumb.

Mabu's smile gives me life.

The only subplot they didn’t cover is what happen to Keppi and co and that really don’t deserve a whole episode.

Time to post the full table of reaction guys

I wish Mabu and Reo were my dads.

Many thanks stitchanon

Chikai got exactly what he deserved.

just watched it

something profound was said in this finale but i have no idea what it was

I am a concept

You have to make connections wit people, and risk that there will be hard times and the future can be painful at time but it’s worth it cause connections are important and what make us human.

I cannot handle the level of smug Sara is on right now

Sara’s role is the same as 2H in Penguindrum and the Shadow Play/Radio Club girls in Utena. That became very clear she was the “them exposition” character. Who thought she would be more than that past Episode 1 forgot this is an Ikuhara show.

I feel dumb for believing that Houkago Kappa's lyrics would be relevant to the plot. It was just a nice Shoujoshiki Elise song.

Worst Ikuni anime.

Attached: D9Z66VvUYAMbZP_.jpg (899x1200, 199K)

I think I wouldn’t have been so bothered by that if not for that spin off manga with her as a baby. I kept thinking she’d be more important.

So we've got the correct Mabu now?

The correct Mabu was with us all along.

He was always the correct one

Reo didn’t listen to his own advice about assumptions being dangerous.

He was always the right one but he probably back to being fully organic now.

>you have to make connections or else you're not a real human

Kazuki can't pretend to be a cute girl anymore.

I want Reo to remind Mabu what was like to be dicked with love!
Reo cures Mabu PSTD!

Depressed college Kazuki fills me with a deep despair despite the fact that the entire bad future scenario is his fault.

We can only hope

Do you think otter Reo was into more kinky sex than the real Reo?

Seemed rushed.
Was it only me?

That user is a otter, don't believe him/her.

Nah, you're just a perverted degenerate and deserve to be turned into a zombie.

Watching Tooi like this is making me sad.

It hurts to think about how he kept cucking himself.

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Sarazanmai - 11 [720p].mkv_snapshot_18.22_[2019.06.21_02.38.02].jpg (1280x720, 127K)

Speaking of this, I have not followed that manga at all but just came across this image. Is the entire plot of the manga it was just a dream? Because a ReoMabuSara family sounded cute but I won't bother if that's the case

Attached: D9iOJPMWwAMN_cl.jpg (984x1400, 291K)

Yeah I felt that way too. I was hoping Enta’s feelings would at least get acknowledged, and that future leak sequence really killed my mood despite the fact that it wasn’t real. I was having a good time with the episode until then, but a quick scene where they worked through the rest of their interpersonal bullshit would’ve been better there imo.

I kinda found that whole sequence funny.
>Yeah, your life will be complete shit, but that's life kero! See ya!

No

To be fair, it’s a fair assumption. It was fucking unlucky he eavesdrop on that conversation and it was not like Mabu could have corrected him without dying anyway.

The manga was all a ploy to get fujo bucks

Ikuni, thanks for this message .

You can start working on it. I truly believe in you.
You just have to realize that it is something of utmost importance.

>the entire bad future scenario is his fault
How so?

This, I know people keep saying it's canon and Ikuhara wrote the setup but it really does just seem like a cash-grab spin off that has nothing to do with anime ReboMabu.

It's a pretty grounded message to be honest, it was my favorite part of the episode.

Most of the scenes seemed to imply their conflict was a result of Kazuki being a depressed bitch after he fucks his leg up.

> Enta’s feelings would at least get acknowledged,
Enta acknowledged that he wants him and Kazuki to be friends after 'the concept' brainwashed him.

The manga and Twitter were to give context to Reo and Mabu. We had to know what they were normally like in order to notice there was something wrong with their relationship for an example. It couldn't be on the show both due to lack of time and also because it shifted too much from the main boys' narrative.

Reo and Mabu said that it was only one possibility. Not a for sure future.

So was Reo an eta or something or just poor?

Also, was the future that was shown the real future?
With kazuki breaking his leg and all?
I can't fucking believe it.

Judging by how the boys just repeated the mistakes they made throughout the whole series (as the title cards helpfully pointed out) over and over again, I think that future was supposed to represent what would’ve happened if they hadn’t truly connected and learned from what they did wrong like they did in the end.

Twitter trannies are STILL seething about Kazuki.

I'm glad I don't see any of this

Mabu was the real one. Reo confused with a doll because Mabu couldn’t express his affection for Reo without his artificial heart exploding so he resembled like an emotionless robot. But his desire to be with Mabu and not being honest about it made him a prime candidate for a Zombie Kappa.

What the fuck is there to be upset about?

No Keppi literally said it was just a possibility. The whole point of that scene was to show that no matter how painful the future could be, the boys still won't let go of their connection to each other.

What did Toi do to get put into juve?

But they literally did let go of their connection in that future. That was literally all that happened.

user?

probably that he didn't chop his dick off and live happily ever after

Bingo. Plus, it’s doubtful that those futures would happen as long they can push past their insecurities and desire to hide themselves. The fact that Tōi went to juvie when he could had gotten away with everything show that they are willing to live truthfully.

Kill some yakuza and sold weed.

Yep. This shit just seemed super depressing to me. Go through all this to keep a few friends but it will all go to shit anyway. I feel this pretty hard on a personal level too. I need a drink.

He probably confessed about the drugs and/or manslaughter.

Not going to retype it but tl;dr Enta

Tortured people CIA style, beat up kids in the park, stole from cars, possibly stabbed people with his ruler given that he threatened to do the same to his classmate, sold illegal goods, and who knows what else he did to help aniki.
Also killed yakuza but that might be able to be passed off as self-defense.

Forgot: Owned and used illegal firearm, helped a murderer flee the scene of his crime.

Aren't drugs considered the absolute worst thing you could possibly be involved with in Japan?
How the hell did he get out so fast?

That’s why it’s a possibilty. As long as they are open and honest with each other, that future won’t happen. And it seems like it didn’t.

Please, you can get out for Murder 1 as an adult in under ten years time as long it’s like one person. He was a juvie so his sentence would be a relative slap of the wrist. This isn’t AmeriKKKa.

>AmeriKKKa
Burger detected
Anyway are you saying his sentence wasn't a slap on the wrist

Possibly nobody knows he dealt drugs and he's a kid.

Murder is worse than drug dealing even in Asia, user.
He probably pled his young age and mitigating circumstances. And if there is sentencing discretion in Japan his good looks and charisma would help him too.

That its irresponsible to write a character to crossdress and not be trans, obviously.

The absolute state of KazuToifags.

Did you miss the whole episode Kazuki realized how much Enta did for him after Enta got murked? I don’t know what you wanted the show to do but Kazuki knew about his crush long before that episode anyway and Kazuki gained a whole new level of appreciation for Enta and felt bad that he treated Enta like shit because he was too wrapped up in his guilt over Haruka.

why would people not ship with themselves?

Attached: D8yUJIdXoAEBQ2G.jpg (908x1200, 135K)

Where does it imply Kazuki knew about the crush? He literally wrote off Enta’s weird shirt sniffing and unconscious kissing as “lol just a prank bro”.

The absolute state of EnToifags.

I was saying that Japan don’t have ridiculous long jail sentences like America, user. Japan actually believe in jail as correction than punishment. Also also they don’t have a privatized multibillion corporations profiting over federal money and money from companies profiting over extremely low wage labor.

Worst Ikuhara show? Worst Ikuhara show.

So Enta will have a bad breakup with some guy on the soccer team?

It's probably just Kazuki saying goodbye to him and soccer.

What did he fuck the judge or something because Toi does not come off as charismatic.

So nothing related to what you replied to.

>again
what a little bitch

wrong, there's a reason Japanese people have low trust in the police force and justice system and why is brough up in game series like Yakuza. Jails are a joke to throw people in there for some time to pretend shit is getting done.

>soccer in #1 and #3
The US soccer team declared war on Sweden?

I always thought this scene implied that Kazuki realized what's up.

Attached: [Asenshi] Sarazanmai - 09 [01DF0629].png (1920x1080, 1.39M)

that was Enta realizing the Kazuki was a fake an he wasn't gonna settle for that just because it was catering to his desired

abusers tend to be on top of not caring for the other person's feelings or well beign so probably, and it wasn't fun at all

I've never seen any Ikahura anime and now i'm like ok fuck I have to pick one of these shits to dive into now and I don't usually even like gay shit, fuck

I understood it that way, it's really the only secret Enta was keeping that need to be said I think

BABY DON DON
BABY DON DON
YUME MITE

Attached: keppiman.webm (640x360, 346K)

Utena is much better and gayer but it's also long and complex, Sarazanmai is flawed but it's fun and a good choice to start with.

is it only complex because of the sheer weight of gay? This matters a lot because you're right about Sarazanmai being pretty fun, which is honestly probably why I didn't throw my hands in the air and say "i fucking get it, you're gay"

The leaking tells the people connected what happened. Kazuki saw that Enta had a “secret” kiss with them and sniffing his clothes.

He did. He thought that Enta trashed their secret place because over his obsessive love for Kazuki. Kazuki didn’t know the extent of Enta’s support because it wasn’t really a secret and understood Enta’s desire for Kazuki to be happy was very genuine and pure.

Fujo goggles aside, it seems like most of the relationships between the boys were founded on homoshit; Toi and Enta’s whole conflict in the later episodes basically stemmed from them each being insecure that the other has a more solid claim to Kazuki’s cock, and Kazuki himself was pretty fruity with both of them, so to have a completely no homo friendship end just struck me as blueballing.

Keppi is unironically best boy.

Attached: D8y1SekWkAALF16.jpg (900x1200, 241K)

I feel a bit hurt by the fact that Haruka was the only semi-important character that didn't get a timeskip version.

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Sarazanmai - 11 [720p].mkv_snapshot_16.30_[2019.06.21_02.54.33].png (1280x720, 1.28M)

>The leaking tells the people connected what happened. Kazuki saw that Enta had a “secret” kiss with them and sniffing his clothes.

But immediately after that Kazuki said he thought the soccer team dared Enta to do it. The fantasy didn’t start until Enta confessed.

>Toi and Enta’s whole conflict in the later episodes basically stemmed from them each being insecure that the other has a more solid claim to Kazuki’s cock

Only Enta was jealous.

He's the new frog idol.

Toi wasn’t outright jealous but he basically uses that as his justification to cut himself off from Kazuki when he leaves town with Chikai.

The hair color doesn't match.

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Sarazanmai - 11 [720p].mkv_snapshot_19.13_[2019.06.21_02.58.46].png (1280x720, 1.82M)

Toi revealed that he was jealous too before he went far away (tōi)

Got a screenshot of this?

But he is more sombre and serious, popularity has nothing to do with how charismatic a character is.

No, the gay in Utena is mainly a vehicle for broader themes like cultural gender roles, psychological denial, social marginalization, etc. Plus some background gayness just for the hell of it because Ikuhara.
The complexity is mostly because both the themes and characters are developed slowly and through show not tell, and very little is what it appears to be at first sight. for example, some apparent character developments / messages in the early arcs are actually subverted and deconstructed later on.
I don't think it's immensely complex since I'm a brainlet myself and I still think I more or less get it, but for some reason a lot of people have trouble not being directly spoonfed the messages, and other people do get it but find it pretentious or dragging compared to more straightforward shows.

I get the odd feeling he is gone. All his talk with Sara just seemed a bit foreboding. I wonder if he sacrificed himself somehow offscreen.

The new frog idol can walk...

>tfw my otouto will never sacrifice himself to make sure the sad future I just saw with my friends never comes true

I hope froggirl is like what Pixar does and hints to what his next series will be.

Did Keppi hate frogs because Sara had to use magic to be the temporary resident idol when it was meant to be froggirl?

So what was the ア thing?

KazuToi shipping goggles makes discussion and speculation so difficult it's so tiring

The show itself has the shipping goggles, just don't take it too seriously and it's fine.

The shipping in general made these threads fucking unkumaable.

>Kaouso is otter
>uso is lie
>usoya is lying
>soya is a traditional japanese festival chant
>the fucking otter dance was just an elaborate pun all along.

Kazuki chopped his ear, why didn't he chop his balls

Otterly sexy!

Likable, then. The point is he makes people sympathize with him and interpret his actions in the least unflattering possible way, and that can only help him with a judge.

>KazuToi
all shipperfags are insufferable but it's the entoifags that write reaching essays for their ship the most. i'm just glad that one entoifag got btfo'd

I want Toi to adopt one.

Attached: 1559879228102.jpg (1920x1080, 114K)

That was his explanation for the kiss. I'm still wondering about his heterosexual explanation for his brotherly soccerfriend burying his face in his musk and tongueing the traces of his saliva.

No he didn't, they did interact unlike what you predicted.

>lol those soccer boys are so funny haha Enta you should let me and Toi touch your penis haha it’ll be jokes

the entoifag wrote an essay on how only enta specifically will be the one to save toi

Kazuki is 17 in the timeskip. Abe is out of office and the Diet probably debating letting homos marry. He can't still be this painfully dense. R-Right? ;_;

I mean, he rejects him in the future leak.

No, he wrote normal posts explaining why that would tie into their previous actions but not making certain predictions. You just don't like him/his idea, so you exaggerate it.

To think that I actually felt bad for calling them delusional.

A man of culture, I see

We might be talking about a different EnToifag because I clearly remember him being more than certain that Enta would save Toi instead of Enta and Kazuki.

Eh, I don't think they came up with the leaks themselves, and don't remember a rejection, unless you mean the crying one which is probably about leaving soccer.

But I don't think that.

I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same thread but I can't guarantee it.
But it would have been an improvement, Otter literally had more interaction with Toi than his connected friends.

>that hype as fuck SARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I knew it was gonna come and I was not disappointed.

user, I'm pretty sure the goal is what happens after all the other flash forwards. They have bad moments and put their friendship in peril, but because they want to connect, they overcome the hardships. Most football players recover from injuries without many problems, if that's what worries you.

So the 1st episode is still the best episode, right?

How long did reo and mabu spend fucking once back

>Most football players recover from injuries without many problems, if that's what worries you.
Not that user, but doesn't Kazuki crying like a pussy and quitting the team imply that particular injury was career ending?

EnToifags are also deluded but I don't see them twisting situation to make them about their shipping simply because context allows it less so at least I don't have to put up with them as much

I prefer 9.

imagine being autistic enough not to have separate folders for all possible ships

Attached: D5iPstzW4AQsB2j.jpg (1139x1200, 175K)

The future leaks aren’t definite futures. In fact, I think they won’t come true because of Tōi willingly went to juvie.

Kazuki's a bitch and a drama queen. Don't believe him.

You know how Kazuki is, the injury sure must have been serious, probably with no guarantee of recovery, and seeing the team win without him was a blow in that condition. At least that's my take on it.

they probably told him he had to stop wearing pink to practice and he blew a gasket

hey, that's not penguindrum!

weakest Ikuni anime but still a 9/10 and I love it

You know, I don't think he wants his dick cut off or be a girl full time, but if actions speak louder than words, he definitely enjoys dressing up as a cute girl and his muh real self denials don't convince me otherwise.

Too believable

Is this really the first Ikuhara anime without incest? I don't think I remember YKA having any.

i dont understand how anyone could say this is the weakest ikuhara show when mawaru penguindrum and the clusterfuck of rush that it is exitsts.

Both incredibly gay and not gay enough.

I can't believe Stand By Me was from Tooi's perspective all along

Attached: kazutooi.png (1366x768, 1.04M)

I thought that for a while now. The part about the lightbulb seems kinda Entazuki but the rest is very Toi.

Honestly, I feel like it could be about anyone on this show.

They didn't start their new gig as rickshaw drivers until after the 3 year timeskip

The part about the lightbulb reminds me instantly of Reo and Mabu, as well as the part about sacrifice and "the only thing that won't disappear are my feelings for you", but on a second thought it could also fit for Toi and Chikai.

10 dishu

It was definitely the better paced episode, but that goes for almost any show. I prefer 10 for the emotional catharsis.

the son reminds em of ReoMabu, waking up in a room without you, taking the wrong path, the verse about people changing
I would like to know the story about how they came up with that song so it could be used for different situations
it sung by Toi it definitely should be changed to plural, if ReoMabu singular

I don't know. In and of itself I felt like that was a great episode and I did feel happy watching how things went down, but I do wish the events that occurred were more warranted than they actually were. I agree that more episodes may have been necessary but something as simple as easing up on the repeated sequences early on probably would've helped as far as development is concerned.
But overall, it could be worse, and I enjoyed myself at the very end.

I was worried about your absence mspaint user. Glad to see happy end with royal daughteru watching fondly.

In a way I was relieved because all the characters I cared about had the most positive outcome possible. It was like Ikuni just read my mind. At the same time, it also felt awfully unmemorable for some reason. Maybe the reason why Ikuni's endings were so memorable was because they were bittersweet.

Attached: D9jbSWvXsAAveNg.jpg (600x350, 85K)

this art isn't new but I'm posting it because you can finally see what was hidden, their kappa plushies

Attached: D9jbR0CW4AAJ5eF.jpg (600x350, 71K)

A show will tend to feel unmemorable when it's circular in 11 episodes. YKA was also intensely unmemorable.
Part of what made Penguindrum and Utena work so well was the time they had to build up, work through and realize multiple different story arcs. Stories need to give you time to care about the characters

Bring on the merch whoring. I do want some though.

YKA had a very memorable ending though. Actually, it's the one thing I remember the most, I can't remember the first episodes for shit.

I noticed on rewatch that Kuro's bullet that hits the micanga also seems to injure Kazuki's tendon, the same leg that he later injures. Must be some lingering DADADADADAAAAAAAARKNESS that made him fuck his leg up.

You were a fun presence in these threads, MS Paint user. Thanks for the pics.

I had fun watching this with you guys, ngl

So there will be a new Ikuni anime soon, right?

3 to 5 years give or take

5yrs+ is soon

I think it was effective marketing and companion material. It made 10 more powerful to have a dormant account suddenly come back one last time before disappearing. Tricked my brainlet mind into feeling a real loss over Chinese cartoon characters.

>Penguindrum: 2011
>Yurikuma: 2015
>Sarazanmai: 2019
See you in 2023.

That was honestly pretty great and it also made me feel things, what I mean by waste is the fact they haven't revived the account despite revealing that the cops are fine.

So was or was not Keppi just a NAMBLA member?

They fucked in purgatory and had only just put their pants back on when Keppi summoned them.

This scene was so fucking funny.

I laughed my ass off at this part.

Yes

Japanese prisons have a very low rate of violence and rape. The problem is everything is so controlled that the prisioners can easily get depressed and lose the will to live

Sailor Moon, Utena and MPD had cows

Wouldn't be the first time
>Allegory, allegorier, allegoriest
There was also a Utena episode where there was a hand literally pointing to every single metaphor that showed on screen.

I wonder how there's no "delusion" square, all of his shows since Utena had delusional characters.

My headcanon is that Sara was having her off-screen subplot with Haruka. They both seem to become friends after Kazuki came out as a trannie

Maybe it's needs some fixes and add in some images from YKR and Sara.

Attached: 1540824276977.jpg (1280x1462, 1.22M)

Frankly Sailormoon should be removed since it's not entirely his work.

This. Penguindrum was AOTD tier the first half then the second half was a drawn out mess because it lost almost all the tension that made the first half great. Honestly, as much people bitch about the pacing, Sarazamai’s pacing was good for what it is. If we had a two-cour, it would fallen in the same pitfalls Penguindrum did.

Enough that Mabu probably got pregnant and had a kid by the timeskip.

That’s selfcest, user.

I think lesbians should be replaced with homosexuality.

Does Keppi give maternity leave?

I forgot most of Penguindrum not too long after it finished though. The second half was disappointing to say the least.

The soundtrack is still fire though. And I love Lily Hoshino.

>literally using the fact that he's an abstract concept as a weapon

Attached: john lennon tries pk flash.gif (200x200, 1.83M)

I agree as well. However, I think maybe another ep or 2 would've worked a little better. But definitely no more than that.

I like to think that Keppi is the progressive kind of ruler and he is fond of his guards.

Probably gave them a nice gift for the baby.

I liked when he joined in on the dance.

what was the point of making him as sympathetic as they did to do this to him? a message of "crime doesn't pay"?

I wish I didn’t miss the thread discussing what concept he was talking about. I can’t think anything other than being the antithesis of the concept of self-actualization right now. There is a specific philosophical concept that I can’t remember for fuck all right now.

Keppi pumped out three kappas in a day, so he might hold some high standards.

The prison sequence was really sad. I think the fact it was made on a realistic way, no sign people or gimmicks, was what make the scene. It feels like the lost of the innocent, because despite Toi claim to be a hardass, he's actually a naive kid clinging to his childhood values

Maybe more like "even good intentions don't excuse bad outcomes".

The way I interpreted it was he was the representation of hedonism
"Self-actualization" seems a little off-base for Sarazanmai because it's all about how you interact with others and less about the self

Honestly, I think that was the only way Toi would ever be capable of forgiving himself.

They respawned naked

Luckily he's a juvenile so he got off lightly.

No, it’s the price Tōi has to pay to keep his connection with Kazuki and Enta. Remember the whole thing that sometimes keeping connnectjons isn’t always a joyous thing and that it can bring pain but it’s worth it. In the leaked possible futures, Tōi eventually leaves because of his past. Him confronting it by doing the time leaves him to be finally free of it.

>a message of "crime doesn't pay"
>Reo had a happy ending despite murdering a bunch of perverts and attempting murder on two children.

Reo paid for his crimes at the same time as he committed them.

Oh, nice. So their pants just appeared early as part of their magical girl transformation sequence to cockblock the viewers.

But he went insane and died.

We need the fujobucks from Reo and Mabu please understand

Also the justice could see Toi as Chikai's little sidekick rather than a criminal by himself and Chikai took to the grave the secret that Toi killed a person.

Y'all are crazy. The first half is full of seemingly meandering wacky hijinks that the second half actually delivers the necessary payoff for and resolves key character arcs. Even though the second hat is notably underutilized. And the pulley physics scene is a joke. And Shouma never fucks a burning Ringo. But I'll admit I'm biased from the livewatch threads where there was more than enough to dig into each week.

Mabu was complicit in all of those crimes. He and Reo were at the mercy of a supernatural power with literally zero recourse though.
Chikai is a mortal man in the real world who willingly made bad choices.

But the connections are based on how true to yourself. For example, the first half had the boys revealing all of their deepest darkest secrets together in order to work as team better and also collect dishes. The Kappa Zombie were men who desires went out of whack because they couldn’t admit what were their true desires so it got perverted into some type of hedonism.

What did we think of him?

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Sarazanmai - 11 [720p].mkv_snapshot_12.29_[2019.06.21_12.07.51].jpg (1280x720, 86K)

You could say the same about Toi, he wasn't exactly happy where he was standing
I'm not even defending Chikai honestly, it's just that if that was the real message then it would fall kind of flat since I consider Toi to be just as much as a victim as Reo and Mabu were.

where my react bros at

He fucked with Reo and Mabu (literally).

Fuck him.

He got to tap the best waifu nightly for a decade

If Reo and Mabu are God and Jesus does that mean the incest bingo space is filled?

You seriously expect a human to get away from the law? They made the boys underage so that Toi only need to spend a few years in a corrective home and not have his name reported.

Spooky, especially that time he flashed closer and closer to the camera.

He was a concept

He was kind of an asshole.

What? I'm just talking about the message here. If what Ikuni was going for was to was to show that people should pay for their crimes then Reo and Mabu should've been held accountable too. But I don't really since I don't think that was what he was going for anyway.

They were prisoners of war

>But I don't really since
Fuck, I meant that I don't really care.

Reo did a bunch of unnecessary things though. He was never ordered to zombify neither Haruka nor that yakuza guy and he also didn't have to shoot Enta.

For a concept he sure actively tried to pull a lot of bullshit

And he was never shown conflicted over any of his decisions either.

He was obsessed with his dead(living) wife(male).

Reo and Mabu paid for their crimes with extreme suffering. Just because they didn't die permanently doesn't mean they didn't pay.
Anyhow, the point of this show sure as fuck isn't actually "crime doesn't pay".

>I consider Toi to be just as much as a victim
and a child no less. so why was he so screwed over. lost his whole family, "friends" and behind bars. but the other mains get off? ok.

What the fuck, it's already thursday? Sorry anons, I haven't been keeping up with shit. Post any suggestions for the edit. My plan was to turn them all into kappas inside a water vortex, but I haven't seen the episode yet.

Attached: ashizuri sputnik.jpg (345x220, 20K)

Toi didn’t really lose shit aside from 3 years of his life.

Because Tōi is a human. Reo and Mabu were not. Also Tōi most likely turned himself in anyway to make sure that he had the best chance to stay together with Kazuki and Enta.

He wasn't that screwed over, he was fine at the end. Like I said, I think surrendering himself to the police was the only way he could come in terms with everything he did.

See sara and keppi and you'll understand what to do

He probably turned himself in. That life of crime was weighing heavily on him and going into juvie was breaking away from his brother's nihilistic viewpoint.

>so screwed over
He paid the price for the crimes he committed and got to have a happy, hopeful ending with his loyal friends.

It's better to surrender than go on the run.

He also lost his remaining family (considering they disowned Chikai when he got involved with the Yakuza, it’s very likely they did the same to Tōi), having a regular school life, and any remaining chance to future to be a pro soccer player too.

He was only there for two years, and he's still young. I think it helped them avoid the bad future, remember the callback to "I want to connect but I can't be forgiven" was linked to Toi then. It was his way of severing himself from the past for good and making a new future with his friends.

To confirm he's still gay 3 years later

>having a regular school life, and any remaining chance to future to be a pro soccer player too
Those two are 100% on Chikai though, not juvie.

mabu keppi sara reo

with kappa cupid

He was in a cell in the future leak too, it wasn’t happening regardless.

>and any remaining chance to future to be a pro soccer player too.
The future they were shown had teen tooi behind bars but still playing soccer in college

The thing is that he could lived on and done those things still. It wasn’t like he was on the run or even suspected. The bad future was basically him living through life without having to answer to this past until he got caught.

no worries, bro
cant wait to see what you end up doing.
hope you do a collab of all the pics

He ran away with his brother and he killed a yakuza while his brother was murdered. He's a witness too. The police would go looking for him and he would confessed anyway.

user, that was a separate future. Do you really think that any Japanese school would allow anyone with a juvie record with hard times play on their team? Did you forget that this is the same country that someone’s career would be obliterated if they smoked weed?

They also found a gun on him, I don't know how people think he'd never get caught.

Actually yes. For the underage they're protected and their names aren't reported. Which is why child murders like Naveda-tan are living normal lives now.

Is the weed thing literally the only thing you know about the Japanese justice system? Because yes, I do think they'd let him.

people who have the app are zombie candidates, all Reo did was get ahead, it was gonna be an order soon or later. Mabu was scoldig him for going alone

There was no gun, user. It got destroyed when they were in Outside of the Circle. He was the only witness to that gunfight. Tōi could have gone on several years without getting caught.

His voice is very pleasant on the ears

Also the justice system could see Chikai as the mastermind, even if Toi claim it was his full responsability. From their perspective, it's a very confused boy clinging to his criminal aniki with multiple murder accusations

Attached: 0629taito_top.jpg (190x402, 52K)

You are naive you think that kind of thing goes under wraps for long in the age of the Internet. People are going to wonder what happened between 14-17 and they would know who Chikai was. You can quote Nevada-tan but she isn’t some sort of media star or athlete for a reason.

>Getting ahead on murdering someone is somehow fine
Also I don't really think they'd be ordered to murder Haruka even later, he's way too different from the other zombies. The app only finds possible candidates, but not everybody gets zombified. Probably all Reo was supposed to do that day was track Haruka and talk to him.

You think tooi would get kicked off a pro team if fans found out he went to juvie at 13yo for being the brother of a dead yakuza member?

No Nevada-tan is a regular girl who became a nip meme. You can google it up, she's infamous.

do the criminal records of underage people go away at adulthood in Japan? or would he be stigmatized due to a record?

felt like this story tried to mix elements of western culture with jap culture and came out bizarre if not unsatisfying story telling.

Somehow you think Toi wants to run away. He prefers to face his mistakes.

What expression is that on Toi?

He means that Nevada-tan didn't become a famous adult because then people would find out she was Nevada-tan

why is toi holding a penis?

Yakuza isn't western. Also anons should not apply their gaijins laws on the nips.

>mix elements of western culture
where

weed and guns in childrens hands killing isn't something usually seen in anime but is in western media and culture

I'm starting to think Toi should have been the MC. Kazuki's Haruka plot ended half way through the show and he didn't play as big of a part in the ending as I thought he would.

of course they exists in Japan, what are you on?
It's much harder to get it greenlit in anime and games because they are considered adult themes that can get the rating raised or the content banned, I can't imagine how Ikuni got the weed episode approved

Watch some live-action nip movies.

He was a more solid character than Kazuki, but the show would've been considerably sombrer from the start if he was the MC. His life story was just too depressing.

I thought that it was good to dedicate the series to Kazuki and Enta back and fort and then the last part to Toi, it was surprising how the most seemingly mature and collected out of the trio became the final boss

Which soundtrack was playing during future leak scene?

A bunch of songs are missing from the first OST

That's true. Still they could have done something like start off only showing him in school and around the boys, then hide the heavier aspects until a bit later. Like how Kazuki only had things revealed about him and Haruka little by little.

I just feel like there was a lot more to explore with Toi and it would've helped his whole situation with Chikai feel less rushed.

Despite everything he put my favorite boys though, I loved him. Great voice.

Attached: MabuReo294.jpg (685x800, 55K)

I actually think Chikai being absent and them getting little screentime helped Toi's case, he was a neglectful brother. Chikai was only there mostly when he needed Toi's help

During the time skip Mabu popped put his otterly cute baby.

I think that would've been fine. Showing Chikai being neglectful along with more of why Toi is so desperate to cling to him, etc Any added depth to their situation would've made it a more powerful conflict, whether it showed Chikai in a worse light or not.

>the women who says it's ok for foreigners to legalize it but not Japanese because people will abuse it

Attached: 1560114675982.jpg (682x529, 244K)

I felt this too. His story was the strongest of the show and made the best point about how connections can be both positive and negative for someone's emotional growth.

I'm so sorry, I honestly put anything relating to Reo and Mabu in my "MabuReo" folder and that often includes Otter stuff by extension. lol

Attached: MabuReo275.jpg (599x680, 114K)

It's less having a "low opinion" and more being aware and realistic about the society one lives in, it seems, not that I agree or disagree with her opinion since I don't know what Japanese society is like. Lots of anons on here, for example, are quick to praise the way they believe things work in Japan and criticize the same things in respect to their own countries

also i hope we get an ova of them as Teens

I think it will continue until the Sarazanmai exhibition at least. The manga is the anime with some deviations and the novel will give extra details but it isn't really new content in that sense.

I hope so too. I wanna read it and talk about it with you guys again. ;_;

They were already teens at 13-14.

Cuck undertones aside, I'm glad the not-shotas ended up in a purely friendship context at the end. A love triangle just wasn't that believable anyway

Anons told you it's 3P friendship but some of you choose to believe those shippers.

wtf i thought they got older

Yes 3yrs older.

I'm mad all the sexual scenes where between Mabu and the otter and nothing wholesome between Reo and Mabu. Ikuni owes me a director's cut where Mabu sucks Reo's nipples until he can't take the overstimulation anymore and bullies his frenulum and prostate until his thighs are having spasm and then Reo takes his rage on Mabu by mating press him but they interlock fingers and kisses his forehead

Can somebody post a concise summary/analysis of the football future leak? I get it more or less but my brain is full of fuck and I'd love to get things ordered somehow.

>his fucking shoulders

From what I can tell, Kazuki gets a potentially career ending injury and quits soccer and everything between the boys goes to shit after that because Toi’s too emotionally stunted to express himself and Enta’s too hotheaded when it comes to Kazuki. That scene on the bridge between Kazuki and Enta really looks like a confession to me but that’s still entirely speculation.

you can play it slowly but it's basically just a bunch of bad ends and many aren't interconnected, they are also possibilities that can be avoided if they remain connected.
These are my interpretations: Kazuki getting a career ending injury, Kazuki and Enta breaking up, Toi fucking up and abandoning the team (the subtitle mentions something about stealing? but it looks as if Toi is breaking connections befoe he can get hurt), Toi going to jail and never meeting Enta and Kazuki again (subtitle is loneliness), Kazuki and Toi fighting (or was Toi and Enta? can't recall). Then it's a mess of overlapped scenes and dialogue, Enta leaving both Toi and Kazuki, shit I can't recall and I can't check right now.
The scenes aren't as important individually as their meaning as a whole.
Toi ended up going to jail in real life, but he reunited with Kazuki and Enta because they made sure to never forget their friendship.

I don't think they all belong to the same future timeline considering they show many ways their football team split

Kappabros, was there a reason why drums were associated so much with otters?

That actually makes a lot of sense. I figured all the different fights were just little scuffles that eventually built up into actual relationship-destroying issues over the years at first.

I just assumed it was because across several cultures music has been used to rally troops and motivate armies and Japan was one of those and they used drums. They just mean incoming threat.

So basically, a concept

maybe so

watashi wa gay nen

I wanna see the times Mabu decided to top and he made sure to turn Reo into a needy moaning mess

Does literally no art of mabu topping exist?

Time to finally get around to watching it now that it's done airing.

That's a pretty gay pose.

I wish I was Mabu.

thank you user
anybody knows what constellation is this?

All the kappa segments feel so trippy and everything could still play out even if it's all in their head.

Looks like ア

Bit of an usshole to be honest

Yeah but I think the fact that the fake getting all flirty was what snapped him out of it shows that he's grown to accept the fact that Kazuki isn't going to return his feelings. He was being mind controlled just fine until the fake started talking about taking their relationship to the next level.

>THE MEANING OF THE ED LYRICS

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOY HOLY FUCKING SHIT

Does killing a police officer really only get you three years at juvie?

He killed some yakuza and sold weed. The policeman isn't even a real one or human. He wasn't charged for "killing" a supernatural being.

Check the end of the ED of each episode.
>1-7: three shadows.
>8-9: two shadows.
>10: one shadow.

I really think Ikuni hit it out of the ballpark when it came to Toi. Literally best boy — nay, best character — of the year. Perfect in every way.

I love Toi!

Attached: D7FoKLaVsAUYthh.png (288x746, 154K)

I know. Not only shadows, but the birds too.

Any lawyer could probably easily get a self-defense for shooting a mobster in the process of threatening you. I think it's most likely that he ended up in juvie because of the drug dealing and waterboarding. Japan especially takes drug dealing very seriously, so I'm still surprised he didn't spend longer there, but being young and having a crappy brother might have gotten him some degree of leniency.

Personally I don't think so. They were together later on in life during the future scenes, which makes me think it is what's possible some time. I think the point is that they saw what could potentially happen eventually if they connect with each other, but they decided that it doesn't matter and chose to connect for as long as they can instead of just painlessly forgetting about each other and avoiding any possibility of that negative future.

>wasted all that creativity to just show a message about "connecting" with people
5/10, deleted from my hard drive.

I mean all of Ikuhara's works are about that.

The other one I watched was Penguindrum and that one striked me more as an incest show instead of basic human shit.

Hah.

Bridges connect things.

What? user the siblings in Penguindrum are NBR. Penguindrum was about love and what it can lead people to do for good and ill, and was also a critique of Japanese capitalist culture. The incest (while important) is definitely not the point or the defining feature.

>are NBR
Not an excuse.

Bridges are the kindest invention of humanity - they always connect
-Alexey Ivanov, "The Geographer drank his globe away"

Reminder that all the incest that mattered in Penguindrum was gay incest.

Just thought of Caesar building bridges over the Rhine just so that his troops could engage the germanic tribes on the other side

>connecting is worth all the pain and difficulty, also it's ok being gay
What did this show do that Eva didn't already do better?

Let its gays live at the end

I dont get it

In the end Enta's whole character felt like a superfluous token homo while Kazuki and Toi were actual mcs

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Sarazanmai - 11 [720p].mkv_snapshot_17.19_[2019.06.21_07.58.18].jpg (1280x720, 59K)

>he hasn't seen azumanga daioh

step-sibling incest is still incest

not have mech shit

Enta himself didn't feel like a token thanks to ep3, but it felt like he had the potential for a great arc that got completely cut out to make room for his less homo friends.

Are the world’s memories of Mabu and Reo back or do they have to make new connections with the people of Asakusa?

And gay cops singing.

They delivered the micanga, so it saved the connection

There's no way of knowing. Their new job could be a result of the old one being gone via memory wipe, but they could have changed jobs for other reasons too.
If they don't age like humans, and considering the last ten years probably reallt soured their relations with the people of Asakusa, then maybe it's better to have a clean slate.

It's from Ultraman, every Ultraman does it. Gridman does it because he's digital not-Ultraman.

>last ten years probably reallt soured their relations with the people of Asakusa

We don’t get to see them interacting with other people really and the neighbors probably weren’t aware of the seedy shit they got involved in. Maybe the ones that knew them better noticed the personality changes and correctly guessed they were having relationship issues.

What if only Toi exists and the rest is all his illusion? He spent three years in the prison fantasizing about what would have been if he had chosen a different life. Kappa, friends, otter policemen etc are all his dream.

Attached: toi.png (800x800, 174K)

Not too different if he still sells weed in his fantasies

The juvie and leaving juvie sequence seemed unnecessarily long the first time I watched it, but now I appreciate it more. Showing so much detail really lets you see how it's the polar opposite of how he was growing up under Chikai's guidance.
>boys lining up and bowing to the guard while he bows to them
Shows how the kids are treated as a group and expected to treat others with courtesy, versus the all for us, other people are threats mentality (stated overtly in ep4) when he was with Chikai
>safety poster on the wall, guards watching as the boys sew, officer tells Toi to stay out of jail and make the best of his life as he's leaving
The authority figures have concern for the well-being of the kids they oversee, versus Chikai who loved Toi but was pretty lax about Toi's physical safety and keeping Toi out of jail
>shots of regimented rows of boys taking part in boring daily activities
Shows how life was predictable, safe, disciplined, structured, versus the life of constant chaos and regular threat of violence which was teaching Toi to be impulsive and reactionary
Of course the purpose was to take responsibility for the wrongs he committed, but the sequence serves to show it was also the intervention he needed to reverse the effects of the upbringing he received as an apprentice gangster.

I hope to connect with my Penguinbros and Kappabros under a new form of brotherhood in the future. Goodbye, and yokubou wo tebanasu na.

This show is fabulous. It's short but tight. The message is simple and characters are all likable. I think this is one of the best Ikuhara show. He is far better than Watanabe.

I love those SARAAAs. Reo and Mabu's emphatic SARA-ZAN-MAI and Toi shouting SARAAA while crying before the boys take his hands and shout with him are great moments.

It's weak for Ikuhara but still good.

The latter

It was weak for Ikuhara and attracted the terrible kind of Western fujoshi who have never watched Ikuhara anime.

I’m glad Ikuhara has softened with age and let the characters have a happier ending. It works better since the message is that connections are worth pursuing despite the risk of pain.

Exactly.

It had strong and weak points. Entas non-arc was weak as fuck. The emotional catharsis sequences in 6 and 11 were also flat and underdeveloped for me, even though they were visually fabulous.

I love Sarazanmai.

SKU had a happy ending for everyone except the Ohtoris.

another garbage anime by hackihara

Too stupid and ugly like all of the "jokes" in this show. Honestly all of Ikuhara's latest "memes" have been pretty bad, including seizon senryaku. He should just give up on this "a line that is repeated in every episode" thing.

Hackihara was good in the 90s, just like Hackiaki Anno. Then they got old and senile.

That is my problem with Ikuhara. There are things he doesn't want to let go of, becase he prioritizes his trademarked memes for personal satisfaction over a fresh and convincing writing - whether is breaks or not his own stereotypes.

Got something to say, mob?

Fuck was this ending ever a letdown.

Mabu topping from the bottom and using a toy to massage Reo's shirikodama after a long day of cart pulling.

>bad
>seizon senryaku

2deep4me

It was cute but it wasn't a good meme.

I want to see these two interact.

Farts

>that bubble scene
imagine the smell

I like Eva but it was a huge fucking mess.Actually, that's why it was so "fresh".

Are they both pulling the same cart together? I can’t imagine they’d ever want to be apart after what they went through.

Otherwise reo has to watch people pay to ride mabu.
>mabu still being ridden by others every day

if the cart is wide enough maybe, or each has their cart just not seen on screen
traditionally is one driver I think

It was well-directed and properly written nonetheless. It's one of the best directed anime series to this day.

All the ones I've seen in asakusa were 1 guy

Reo and Mabu are canonically skinny as fuck why the fuck did they become rickshaw drivers

lf the soba restaurant deed belonged to Chikai, could it be passed down to Toi after his death? How does that work in Japan?

So what did Keppi do to the boys in episode 1 that he erased their memories of?

He didn't have the gun on the bridge, Kuro Keppi took it.

They must have kappa strength cause the job looks rough. It seemed half was trying to call people over to ride. Also they do tour guide shit with the ride.
>ywn have Reo try to get you to ride him then he spends the whole thing telling you how great his husband is instead of pointing out the sights

But how would they know, unless he confessed?

I think it would make sense, if he did. One of the bad futures has Toi losing his connections because 'he cannot be forgiven'. But if he goes to juvie willingly, then he can achieve atonement, preventing said future.

It was though. I would argue it was even Ikuhara's best utilized repeated sequence. It got cut down in size depending on the episode, PotC would drag unexpected characters into it, it could be serious or comedic, etc.
ZETTAI UNMEI is iconic sure but it was long, only started looking good in the second half and largely undynamic.

The reason Sarazanmai's repeated sequences failed is because they were a combination of too long and uniform, not catchy enough, didn't have a hook like the pep of Penguindrum's or the grandeur of Utena's, were presented like musical scenes, and the singing was shit.

>Mabu probably points out every kappa statue and shop he likes, and goes on stupid tangents about food instead of talking about the actually notable historical stuff

The singing and the entire kappa setting was dogshit. WHAT was he thinking?

>and this is the stew shop but it's closed, good

Kek nip fujo were tweeting that his tours would be pointing out Mabu’s favorite food shops and where they had their first kiss.

Mabu's romantic date spot tour becomes legend

Lovestruck retard Reo is wonderful after so much suffering retard Reo.

I'm even more confused about where in the timeline the manga takes place now.

That's honestly one of my biggest disappointments with Sarazanmai, He didn't inject any of the fabulousness he gives his male characters in every other show.

Where is Asenshi? Their progress widget shows everything but QC at 100% for more than three hours now.

Can't agree. No other show has had the courage to vore and anally plunder shotas nearly every episode and I appreciate that.

I want Reo thinking every thing Mabu does means he loves him and getting flustered.

As someone who's been to Japan and seen irl rickshaw drivers, they usually are pretty small, but it's all lean muscle.
I saw a guy who was all of 5'5" pulling two people in a cart uphill at Sagano and running. His calves were huge though.

It wasn't even sexy vore and anal plundering.

The courage doesn't matter when it's just not funny or interesting in any way.

They went out of their way to display goods from 2007-2008 and match the daily weather, so I'm sure that was the original intent even though they leave it unsaid so you can interpret as you want.

I know it’s for milking the fujo bucks, but it’s be nice if the rings showed up in future art. yoi set my entitlement bar.

I'm guessing that ReoMabu were chosen to raise Sara before Keppi recruited them to be kappas? Because that's the only thing that even makes the slightest bit of sense.

>not interesting
I'm not going to argue about subjective things like funny, but it must be interesting to live in a world where it's normal

Sometimes anal plundering isn’t sexy in real life. Porn gives us unrealistic expectations.

Raising Sara was all a dream while they were in the keychains.

What purpose did those scenes serve? What artistic merit did they have?

source?

Porn shows me exactly how unsexy anal plundering is.
Japanese 2d porn on the other hand...

The artistic merit of frog shota vore. 2deep4u

I say FUCK real life.

I'm waiting for the subs too. They were fast this time and completed the progress bar in less than 24 hours since the episode came out.

My brain

>thinking miyano sings like shit
end yourself pls

I think user meant that the songs were shit in general. And they all were shit.

He was shit in the otter song and dragged down hosoyan's part.
