Why is Yea Forums so shit?

Too much moderation I guess.

To little moderation in some areas and too much in others. Jannies need to put shonen threads to the fucking torch. Have you ever wondered into a Shingeki no Kyojin thread? It's full of wojacks, incessant shitposting and other garbage. They're awful and these people who come here for that shit stay here and spread. They need to be kicked out.

/tg/ had the problem of too much moderation
Yea Forums does not have that problem

It's weird. Take 2013 as a random example, you;d have 4 -6 shows every season with reasonably active threads and lots of discussion. Often these popular shows were also quite good. You'd get stuff like Mawaru Penguindrum having a dozen or so threads on the release day and a few days after picking apart every detail.

Fast forward to now. You have a few popular entry-level shounen and romcom manga with a spot reserved on the front page pretty much perpetually because they're so popular and their threads are so active, but everything else is kinda dead. Threads for seasonal shows move slowly and generate relatively little discussion and OC beyond a couple waifufags/fujos making "X fucks Y huhuhu" posts like it's /c/. Feels like activity has congregated to a few general threads and even drawn in people who don't particularly like those popular series but just like the fast threads to shitpost in.

Can we just make a board dedicated to Len?

Dude, overmoderation is what killed Yea Forums culture. People back then practiced a thing called self-moderation. It's what lead to things like Naruto threads being spammed with shitpost to not allow any newfriends to discuss Naruto. It's also what lead to the infamous Sakura Fish meme. After the mods got a hold of Yea Forums, attempting to disrupt Naruto threads will get you banned! And so will posting Sakura fish!

don't you already have /cm/
