60 10ish minute version episodes vs 400 25 minute ones is a lot more approachable of a time investment. If they really like the easier to digest version, then they watch the full version. Not hard to understand

I dislike the guys behind team4star way more than whatever abridged does with the source material. l've recently re-watched the abridged version of the Namek saga and the whole Cell saga.
Even though l've enjoyed them both, the Cell saga is taken wayyy to serious. lt's almost as they forgot to make it funny. All the deaths on Namek are taken much less seriously (the Krilin one is actually very funny), while the Cell saga is much more dramatic.
