That isn't true. Most got a few panels or pages to see where they are or how their relationship is. Kagura and Okita didn't interact at all in the final chapter though which is different.

We were at the risk of this getting axed, dropped or cancelled, but somehow someone with influence needed some closure for the manga too. Sorachi is a lucky guy.

Saiki's autism was the reason nobody expected any shipping shit. Sket Dance felt a forced ending but still was pretty decent. Gintama is just a case of the mangaka getting away with his shit for reasons. Maybe he got an agreement similar to Togashi?

Even though I wanted GinTsu this is the best ending the gorilla could give us. Knowing him and the final fantasy arc he could've shit on all of us and kill all the ships but with this open ending the ships will be eternal unlike the Nardo ones where the non-canons are kill.
