The dub was amazing.

Still ship it all these years on.

The show should have ended with a kiss between them.

What the fuck was that ending though.

Is the manga any good? Never even knew it existed till I saw it pop up in a database

Did you guys preorder the steelbook?

FUCKING THIS. Fuck the suits for making the director try to turn it into some Truman Show shit when he never even wanted to touch the subject in the first place.
Season 1 was so god tier with Dorothy and Roger's interactions, then Season 2 hit and it's "Muh tomato" all the time and their time together is sacrificed.

Not as good as the anime, but a bit of a head trip. Some highlights include:

-Schwarzwald without the bandages
-Beck has a considerably bigger role as an antagonist
-Nudity
-Dorothy in a state of undress.

I've never seen this before but I'm interested. Where do I start?

Ep1

Batman: The Animated Series (92)

Season 2 was like a lazy cashgrab. The animation really went to shit and everything felt like a rehash of the more exciting stuff from season one. It felt like absolutely no one was interested in doing another season and the writer backed himself into a corner.

My favorite episode of season 2 is the Beck Voltron one. It's basically just a season 1 episode dropped into season 2, complete with tons of humorous/cute Roger/Dorothy interactions.

Still in my backlog. Ill finish it one of these days

it's AND ACTION, you mong.

I need to see nude Dorothy, for scientific reasons.

Remember that one S2 episode where Roger gets attacked by the mannequin in what's left of the Wayneright estate? That's pretty much all you're going to see.

Why was there an evil Dorothy Doppleganger in Season 2 anyway? I never got that.

I don't have $100+ dollars for this kind of shit, so no

The doppleganger was in s1 but she was mentioned in s2 in early episodes.

The animation dramatically improved. Season 1 still looks great, but the animation was one of the few areas where Season 2 was a blatant improvement.

This is one of 2 animes I have ever seen. Season 1 was great. A cross between Batman and James Bond. Season 2 sucked. Not only did the animation have that washed-out look, but the story was all crappy with Roger winning fights not through cleverness but pressing a different hidden switch on Big O, revealing a never before seen weapon that blew the enemy to bits. The ending was very unsatisfying and I agree with the above poster who said the writer backed himself into a corner.

All hail season 1.

Pilebunker mech with machine guns and chains. Basiclly the perfect loadout.

Shame the ending was a dull "lol it all just resets" copout, but apparently the studio didn't know if a season 3 would be funded.

Still a fun ride if a bit short and directionless at times.

No such thing.

no really. it was good.

I wish there had been a kiss, but at least we got a confirmation in the end that Roger and Dorothy loved each other. I think this is actually my favorite television romance of all time, whether animated or live action.

Twin Peaks.

>I wish there had been a kiss

Ew, go away disneypleb.

>at least we got a confirmation in the end that Roger and Dorothy loved each other

Why do brainlets need fucking confirmations of the obvious?

>Schwarzwald without the bandages
GIMME

Never took Dorothy for much of a love interest for Roger. But I'm way less of a shipfag than most of Yea Forums.
Maybe I should just rewatch it. It's been a while.

Season 2 gave them more romantic development though. And gave us more Schwarzwald.

She literally confessed to him. Beck hated them because of their love for each other.

Really need to rewatch.

The original ending idea, where things loop again but Roger remembers Dorothy

All I can remember was Roger was kind of tsundere is season 1 and in season 2 he was way more of a heart on sleeve about his feelings

This is a bit better, but the whole loop thing is retarded either way.

okay

Cowboy Bebop, Space Dandy, Samurai Champloo, and Big O all have extremely strong dubs where the argument can be made that they even surpass the original.

I remember re-watching it a few years ago and I thought I recognized one of the music pieces. Then I remembered where I had heard it before.

anime batman>>>batman

It's a common theme. Parts of it also remind me of Perfect Dark.

Explain the ending. Was it all a simulation like Matrix?

My god the last few cel animated shows were amazing. Too bad cel animation died exactly when it was perfected.

I noticed how both Wolf's rain and Big O finished 1 season apart from eachother in 2003, both were amazing at the start, but both ended with an universal reset that pretty much set all the progress back to 0.

Yeah, most characters sounded awesome. My favorite moments were R.D's insane ROOOOOGER screams and that one scene where Norman pulled out two sidearms and yelled ''En garde bitches'' at attacking robots.

Haven't read the manga, but I'm guessing thats him.
