I cant see why either of them would wear even fundoshi. The tail is in the way of both pants and loincloths. You would need a completely unique design that had something like a fly in it because there is not possible to stretch a garment enough to get the legs in after you put the tail in or the tail in if you put the legs in first. You would have to have a garment that passed either side of the tail and buttoned or tied above it just like Senko's hakima is altered to do.
