I have mixed feelings. It's a fun ride with great characters; but i feel as though the big explainer at the end is kind of a cop-out

I'm usually not a fan of disjointed out-of-order stories that go out of their way to spoil the outcome of certain things for the sake of it, but Baccano was still a fun ride.
I wish that there were more series that had ensemble casts as enjoyable as it had.

I wanted to like this but I hate how they try to disguise such a shallow, boring story by telling it out of order and having way too many pointless characters. I don't think anime directors are capable of making Tarantino story telling work.

Only ever saw the first episode or two of Durrarararara. The characters either didn't stand out to me as much as Baccano, or were nonsensical edgelords, like that kid who spent weeks/months catfishing someone online just to get them to come across the country to be kidnapped by someone he hired, and then rescued by someone else he hired, just so he could flip the victim the bird and walk away laughing.
Is it worth giving the rest of the show a watch?

I'd say give the entire first season a go, it's really a good feeling once you get to know all the characters. Season 2 and 3 are dragged out messes though.

Love the anime, aside from the alchemist ship flashback episode.
It was way too long, almost the entire episode, I think. It messed up the pacing of the train story and was less interesting.
