Using CGI for the openings is one thing. I never really liked that though so I'm glad they stopped. A lot of stuff people thought was going to be CGI in the Jojo anime ended up not being CGI. Vehicles in part 5 unfortunately are but for some reason there were at least some in part 4 that weren't. Stands are still not CGI outside of Aerosmith. Notorious BIG wasn't CGI. Well, I was shitposting but only because I thought that other post was too. I didn't know that people considered Soul Eater a top tier adaptation, taking in mind that it deviates from the source material and has one of the most infamous anime original endings.

That preview alone was better than anything Jojo has to offer and MHA and HxH are examples of long-running anime with sakuga in almost every fight and they're way longer than 48 episodes.

Different projects have different staff and different production commitees. They're being produced by the same studio, but that doesn't mean there's any real overlap between them. This isn't a matter of anyone at DP saying "let's make Jojo look like shit and FF look great".

It's just a series of asspulls like every other standard shounen, but you get some great art, fun fights, cool as shit lore, and at least decent characterization out of it. I'd say it's on par with or better than KnY that's airing right now and everyone is sucking that series's dick, so I don't understand the less than stellar response in this thread. 16 Volumes out right now, plenty of material to adapt without any filler. The question would be do the plan on leaving it on an open ended ending to leave room for a potential sequel. Soul Eater was only 25 volumes, by the end of the Fire Force anime there would be 20 volumes and would likely be on it's final arc. Guess that will depend if it's a success if the manga sales increase and so on.

Different staff and it really helps that Fire Force has got much simpler designs so it's more animation-friendly. Jojo designs are a pain in the ass to animate.
