why hadn't Isaac Netero done a coup d'etat, he has pretty much the power of obliterate the army of a country, also we he cares about wasting HIS resources in a war against the chimera ants while the rest of the countries can't do shit against them, and my favorite, he can fight to the strongest being ever born(meruem) but some office fuckers are trying to "steal" his possition

>why hadn't Isaac Netero done a coup d'etat
Thats What Killua and Gon started without asking. Netero as chief of an organization need permit from V5 to do that.
>he has pretty much the power of obliterate the army of a country
He could, provided the country wouldn't react. He Even neded help from Knov and Morel to get in shape while fighting chimera ants. Remember that Biske infograph she showed to Killua. Being strong dosen't mean you can always win.
> also we he cares about wasting HIS resources in a war against the chimera ants while the rest of the countries can't do shit against them
He manages an organization, wastign is never good for busines. Countries can do shit like hire Zoldiecks or probably even try to pay of the mafia (either with money or favors) to do the deeds. But It will always be smarter to let Hunter HQ do the work, especially since they have actual fauna hunters and specialists. They can of course nuke the entire country, but that is on them too, they wanted to blame the hunters if things got out of hands. Less paper work.
>he can fight to the strongest being ever born(meruem) but some office fuckers are trying to "steal" his possition.
This manga isn't Baki, answering you properly would require many posts. I will just go with how There were a lot of Chimera ants shown how they wanted to be King at the same time Meruem existed. Greed is pretty curious.
>actually thinking about HxH logically
Kek
I wonder, is Op autistic and retarded? Guys what do you think?
Problem with Netero is at the start of the Chimera threat he was losing his influence on the Hunter Association thanks to pic related which is why he couldn't go full blown out war against them
Pitou is the best girl and is my wife
>This man is the responsible for the death of the greatest human being to have ever lived
I'm kinda surprised Pariston isn't being shit on a lesser extent than Griffith at least
Can Cheetu be reasoned with?
There is no evidence to support this.
And he hsould feel bad if so, since he liked Netero, He is just fucked up in the head. But he would never make Netero die and end his fun intentionaly.
No. He works better with obedience and dominance. He is weakminded like a common soldier.
The ant pig killed Pokkle. I wonder if he’s still alive and if so, gonna pay for his crimes?
Why didnt germany in 40´s just take over the world? I mean they clearly had the best equipped and trained army
What happend to him? Did he started his own sea kingdom?
He probably got killed by some random hunter or is currently fucking animals.
>third hand
when I fapped twice before breakfast, and new loli doujinshi appears
No that is not what I meant. I mean can he stop being a threat and act live like a normal magical beast?
I read somewhere he got killed by a farmer with a Shotgun. If the latter, will we see his sea ants kingdom?
>asshole that kept killing innocent civilians and tried picking a fight to the death with every hunter he saw
The little fucker had no place in society and got what was coming to him.
Okay user. It was Cheetu’s own damn fault.
>why hadn't Isaac Netero done a coup d'etat
He's a martial artist only really interested in having a good fight who is a leader of an ecclectic group of mercenaries and contractors who all have bizarre fixations. Here's a question for you, why would he want to take over a country and where in the story is this idea even presented?
>he has pretty much the power of obliterate the army of a country
Until they drop a nuke on him
>also we he cares about wasting HIS resources in a war against the chimera ants while the rest of the countries can't do shit against them
The V5 hired him to do a job, they wanted it done as descreetly as possible so a strike team of professionals was a better option than sending a military force into a country which would have raised suspicions and drawn attention to !North Korea.
>he can fight to the strongest being ever born(meruem) but some office fuckers are trying to "steal" his possition
There's different types of power user, political power is something Netero wasn't good at, it's also why Pariston was able to fuck him over by sending bad hunters to the CA operation against the recommendations from people like Morel.
why? for starting a discussion about something that i thought it wasn't very logical?
the difference is that he is pretty much a one-man army, also the army of the entire world was strongest than nazi Germany, but netero was shown to be almost as strongest as meruem( and he casually took over a country in two days)
What did Togashi mean by this?
Riot arc when?
>but some office fuckers are trying to "steal" his possition
How those clerks even became hunters in the first place? This is a genuine question I would like to ask. They took the exam at some point and passed it. They must have been crazy strong. That's what I thought. I was so excited to meet this so called "elite" of a hunter world. And then Togashi presented me some random, weak bureaucrats. Truly, masterful subvertion.
Or just bad, inconsistent, worldbuilding and clown's power level wankery
>I was so excited to meet this so called "elite" of a hunter world
Those would be the Zodiacs. Even hunters with Stars vary from actual fighters to doctors, they would still be able to beat a normal person but the organization is mostly comprised of relatively weaker nen users and fighters compared to the upper crust. This is one reason why Pariston has so much power, he appeals to the "weaklings" more than Netero did.
>How those clerks even became hunters in the first place?
By taking the hunter exam. Every exam is different and they may used some kind of method to complete the exam.
>They must have been crazy strong.
Bushidora looks strong but the other two are just average.
>I was so excited to meet this so called "elite" of a hunter world.
So was I.
Hisoka and Illumi killed 123 hunters together. 6 of them were pro hunters, 15 temp hunters from Pariston and 98 amateurs. Loupe was the only one who survived.
>he appeals to the "weaklings"
Most of them were fucking temp hunters.
What is this guy's nen ability and why do I feel like it's fucking OP as shit. He seems like he has the mentality of a sociopath.
>why hadn't Isaac Netero done a coup d'etat,
Why should he?
>he has pretty much the power of obliterate the army of a country,
Yeah so what? Why would he want to fight an army for no reason.
>also we he cares about wasting HIS resources in a war against the chimera ants
Cares about wasting? The chimera ants were all over the place, of course hunters are gonna fight them.
>while the rest of the countries can't do shit against them
We don’t know that for sure. Chimera ants were mostly in groups or alone. Besides the hunters already took care of them by then.
Just remember Senritsu and Basho took the exam and passed.
Maybe they were lucky, maybe they were good. Would make an interesting spinoff to showcase how they did it.
He got more votes than just the numbers of the temp hunters user.
Yes he was holding some capable hunters back, so the casualties could increase and blame Netero even more. He was trolling alright. But nevertheless the hunters managed to capture/kill 314 chimera ants outside the NGL.
Pitou is for petting tenderly and lovingly
Most of them were temp hunters, so Pariston got already vast amount of guarantee votes. But yes some non-temp hunters voted for him as well.
>Senritsu and Basho
Why wouldn’t they pass the exam? Senritsu was once a normal looking human being.
Ever heard of the Rose Bomb, ESL retard?
The Poor Man’s Rose. That bomb killed Meruem Komugi Youpi & Poof.
and don’t forget, it indirectly killed 46,613 civilians too.
Yeah, so it doesn't matter what your powerlevel is when countries have nukes that can easily kill you.
>Most of them were temp hunters
I'm not disagreeing with you but remember that there are only about 200 temp hunters, and looking at it the very first election had Pariston with 249 votes and that number nearly doubled by the end. Even without the temp hunters he still would have had more votes than Cheadle who only had 42 at the start.
And again, he appeals to the weaklings in the organization. Besides the people that hid their powerlevels, temp hunters are regarded as being low-tier hunters. Of course he was able to cultivate such a large base in an organization of less than 700 members.
Yes but friendly reminder that I’m not Op.
there's probably more than one nen ability that counters a nuke
>mentality of a sociopath.
user I...
>And again, he appeals to the weaklings in the organization.
Yes I didn’t disagree with you on that part user. But you must known that most of Pariston supporters are temp hunters. They’re his unofficial personal army because of the temp agency he created.
Pariston is a borderline-sociopath. Is that what you are trying to tell user that?

>Those would be the Zodiacs
No, that should be all of them, especially the ones with stars, they are hunters and the best of them, damn it. Zodiacs are a position, Chairman's favourites. Just because some hunters are not important for the story doesn't mean they should be jobbers, weaklings and act like clueless commoners just to make Hisoka look cooler. Why would pic rel. or his nigga friend, hunter veterans that choosed to be clerks but before that must have been exposed to many life or death situations be afraid to fight random pedo clown? They are not some hopeless buisnessmen or kakin aristocrats. Don't you remember what Menchi said about hunters? The whole hunter society doesn't make sense. It's just bad and lazy writing.
>looks strong
And Bisky looks like a child and very easy pray for pedos. But look, she's strong and at least shows some of that strength.
>Maybe they were lucky, maybe they were good
Or maybe, Togashi is just a hack.
BING BONG
>A total of 478594 citizens died in the selection process, along with 12905 soldiers. Another 466133 fell ill and died within 24 hours of waking from Pouf's hypnosis.
>The East Gorteau Republic and Neo Green Life fell under the provisional rule of international security agency, affectively dismantling both countries.
Just the exact number of lost lives. For us to vizualise that this quantity of people banished from the earth to ensure Hunters now have a big ass empty territory as playgrounds as Ging stated. (For me the numbers feel off, in the selection it looked like there was a lot more people, but I could be wrong). He definetly could come back to this later if hunters need a really huge stage for whatever reason.
Fuck, I just saw Chernobyl and now I realize those people died from Pouf contaminated spores. Always thought it was his nen, so that couldn't carry the poison, but if his spores are actual parts of his wings then they all died from this.
>In short
I'm correct.
ffs at least post good art. The fridge is the place to put kids drawings.

probably because they have (((connections))) so they skip the exams and get approved right away.
>Just the exact number of lost lives.
Of East Gorteau.
>For us to vizualise that this quantity of people banished from the earth to ensure Hunters now have a big ass empty territory as playgrounds
Only East Gorteau. Remember there still people living in the NGL.
>in the selection it looked like there was a lot more people, but I could be wrong
The first 478,594 people died. 5 million people stood outside the palace.
Kek
That sounds plausible but Bushidora may have taken the exam after all.
Pouf's corpse rotted away and became ground zero.
The other two were probably carried through the exam just like how Leorio was carried by Gon, Killua, and Kurapika. Seriously if he didn't make friends with any of them he would'n't have even made it to the hunter exam.
> carried through the exam just like how Leorio was carried by Gon, Killua, and Kurapika.
Now user that isn't fair. Leorio played his part too. Gon was spared and saved by Hisoka too, don't you forget that. And Kurapika would have failed too because he was too stubborn to kill that Majitani guy.
Pouf's corpse and scales was infected with poison. The winds blow the rest of the stench to the people.
>The other two were probably carried through the exam
Teradein was a god damn Double-Star, same as Biscuit and Ging.
No, you're just some power level goober that thinks in terms of who has the bigger stick. Bureaucracy does disappear just becuase superpowers exist and even way back in Greed Island it showed that mediocre stock can pass the exams, it's not solely about physical ability. You're making baseless assumptions because you don't like that the series isn't Dragon Ball and should fuck off
As a Head Hunter, the type of Hunter who specialize in discovering and cultivating new talents. Human Resource Specialist
Ging could have been promoted to higher stars because of his accomplishments in excavating ancient ruins and conversation efforts. That has nothing to do with strength.
There are other ways to earn stars than having to fight some powerful asshole that's a big threat or anything else that involves fighting. Ging got his star from discovering old forgotten ruins and restoring them.
Morel could have been promoted to 3 stars because of his accomplishments in killing the Chimera ants.
>even way back in Greed Island it showed that mediocre stock can pass the exams,
Who are you refering too? I hope you don't mean the Hunter Exam?
Could have been promoted for his aid in killing them off, he was there as support and also he himself said he wasn't very strong
Kek, not even following the whole discussion, are people claiming those guys couldn't have passed the exam because they lost to Hisoka and Illumi? Absolute retardation, everyday I'm reminded that even amongst this fanbase, most of the people are brainlets, poor Togashi
Morel was the most based guy of the entire team rewatching the arc made me realize how much the whole Hunter Association strike force team would have been made impossible without him
Morel is a bro. Knuckle and Shoot are really lucky to have him as teacher.
>No, that should be all of them, especially the ones with stars
Teradin was trying to become chairman but had terrible support. He only got 9 votes in the first he wasn't an "elite" by any stretch of the imagination, and the arc goes out of it's way to show that him and his Pure Paladin Squad were just a bunch of overambitious political types who bit off more than they could chew. Teradin himself is a head hunter and a talent cultivator, not a fighter.
>Don't you remember what Menchi said about hunters?
All hunters should be able to apprehend criminals as part of their job. That doesn't mean being able to take down every criminal otherwise the Spiders wouldn't have persisted for as long as they have. Even Hunters give those guys a wide bearth.
>Greed Island it showed that mediocre stock can pass the exams
Tsezguerra was supposed to be just a lazy fuck. But other thing that the arc showed was power creep, now even the so called "pro hunters" were exposed as nothing special.
>you're just some power level goober that thinks in terms of who has the bigger stick
Baseless assumption
> it's not solely about physical ability
As far as we know physical ability is the basis and backbone of hunter exams, the genius fatass and all other weaklings failed at the beginning. As hunter candidate you don't write an essay but fight, run, jump, oh, and you are trying to survive the deadly tests.
They don't deserve the name ''Pure Paladin Squad'' They're to weak to call themselves Pure Paladin Squad.
There is a way...
All you can assume from that is a sufficient level of stamina and physical endurance. It doesn't matter because, as in all things, it's relative. Pokkle and Leorio passed, there were people that passed or could have passed that Killua could have killed barehanded. And also that the level of difficulty in each exam over the years can fluctuate. It was never solely about physical ability, Netero made a point of that in the final stage
Hisoka wasn't in the CA arc despite being in every other arc in the story because he would've killed Meruem by himself.
>Why didn't the strongest guy become a dictator?
Nukes
Among other other stuff & things.
Like what? This is the Goku of HxH so there's not much they can do about it.
Ikalgo + Knov combo could have killed Meruem, maybe with someone else to make it easier. A bunch of competent nen users with fitting abilities can easily take on even the strongest nen user in the world with preparation if he's alone. This is not Dragon Ball, there's not Goku in HxH
Like morals, not wanting to opress innocent people, having that much time to rule a country, killing people to keep them under his thumb, alot of other factors come into play being a dictator.
He finds joy in destroying the things he loves, so that made him want to cause netero’s downfall

I've picked this anime up and dropped it like 5 times, does it get better after killua and gon get their nen in that battle tower arc. The fights just seemed fucking weird especially with that marble guy and how everyone just got fucked walking towards others with nen and were mutilated.
Don't you mean you're suprised Pariston isn't being shit on a bigger extent than Griffith? Haven't heard anybody really call Pariston a piece of shit.
If you think about it, user, it kinda makes sense why he isn't hated on it. Though he pretty much bribed everybody in order to not grant Netero's wishes of supplying him with reinforcements, the only person to really blame is Netero himself, since he gave Pariston a position as high as the Zodiacs to begin with.
I recommend finishing the Heavens' Arena arc. IIRC there are two really good fights in it, which you probably haven't seen yet if you stopped watching right when they got Nen. If you don't like it by the end of that arc, then you should probably stop.
arc after arena arc is tied for 1st best arc in the series. Even if you don't like the arc after arena arc it doesn't mean you won't like the other arc that's tied for 1st
>arc after arena arc is tied for 1st best arc in the series
Do people seriously think that Yorknew is better than Greed Island and Chimera Ant? It has some cool parts but a lot of dumb shit too.
Yeah, either Yorkshin or Chimera arc the best arc in the series depending on who you ask. I've almost never seen anyone put Greed Island above Yorkshin and even though it's a fine arc, it's more of a glorified training arc and a lot of the manga content is skipped past in 2011. Greed Island's only real strongsuits are the unique nen exercises, dodge ball, and Gon vs Genthru but then there's also a couple big plot conveniences at the end of the arc. Either way to the guy that's dropped the show 5 times, the first 40 episodes aren't much different from typical shonen and only have a handful of very cool moments. After episode 40 is where the series starts to separate itself from typical shonen and all the unpredictable subversion starts
Deconstruction x Reconstruction
Yorkshin arc is 20 episodes of fun, twists and turns, and a lot of tension and excitement. Chimera arc is 60 episodes of something that doesn't even feel like you're watching the same show that you were up to that point, in a pretty unique and good way too
>I've almost never seen anyone put Greed Island above Yorkshin and even though it's a fine arc
I do honestly. York Shin is more consistently action packed and intriguing, but I enjoyed Razor and just running around a video game more for some reason.
Just drop it. Unless you were stupid enough to pick 2011 version. Switch to 99 and give it a go. But if you just want a shonen with fights, just skip the whole thing. Not your average Wan piss or MHA.
What's the point of switching to 99 just to watch 1 arc when the only real appeal is the artwork and backgrounds. 2011 does fine with Yorkshin and even better than 99 in some areas, the only real downside to 2011 is it skips a couple minor scenes and Chollo vs Zoldycks looks like ass compared to 99, but then again that's only a 5 minute fight with a lot more internal thinking than fighting anyways
If fucking Leorio of all people passed by being carried by his friends, then they could have as well. Or fucking hired someone zoydiks/clown tier to carry them through exams.

El payaso calvo blanco renacido...
Do we know Ging's nen ability yet?
just 1 of them afaik
>he has pretty much the power of obliterate the army of a country,
But he doesn't. His feat is moving faster than sound, which is 20 times slower than modern missiles, and his punches are like cannon-fire, so he shouldn' be able to destroy some buldings and armored vehicles.
Also, he can always get nuked or just shot while he is sleeping.
??? thought you could only have one nen ability? then again haven't seen the heaven's tower arc in ages. But say what it is then.
we literally see characters with multiple nen abilities in the arc that it's introduced though. Hisoka has 2
That user is mistaken. Ging didn't show his actual ability, he just flexed a skill of his he has which is copying strike-type nen abilities which he used to copy Leorio's warp punch. We don't know his actual Hatsu, just that he's a master at aura manipulation to the point he can replicate certain abilities and even improvise new techniques.
Ging basically did Leorio's teleportation punch a dozen times through a brickwall and took out a squad of people. No idea what else he has in his arsenal. Also there's many examples of nen users having more than 1 nen ability, even Gon had 3, Pitou had 2, Killua had 2, Genthru had 2, Chrollo has however many, Kurapika has like 5
>Moralfag
>Sends a 11 year old child to fight someone he didn’t think he could defeat
Nen memory is hisokas headcanon. It’s not actually true.
>chrollo has tons
But his nen ability is just stealing other people's shit. kinda doesn't count.
As for gon. he has his power punch thing that he just reshapes pending which 'move' he uses. Killua is enhancing his body with lightning or shooting it. kurapika has his binding chains.
Maybe I'm retarded or just misunderstood what 'nen ability' means. I took it as what the nen was built as i.e. kurapika's chains that he can do all kinds of shit with. killua making lightning/enhancing boy with lightning. gon having his big punch/slice. morel and smoke.
I see that as the nen ability itself and how they mix up the use as just techniques/moves/skills whatever.
Am I retardy?
Not really, but it's like even though they have their nen category, they aren't limited to just 1 move. I think Leorio's an emitter so Ging used an emitter ability when he copied and used Leorio's warp punch (better than Leorio used it himself) which we can only gander that he's an emitter himself or that his actual nen category is very close to emitter so he can use emitter abilities at 60 or 80% proficiency. Ging's probably a jack of all trades type guy and has a ton of shit up his sleeve. Gon was only 12 and had 1 big enhancer attack and a weak emitter / transmuter attack on him, no telling what Ging who's probably around 30 can do, considering he's the master of Kite who's on the same level of Knov / Morel
Well I always got that nen users weren't limited to one 'move' or 'attack', I just didn't count each seperate attack as a distinct nen ability.
In my mind killua's nen ability is just lightning manipulation. God speed is just an application of that. Or Morel's nen ability was smoke control/emission with two uses/moves is the clones and smoke cage.
Only comparable why I could describe it would be one piece devil fruits. Luffy has the rubber fruit, which i'd compare to the nen ability, and can use it to bloat his body, stretch limbs, etc as applications of such.
Just never considered/thought each attack type as it's own seperate ability, just refinement over the design/idea they crafted for their nen.
This is how i know you only watched 2011's version.
You don't change for one arc you start with 99 and change for GI, you brainlet.
>Nen memory is hisokas headcanon. It’s not actually true.
I'm still not sure how Kastro lost. He was beating Hisoka (well Hisoka clearly had full control of the match) and then Hisoka talked about how Kastro wasted his potential on categories he doesn't match up with. So he's saying Kastro would have been better off he just focused solely on Enhancement? But Netero's hatsu clearly dips into many categories and he's fine.
>he has pretty much the power of obliterate the army of a country
Literally just rosenuke every nencuck that tries to pull this shit.
I meant what's the point of going through the visual / VA / audio changes just for 1 arc and an OVA when 2011 is perfectly fine. I just always recommend watching 99 all the way through if you liked 2011 enough. Then again he can always just start over and read the manga
You can dip into mulitple categories, it just means that your ability will have diminishing returns on certain aspects that you might have to alleviate with restrictions, conditions, or other factors. Netero's statue wouldn't be nearly as good if he didn't also have the ability to initiate his prayer as fast as he can so that covers for the potential weakness of a slow startup. But it's got really weak manipulation and requires him to motion for each attack as opposed to being on autopilot like Morel or other abilities Natural manipulators are capable of making.
Kastro would have had a stronger and more familiar ability had he stuck with his affinity for enhancement. As a result of using two categories furthest away from him he created a clone that he could barely manipulate, and because he was a narcissist he couldn't add wear to his clone on subsequent summons meaning it stops being effective when the opponent notices a pristine copy.
The rest of his loss was Hisoka playing mind games and getting Kastro to lose his cool.
I can't wait until Genthru learns that Gon lives on Whale Island and lost his nen then hunts him down for revenge and gives him a slow and painful death that he deserves.
Good, we already have enough retarded here even without considering you.
Why didn’t he just punch harder?
What would Genthru gain besides petty revenge, it's not like he'd get any money like he was after. Instead he'd just murder a nenless kid in cold blood. Even then Killua would just torture and murder genthru ruthlessly if he ever found out
Could Meruem who absorbed his goons survive the nuke?

No
I want to impregnate Pitou and take responsibility!

I would read it 0 times because I'm not a pleb who reads GarbagexGarbage.
What do you read?
Traditional Japanese poetry.
What are you doing here then? God I hate faggots like you.
>His feat is moving faster than sound,
It was never revealed how much faster he was at the time of his death. He'd reached ultrasonic speed several decades back and had only become stronger with time.
>his punches are like cannon-fire, so he shouldn' be able to destroy some buldings and armored vehicles.
Just one hit with a Bodhissatva hand was enough to demolish several large stone pillars in a row. He can most definitely destroy any type of buildings and vehicles if wants to, especially since he can attack several thousand times per second. Furthermore, a cannon-fire-tier attack would not be able to keep Meruem or even the RG in check.
>Also, he can always get nuked or just shot while he is sleeping.
Nukes and heavy missiles would get him, yes. But you're severely underestimating Netero if you think it's as easy as just sniping him while he's asleep.
I want to see Bodhissatva again. Hell, I want my own Bodhissatva.
My end story for HxH,
The Hunter Association returns from the Dark Continent as zombies possessed by Zobae. It is up to Gon to hunt and detain each and every one of them. Gon dies in the process of capturing them.
During the burial, as the coffins holding Gon and Ging are lowered, Leorio, who is now the President of the Hunter Association, says "Gon always wanted to be with his father, and now he finally is. I thus declare him a One-Star Hunter Hunter." Hisoka, who was hidden in the crowd looks to the reader and winks.
The rest of the chapter is made up of shittily drawn images of war zones, juxtaposed with beautifully detailed food. HXH
>The true HunterxHunter was the hunters we've hunted along the way
His motivations are just too complex and can't fit in the story because of the limitations of manga as a storytelling medium. Toagashi created a complex character that could only work in novel format hence these discrepancies. I'm sorry to say this but you are a brainlet if don't understand Netero's character properly. As expected of the master Togashi, he subverts expectations and even creates characters too grandeur for manga.
Isaac Netero is my favorite HxH character.
>His motivations are just too complex and can't fit in the story because of the limitations of manga as a storytelling medium
What bullshit is this?
Eternal reminder that all humans captured by the ants are paralysed with venom and kept alive to be consumed later. Meaning the pig has the highest kill count in the entire manga, not counting Netero’s Miniature Rose which killed 46,613 East Gorteau citizens
>all humans
most humans
Why didn’t they use Knov’s power to teleport the cancer nuke to the castle?
And kill the citizens of East Gorteau? You didn’t think this through at all
They died anyways.
Of the 5 million people, only 46,613 people died, you speedreading mong.
They didn't know that Pouf would spread the disease though.
Who gives a shit about East Gorteau?
Correct, also see
One Piece
>the power of obliterate the army of a country
I think you missed the whole point of that fight. They are martial artists. They are strong as individuals, but there is a limit to what one individual can accomplish. As a species, the power of many obliterates the strongest individual. The strongest nen user on the planet at that moment, who tanked Netero for an hour and got a bloody lip from his final attack, cannot tank a nuke to the face.
I bet you watch Attack on Titan, brainlet. Please leave, this is where sophisticated adults discuss a real intellectual show.
Fuck Meruem though
How is 'Speed of Lightning' supposed to work anyway? According to the wiki it allows Killua to "retain conscious control of his movements", is that supposed to mean he bypasses the subconscious restrictions his brain places on his muscles?
It removes the lag between thought and action. He places commands into his nen and when triggered it reacts by executing the command automatically. So the example is his opponent is manifesting darts directly in front of his body before piercing him with them. Like right next to the skin. He can't normally grab them if he thinks about it, but he knows where their next target most likely is and positions his hands. Once the dart manifested and touched his aura his automode triggered and he instantly grabbed it.
He basically sets up a single action or short burst autopilot mode with his speed of lightning that ups his reaction time and physical capabilities.
No, that's Whirlwind, I asked about Speed of Lightning.

Ohnononono
Well looking at the wiki it's pretty clear. It allows him to utilize Godspeed but without the autopilot function. So he gets increased physical stats thanks to the electric aura but not as much as if he left it on autopilot.
But the only way that works is if his brain is still involved in the process and I thought the whole reason he got a boost in reaction time/movement speed is because it wasn't?
He's still using electric aura to boost his speed and reaction time in both cases. God speed is based on this principle. It's just faster if he lets the aura do all the work based on his commands.
What winds up happening is that Whirlwind is a close range combat technique used to quickly perform an action or for defense. And Speed of Lightning is a mobility ability that's used to cover distances very quickly, although we see that people Killua carries are mildly shocked by this as well.
>He's still using electric aura to boost his speed and reaction time in both cases
Yeah this is what I don't get. Godspeed boosts his speed and reaction time because he programs his aura to send signals to his muscles directly - cutting out the delay of the nervous system. But if he's consciously controlling his movements then he shouldn't be getting a boost.
>Godspeed boosts his speed and reaction time because he programs his aura to send signals to his muscles directly
Godspeed is just the state of using his electric aura to increase his bodies capabilities. This is a semi-common ability people who use electric based powers have in fiction, because at the end of the day things like heartrate and nerve impulses are electric in nature so people make the logical leap that a person who can channel electricity would be able to speed these things up.
Whirlwind and Speed of Lightning are two different techniques that can be used from this heightened state. You can view Speed of Lightning as the base speed increase of Godspeed, and Whirlwind as the faster speed that sacrifices conscious control and extended mobility for even more reaction time. It's pretty simple.
Wow. Now I see. Pariston got the hunters to die at the ants so they could be revived as strongest nen hunters.
> Pariston got the hunters to die at the ants so they could be revived as strongest nen hunters.
Didn't happpen and you're very wrong.
I want Beyond to save Cheadle's life or either one of the Zodiacs.
Holy fuck. I don't remember these
Did you read too fast or something? Or was it just a long time ago? Any you gotta respect Togashi attention to details.
BUMP!
If Killua told Alluka "make all nukes disappear", it would happen
Hints for Killua's needle begin in the hunter exam against Illumi, and when he tries to take on Nobunigga in Yorkshin. I don't really like the literal needle as a plot point but it makes sense
Gon's exceptional talent is mentioned countless times so it makes sense that at his peak, his form had he gone through a training similar of that of Netero, he'd become a beast. Netero was owning Meruem for the most part of the fight and he was half a corpse, Gon San is in his prime so it makes sense he's closer to the king
Meruem wanting to know his name is perfectly tied to his character development, themes such as identity, individualism, the ants and their humanity are the main focus of the arc and Meruem's growth as a result of interacting with Komugi too, him don't giving a shit about his mother right after being born is the whole point, he had to start from there to have the development he then undergoes
Based user. Try this one
I never understood why so many poeple died just from Pouf's hypnosis
maybe they died of thirst after marching for however long and standing for however many days. It only takes what, 3-4 days to die of dehydration? And after marching across a country you're probably pretty fucking dehydrated already
He doesn't have one
there's also holding in your pee for days at a time which can lead to kidney failure / death
That or plain exhaustion, exposure, ect. It was the entire population. Health people might survive but it'd be a tossup for the elderly, for very young, or for the sick
Togashi...is a genius
Radiation cancer by Pouf's spores and rotten corpse and bodily failure like this two anons & said.
The winds were pretty strong...
That can't be, he died like after a couple of minutes, not within 24 hours
yeah considering it was near the entire population there's just a huge range of possible causes of death considering all the marching and standing for days and literally zero human necessities during that voyage for however many days. Possible fallout from the rose bomb could have also made it's way to the palace where people were still standing around for however long after pouf died and the invasion was over. At least Meruem and Komugi got to die happily playing chinese checkers even after the massive loss of human life
>hat can't be, he died like after a couple of minutes, not within 24 hours
you know what I mean
user, of the five million people, only 46,613 people died. Do the math
True perfect ending?
Does Yea Forums agree with this?
>At least Meruem and Komugi got to die happily playing chinese checkers even after the massive loss of human life
>even after the massive loss of human life
>And that's ignoring the unresolved plot threads the anime has
The manga is doing a good job getting around to old plot threads while also starting a zillion new ones. Seriously, the only real plot threads from chapter 1 to 340 were from Yorkshin and they've already been heavily worked on / are in progress at the moment. The only exception would be is did Greed Island straight up end or did it have a server reset. I guess you can also ask why Gon ditched his fishing pole, that thing would have come in handy once Gon went through all the different nen applications in Greed Island - infusing the wire with nen to chain jail people or infusing the lure with nen to bop people from a distance probably harder than his janken paper ability ever could, and it would cost almost no nen
>the chad ladykiller gon being held by a busty hot glasses airhead
>the virgin repressed homo killua being held by a closet homo jobber with 5m en
Togashi... So deep...
friendly reminder that Gon and Shizuku held hands once
This can't be true
>Ging
>a deadbeat
He may be a typical shit shonen father but he seems far from a deadbeat. Also why do these TvTropes usually miss the point or just state the obvious
Netero doesn't give a flying fuck. He's no different than Ging or Pariston, he's in it for the thrills. He prefers instability, assuming it's manageable.
They have many pages that are either false or inaccurate like ''netero being the leader of the ngl'' or ''meleoron being wounded after battle''
>Netero doesn't give a flying fuck.
About what? He only gives a fuck about fighting the strongest fighter and the HA.
>He's no different than Ging or Pariston, he's in it for the thrills.
Mostly but also about duty and being a chairman.
>He prefers instability, assuming it's manageable.
yeah something like that i guess.
That's the same reason the HA allowed the Kakin mafia to regulate security on the bottom floors, at least it works
>That's the same reason the HA allowed the Kakin mafia to regulate security
The HA has no saying in what the Kakin mafia can & can't do in Kakin. The Kakin government allows the mafia to do as pleased.
actually, you're right. I remember Mizai talking about how lax things were on the bottom floors but that was attributed to Kakin's lack of care
>Netero is all about rising to absurd challenges
>Netero keeps Pariston around explicitly for the adversity and challenge he imposes
>Pariston was behind most of the interference in the CA arc
>"Why didn't he just kill them all to get around it"
It was a different sort of sabotage than people being after his spot, and for all consideration it doesn't even seem like Pariston though Netero would actually die. Netero also took a bit to realize he probably wasn't going to make it, so most of the arguing of terms was done misinterpreting the situation. But through all of that all parties involved still were 100% certain that Meruem would die.
Then you realize that every one of the 3 mafia is affiliated with the Kakin princes. Hell all the 3 mafia dons are blood related to Kakin Royal family.
>entire goal in life is to keep HxH weird
I like him
Bad writing
The most normal HxH thread.
One based chairman.
Chrollo cheated
Pouf was directly exposed to the fallout of the bomb and took in massive amounts of poison. Those 46k dies from normal exposition to the poison, from just being touched by Pouf's scale or being around his corpse, which was made to not kill that quickly.
The poison itself has a precise timer created to cause as many chain deaths as possible and mass casualties.
Don't you loved it that Togashi decided to include that part? I know I do. It makes this while battle and the aftermath feels like a pyrrhic victory to me. Especially how the Hunters were talking about preventing those tens of thousands casualites.
I don't think we will have any chapters this year.
>Who gives a shit about East Gorteau?
It's not that we give flying fuck about East Gorteau. It's more how the hunters were trying to prevents those masses of casualties only for them in the end top happen because Pouf was infected by their bombs and spreads his cancerous spores to hypnotized people, causing 46,613 of them to die anyway, the same thing they were trying to prevent in the first place.
I think overthrowing an entire nation in a single night and commandeering it to an organization of about 300 idiots would cause more problems than it fixes...
Kurapika Kurta
Kurapika Paladinknight
what would happen if netero was eaten and turned into a chimera ant? Would he have killed the king easier?
>Would he have killed the king easier?
Like hell he would. Chimera Netero would become Emperor Ant and rape Meruem like the tiny little bitch he is.
Kurta babies
We've never seen Ging's nen ability.
He's just such a genius he can copy stuff like Lorio's hatsu after seeing it.
Pitou is kind
Wrong. Ging is an emitter and he has exactly the same ability Leorio has. That's why him didn't dodge the punch; he wanted to test Leorio's ability.
She would behead each of these cats if Meruem asked her to.
>Mumble x Mumble
>Hiatus x Hiatus
Pitou is loyal.
Hunters are stronger and braver that 99% of the population, so Teradein is probably weak only by hunter standards (and the hunter exam may be demanding physically speaking, but by being smart you can succeed without being a superhuman). Togashi intentionally shows normal looking people being hunter, because he expects the readers to understand that even if they are basically normal people on the superficial aspect the mere fact that they are hunters means that they are special, so there is no reason to put emphasis on this, if you complain about teradein you must also complain about pariston.
i'm not sure we're talking about the same, but I always wondered why did Netero take orders from anyone, kinda like the Hokages from Naruto. We're talking about him being the absolute strongest human, head of the orgaization of the strongest humans... and he still listens to politicians?
THOUGH I can kinda see it. They only function in society because of the benefits the government gives them. Those paychecks and passports of the Hunter License are thanks to those connections, welp I just answered myself.
They could just nuke Netero if he tried to take over the world
He's a fucking hunter. He HAS to have a nen ability, or otherwise he wouldn't be a member of the organization.
Actually, all a hunter has to know is Nen. It would be ironic if Ging is just such a pro at aura manipulation he never bothered to make a hatsu himself and just coasts on raw skill.
