Have a better way to fix the final fight so that it doesn't end in a blatant asspull.
Other than that, it is fine.

Attached: 1530581945359.png (1801x719, 1.24M)

>asspull
>set up many chapters in advance

I wouldn't. It's simple, but perfect.

I'll agree that then ending should have more thought put into it. Instead of GER just punching KC have him win in a way that drives home the fact that GER is thematically the means to change fate, where KC is fate itself.

*the ending

Have Fugo come back on Diavolo's side and kill Narancia

>set up many characters in advance
>villain/sidekick of the week all over again
we only saw spice girl once
purple haze once
half an episode of silver chariot and SCR

>the final fight
>>implying there's a fight

That would be an interesting twist.

If the artstyle went back to phantom blood/battle tendency /Stardust crusader style then the anime will automatically become 10/10. No need to fix shit.

Risotto has personality of actual serious assassin. There is 1 more scene in Venice when he almost finds boss but he manages to leave few minutes earlier.

That has nothing to do with GER being or not being an asspull. Judging by your quote of my post you completely misread what I said.

Deleting it

>Fugo leaves
>Story diverges from the crew to Fugo struggling by himself (no, not Purple Haze Feedback) occasionally
>chapter here and there, moreso for more plot exposition/buildup rather than a separate story necessarily
>Fugo comes back near the end
>Realized what happened to Narancia, Abbachio and lastly Bruno
>Either sacrifices himself in some way to amend for letting his friends die by protecting Giorno or getting him the arrow, or redeems himself some other way.

I'm just really disappointed about what Araki did with Fugo.

Attached: mfw.jpg (327x309, 30K)

>implying Fugo will be able to bring himself to harm Narancia, or anyone from the crew for that matter.

Yeah, his Stand was super-interesting.

I have some bad news for you user...

Imagine unironically liking that shitty SC anime artstyle.

This is actually a great opportunity to ascertain this:
What is the official Jojo canon?

it looked like shit

honestly not that much aside from maybe having a scene with Giorno and Diavolo duking it out before he gets ARROW'd. part 5 has been the best part adapted so far imo, can't think of a single episode I haven't enjoyed. you can tell the people working on the show clearly love the source material, it's refreshing to see when so many other shows airing have god-awful soulless productions like OPM S2

>Muh "FUGO WAS LE EPIC!!" shit again
Fugo was objectivly the worst member in Passione

Attached: diefag.jpg (200x200, 21K)

It's pretty simple, actually:
Nothing outside of the main manga is canon. Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan isn't canon, the novels aren't canon, the anime isn't canon. Nothing is canon that wasn't the Jojo manga.

But his Stand was cool. It could easily win against Diavolo.

Yeah, if it were up to you all anime characters would be 10year old girls

Make Giorno more interesting

>hurr durr your a moeshit eater if you dont like this fucking shitty as fuck artstyle
SC was absolutely fucking hideous, PB and BT actually looked amazing but SC fucking ruined everything. DiU was okay, VA looks decent because at least it doesn't have the shit color palettes like SC did.

Give examples.

bring back bestboy because he's best

Attached: iu.jpg (1280x720, 79K)

>Made clear from the outset of the fight that whoever used the arrow would win outright
>Giorno uses the arrow and wins outright
>Dipshits still cry "ASSPULL!!!!!!"

SYMBOLISM

Attached: op.png (1920x1080, 1.3M)

It couldn't, though.
>Epitaph sees that Fugo's going to use Purple Haze
>KINGU KURIMUZON!
>Diavolo lol nopes himself out of danger and sets himself up to make Fugo into a donut when the timeskip ends

what's the symbolism?

SAKURAI

I'm reading part 7 now and I'm at the Tusk fight and it doesn't feel like much has happened. Does it just have a very slow burn? The stands seems weirdly simple and don't have many designs like they used to.
It just feels really off compared to the stuff I've read before so far and I'm wondering why it's always so highly rated, because it must pick up later, right?

Rewatching the first episodes and they were genuinely so good.
Even disregarding the animation quality, which is not really a big deal as some people make it out to be, and it's excusable because of anime budgets. Take a shot like pic related for example, it doesn't have amazing animation to make it look really cool and the storyboard of a fight seem engaging and dynamic. Hell, Jojo never needed WOW animation to make it work.

I think after Soft Machine the direction really fell apart in music and visual presentation. It felt like they were really inspired and taking some liberties with Araki's material. Compare it with now where it seems like they just copy the manga shot for shot... After Soft Machine I think only maybe Little Feet, Baby Face and Mystery of King Crimson were arcs that really stood out in the anime for the creativity in the adaption. I hope they can bring back this feeling for the Requiem arc

Attached: Screenshot_1.png (1146x647, 1.28M)

I've only read the manga but personally I feel like part 5 is kinda boring towards the beginning and starts getting good at the train fight.
Seems like everything really picks up from there in comparison.

>more mafia shenanigans before they have to go bring Trish to Venice, as to not have the entire plot only span over 8 days
>have Giorno and Bruno think of a way to get to the boss before even hearing about Trish
>emphasize more on the somewhat tragic irony that La squadra and Bruno's group could've worked together to defeat the boss, but instead fought each other
>give Trish a bit more of a key role or/and exchange of some kind with Diavolo
>bring Fugo back
>maybe save Doppio
There you go. Otherwise it's pretty flawless, I think.

Attached: 1560562785728.jpg (255x281, 16K)

What did you think of Rissoto vs Dopio?

You should rewatch Notorious BIG, Metallica and Green Day and Oasis because those were creative as fuck.

Attached: 0.jpg (1920x1080, 151K)

The beginning is a slog. I think Scary Monsters is a little after where you're at (assuming you're talking about the fight against the hook kid) and that's the first really good arc. I honestly think it's pretty overrated. It has some really good arcs in it but for as much as Jojolion is shit on I think it's much more consistently enjoyable even if it doesn't get as good as SBR's peaks.

While i agree with you, many manga elitists pricks want the anime to be a 1:1 copy of the manga with the same detail and drawn. (which it's absolutely not possible)

Wouldn't be surprised if the direction of the anime was under some people who have this kind of mindset.

Yeah, I mean the hook kid.
I'm enjoying it so far, the setting and characters are really refreshing and I like the whole body of Jesus Christ stuff that's going on, but I miss each character having their own different stand designs a such, you know?

You will probably see stands manifested in physical forms by the end of "the true man's world" arc till then it's utility type stands.

Attached: 20190620_025227.jpg (321x321, 107K)

Some of the more likeable assassins should have survived and teamed up with Bruno's team after Risotto died.

Have the Villain actually win for once and make Diavolo an international threat where he has to continuously fight off hero stands until he loses to Josuke

I'm sick of Shonens where the bad guy always loses in the end

Attached: BtuqK4G.gif (500x581, 355K)

>I'm sick of stories for teenagers where good prevails over evil
Sounds like you're sick of most stories in general.

Okay cool, that's what I was hoping for. Thanks user

I don't mind when the villain wins but the protag has to pay a heavy price, or he loses a lot of himself along the way. Aka the doomed hero journey

But the fact that most of Jojo is literally Nothing matters until the final arc where the big bad is defeated is really what puts me off of the show

I'll still read/watch it because It's still fairly more interesting than a lot of things out there but it's not something I'll be thinking about 5 - 10 years later like I do about other media such as original FMA or Code Geass

Attached: dead man.jpg (720x540, 37K)

Can't wait for dio to come back this friday

THIS
I love enemies-to-pals scenarios.

Well, Gundam IBO had the 'bad guys' win and many people on /m/ were upset about it. Pussies.

Jojo is for pure entertainment, not a good series to use your brain for.

Attached: dedkzz3605331.png (903x509, 875K)

but Araki showed DIO at the top of the steps and Diavolo at the bottom of the steps. the symbolism in JoJo is off the charts.

where's joubin...................

Increase the amount of time spent on the mission. Having like, 8 days for 5+ people to bond is just silly. Giorno joined in too late, after everyone else got to know eachother.
Make it so the gang only knew eachother for a very very brief period of time before giorno joins in, Give more time for them to do some low level mafia shit, like beating up low tier criminals or stealing things or dealing with people not paying their protection fees or whatever before they get the trish mission
And just a few more moments of light hearted bonding and casual conversation. I really liked how powerful the villians were and how close they always got to winning, But it was just exhausting without a few more small breaks inbetween them
oh and make giorno act a bit more like a 15 year old. Hes no gary stu but hes fairly close to being one

there's a dude who has a small airplane for a stand, and the other is just another muh stand is a gun
Do you remember the guy who had rewind as a stand power ?
Really a proper stand with destructive power and nearly unstoppable poison is not the worst

*kaato
FTFY

Eliminating Giornio from the plot and making Bruno the sole protagonist.

Tie Dio into the story or else there's no reason to make Giorno related to him in part 5

>giorno revives dio

I'm quite the opposite. I love the beginning of Part 5, mostly because of wasted potential that the introductory elements of the story had. The mafia setting is still somewhat relevant, Giorno is still the centerpiece, the cast of side characters is interesting and they have to lay low and pretend they're loyal while moving up in the organization.

I kinda wish it had stayed around Naples and there were more moments of daily life in the gang involving the characters.

And also that Giorno's character arc wouldn't be finished before the story even began. Make Giorno be the lovable rogue he started, but kind of an unemotional loner because of his bad childhood that slowly grows warmer and affectionate. Make it so that instead of the "random gangster taught him humanity" from the beginning, he grows as a person through his daily interactions with Bruno and the others and by the end he realizes that they saved him from his fate to be a twisted person, emphasizing the difference between him and Diavolo and giving him an actual good reason to turn the mafia into something better.

Instead of having koichi introduce the part have polneraff searching for diavolo

Kinda hard to fix something that has asspulls popping up every second.

remove giorno and gold experience, make bruno the main character

Attached: 1555198481757.jpg (960x619, 85K)

>diavolo uses the arrow
>the arrow can sill be used
>the gang use the arrow
>one of those requiem stands can revive for a few secs someone
>dio get revived
>a bunch of mudas with dio and giorno just like in the PS3 games but againts king crimson requiem while the other members of the gang hold KC up with their requiem stands.
>diavolo somehow survives and runs away just to find himself in front of fugo have been seeing everything from a distance until now
>he kills diavolo with purple haze and return to the gang
>giorno says goodbye to dio brando and becomes the lider of passione.

idk why people keep fucking saying this shit. An AOE like Purple Haze's virus is not effective considering you could move 10 feet away from the bulbs impact and be free from harm. A simple Time Erase to move away from the virus is all he needs. Since Fugo isn't immune to the virus it's logical to assume the virus wouldn't be anywhere near him so he could just move towards Fugo and kill him in the process.

>Dio wank
Ew

>until he loses to Josuke
lol why the fuck would he lose to Josuke of all people.

He's in.

>give Giorno a personality besides “muh dream”. What are his likes, dislikes, his weaknesses or flaws? He’s just a plot device currently. Also it would be nice if he actually mentioned DIO in anyway instead of just stealing his catchphrases.
>have golden experience keep it’s powers consistent from the beginning instead of turning it into a crazy diamond clone
>on the same note have Sticky Fingers powers be consistent too. Like how does getting punched by sticky fingers kill Pesci yet Bruno can cut his heart in half in the same fight yet come back alive? Or what about the guy who was tortured despite sticky fingers cutting off his head at the beginning of the story?
>make Doppio the main villain, he’s more interesting than the Kira/ DIO hybrid
>have the final fight be a real fight instead of this shitty body swap episode chase scene
>have a bigger role for returning characters instead of Jotaro and Koichi being in the first few chapters and Polnereff being in the last few chapters

>on the same note have Sticky Fingers powers be consistent too. Like how does getting punched by sticky fingers kill Pesci yet Bruno can cut his heart in half in the same fight yet come back alive? Or what about the guy who was tortured despite sticky fingers cutting off his head at the beginning of the story?
I imagine Bruno can control whether things are still connected or not despite being separated. But Bruno disconnected himself when hiding from Pesci. There's a difference between separating yourself on purpose and beating the shit out of someone and then chopping them up with your power.

>have the final fight be a real fight instead of this shitty body swap episode chase scene
The point is KC is invincible and there's no way to fight Diavolo directly.

>make Doppio the main villain
Doppio isnt interesting without the split personality thing

Just keep the split personality and make doppio and diavolo a team, like they did with mettalica, just let doppio have the time skip and he becames a really good villain.

Erase all of it.

>final fight
>silver chariot requiem flip flops shit around and doppio dies, leaving diavolo
>diavolo tries to use king crimson but realizes that because doppio is no longer with him, he can't use epitaph
>diavolo must not work around this
>the gang discovers this hole in his armor and uses it to their advantage
then again the arrow had to come into play somehow, just don't make ger's ability so stupid

*now

Wtf he looks like a vagina

I wouldn't because its as good as all the parts!

Attached: 1546557270465.jpg (250x316, 13K)

The final fight is anticlimactic, not an asspull

>asspull
>3 members of their gang died just to give Giorno the victory
>Giorno tried to outplay KC and Diavolo in every fight
>Giorno actually wins by Bucciarati's sacrifice
>Giorno's one last gamble paid off

Get out of here you low IQ faggot. There are legit bad things about the ending but GER being the antithesis of KC isn't one of them. Araki could've easily shown Giorno's path to being a capo and him trying to face off the remaining Stand users but he didn't. Presumably because the whole theme of GW is for Dio's son to defy fate by not turning into a homicidal maniac like his father and being the antithesis to Diavolo/KC.

Post out-of-context pages from part 6 you can't wait to see animated

Attached: out-of-context.png (1404x1080, 3.41M)

An asspull would Giorno suddenly discovering a new power that BTFOs King Crimson without the Arrow and everything is fixed

It was outright stated that whoever pierced themselves with it first would win and it's shown that the Arrow basically gives you whatever you desire most in that moment you pierce yourself with it, it just so happened that when what you want is "I need to absolutely beat a near-invincible Stand power" you get an absolutely invincible Stand power.

>and it's shown that the Arrow basically gives you whatever you desire most in that moment you pierce yourself with it
No, it gives you the power to control souls.

C-moon is one of the most fun things to happen in all of Jojo. I do wish the Pucci stands actually had something in common though.

Have Fugo come back and save Narancia from getting offscreen'd

SC was fucking hideous, probably the most ugly anime part yet
everything had dull-brown colors and everyone had too strong jawlines and cheekbones, making them look retarded, especially "17 year old" jotaro who looks like he's in his mid 30s

battle tendency and phantom blood were the peak of masculine jojo art-styles, the faces were still manly but a lot smoother overall and there was much richer color varieties in almost every scene

Attached: mista.gif (600x338, 1.4M)

That was the point, they were emulating Araki's style at the time which made everyone jacked as shit but it only really fit with the first 2 parts because Jonathan and Joseph were supposed to be these pillars of men doing martial arts shit against vampires and aztec fitness gods

Introduce Doppio and his journey parallel to the gang earlier.

>Have Fugo come back and kill Narancia onscreen
ftfy

no

Lisa Lisa shows up and sucks my penis and makes me cum in her vagina
Then Proscuttio uses his stand to age it until it’s ready to be born, and then it is born and me and Lisa Lisa raise out new son who becomes the greatest of all Joestars

That kid would have no Joestar blood. He'd be a failure.

He’d be an honorary Joestar, so he’d be honorarily badass
Dio doesn’t have any Joestar blood and he was pretty cool

What confuses me is why Diavolo never used a gun. His powers are pretty dope, but the "setup" usually requires himself to be in close range to donut his enemy, and that wouldn't exactly work against AOE stands like Purple Haze. Knowing exactly where the enemy will be located and being able to point and shoot a gun in that exact spot would fill in any hole of his MO, outside of hax powers like GER which he never could have even imagined.

>tfw realize it's polnareff's hand bleeding in the jojo part 5 openings
being an anime-only owns. kinda wish i didnt read part 4 and watched it instead

Attached: megumin.gif (540x302, 917K)

All of you complaining about removing the Dio and Giorno elements got it all wrong. Araki very intentionally wrote the Itallian part of Jojo to have heavy Jesus symbolism.

Dio (God) has a son named Giorno (standing in for Jesus) with life giving powers that defeats a Diavolo (Devil) in one of the most artistically saintly settings possible - Rome. Giorno's Mary Sue-ish capabilities and composure are intentionally perfect because he is symbolically Jesus (if Narancia's death in Giorno's body wasn't on-the-nose enough as crucifixation symbolism).

Bruno being the real MC is fine the way part 5 played out - Bruno goes through more human drama and serves the well-developed main character role in a story where Araki wanted to intentionally make the Jojo perfection.

at least doppio doesn't have to suffer GER

Attached: IMG_20190620_051528.jpg (1920x1080, 154K)

Basically Araki's first plan but it made him too sad.

>I don't mind when the villain wins but the protag has to pay a heavy price, or he loses a lot of himself along the way. Aka the doomed hero journey

Literally part 5. And 3 too actually. Part 1 too, are you even talking about the same series.

Delete the Rolling Stone arc. It doesn't serve any purpose to the story other than to beat the reader over the head that part 5 is about fate.

it's an empty shell...

>quality posting

Bruno doesn't randomly become a zombie for half the series but instead just dies like a normal person during the final battle so that there's no debate about why he could come back to life when two other characters who were killed in near identical ways couldn't.

Attached: 1556331155139.png (680x553, 425K)

What did the Boss actually do wrong?

He tried to kill his daughter.
Other than that, not much.

I love it.

I respect the first user to have posted a shitpost.

The win-mcguffin conveniently special arrow is in itself an asspull. Just because it's mentioned somewhere before that doesn't justify its existence.

What part didn't end on an asspull?

Part 1?

Uh, are you forgetting the whole "head of a massive criminal empire, "employing psychopaths," and "Chopping people up as a warning to anyone who tries to look into his identity" thing?

>muh Christian symbolism
Retards thinking a few sprinkled references to another work (and especially religious) suddenly makes something deep and interesting. And as far as those go these are as shallow as a puddle and hardly related, like dafuq does the Jesus story have to do with the Devil? Roman Colosseum being the most artistically saintly setting possible? Why the fuck aren't they at the Vatican then? And hell even if Giorno is ''symbolically'' intentionally supposed to be Jesus-kun in the most shallow average-Japanese-person-thinks-it's-exotic-therefore-cool kind of way like it's done generally in anime, that does not make him a good character. People like this also think Evangelion is deep for its ''''Christian symbolism'''' when it's just there cus japs thought it looked cool, get fucking educated.

Giorno has a personality, I think Araki should have made him stand out more.
>have golden experience keep it’s powers consistent from the beginning instead of turning it into a crazy diamond clone
Punching ghost healer =/= CD clone.
Giorno's healing is really different compared to Josuke's

The baby would not age, he would just get grey hair and look like an old person.

Well in his exemple, Diavolo wins but still ends up losing to Josuke.

Well the anime has its own canon separate from the manga. Neither is more important than the other. You can also treat the anime as the extension of the manga without a problem. Same thing goes for every anime adaptation that doesn't drastically change the story

it does pickup later

but, be wary that even though SBR is the largest part currently, it has one of the smallest rosters of stands and stand users thus far. Its focus is much larger on the story than on the fights.

>Fire Force is 4 cours
Rip Stone Ocean

いかん いかん
がまん がまん

Fire Force is 2 cours

I see nothing wrong with that, we never see him actually do anything that bad. He lives in a criminal world where everyone is corrupt, he is just at the top.

Giorno stops selling drugs but still is going to be running a criminal empire. What does he think a gangstar does.

Completely agreed. Loved the beginning but it's such a waste of a setting and characters the way it turned out. I think it was also the perfect opportunity for having more tag-team battles all around cus of the group dynamic and apart from a few moments here and there in the manga, it's never fully utilized. Just nerf some of their stand abilities (mainly GE which should've stayed just about making small animals/plants and you can keep the damage reflection idea but limit it, and also no healing bs) to emphasise their needs to team-up and work together creatively to solve problems in various scenarios.

Fire Force isn't really DP's regular team. It has some ex-Shaft guys. Too bad Yuki Yase didn't do some Part 5 episodes, though. Dude is a shitty series director but great episode director.

giorno is just as evil as diavolo. He just wants his own version of evil in this world which does not match diavolo's.

Giorno is a hypocryte then. The Boss has more character and flair than Giorno in the few chapters he is in it than Giorno in the entire story.

Why does Araki make his villains so much more interesting than the heroes.

>giorno is just as evil as diavolo
i wouldnt compare petty thievery to chopping up some fag and sending him back to his team

Give Narancia a boyfriend.

what kinda of vagina have you been eating?

Don't make Deviant art write Giorno and Bruno
Make Giorno's ability consistent and remove the healing
Remove the "muh drugs" motive
Don't kill Squadra off and make it a much bigger three way battle
Give Fugo more than one fight
Remove the insane plot armor the crew has
Don't make almost every enemy lose because they got too cocky
Make the whole later half more enjoyable
Flesh out Passione more
Make the crew more grey instead of pretending they are good human beings, they are gangsters after all

At least Giorno has a moral compass

Dude had it coming.

I love my mom but hate my boyfriend.

More gruesome eye candy would be great.

Attached: in_the_court_of_the_crimson_king.jpg (500x375, 133K)

Giorno and Bruno being gangsters with a heart of gold drives me crazy. How do you make a story where the antagonist is absolutely justified in his attempts to kill the heroes of the stories, he runs the goddamn mafia, of course they sell drugs, good god Bruno is a fucking retard.
Trish should've been the MC, a story about a girl trying to come to terms with her dad being a psycho gang leader, trying to stay alive and and get help from other members of the mob who want him gone for their own reasons.

araki is projecting the "honorable yakuza" thing the japs believe onto the story.

giorno had his supposed "moral upper ground" and his gang of cast-outs behind him, to help him come under a good light.
If he had decided to move alone, he would have been as brutal as diavolo, if not more (see ghiaccio).

I think we can all agree that the biggest problem is how weak Giorno is, having a likeable protagonist and a guy you can get behind is the most important thing of any manga, movie, anime, show, video game etc.

I like him a lot so fuck you

giorno looks cool in this PV.

>t. brainlet

They sold drugs to children. That was what they didn't like. They didn't care about selling drugs to adults.

>How do you make a story where the antagonist is absolutely justified in his attempts to kill the heroes of the stories
Jojo has been like this since part 4, it's soft seinen

Wow! Discriminatory practices! Giorno is a hypocrite.

>soft seinen
What does it even mean? Is there 'hard seinen'?

The problem is they were dealing to kids.

Steel Ball Run, where the """villain""" is the hero of the story.

Attached: Valentine.png (500x528, 70K)

Gay words that modern Yea Forums uses to justify their shit taste. Try filtering the word "seinen" and suddenly the board becomes a lot more tolerable.

Imagine if SBR is animated in current years. Funny Valentine comparison to Donald Trump will be overwhelming and exaggerated.

Tbh this could easily be fixed by not making it solely about muh kids drugs. It makes both Bruno and Giorno seem like total hypocrite morons. I thought the whole point of the gangstAr angle was this group of characters that are stuck inside the mafia from various circumstances coming together to dismantle it from within. That would actually make sense. And perhaps make the whole arrow deal more specific and relevant to this type of mafia by it being a bunch of arrows smuggled around or something, a network, a potential to make criminals even more dangerous, whatever.

Like it really doesn't need to be super fleshed out or anything, it can still be a monster of the week stylish adventure that doesn't take itself too seriously(which this part does and it hurts it even more) and have some more decent groundwork with the characters and setting that allows for various scenarios.

Attached: IMG_20190620_113203.jpg (691x719, 180K)

it already is

Not mainstream enough, not until Stephen Colbert bring the character as a main topic on his show.

I'm still surprised that Funny Valentine didn't become /pol/ official mascot.

Ok I'll admit that I forgot that, but their moral compass is still way off. Drugs destroy communities either way, you aren't that much better if you don't sell them to kids, not doing that just delays the social decay that drug trade brings with it. The usual racketeering, extortion, blackmail, arson, murder, robbery, sex trade, etc. is still going and ruining entire communities but I guess it's all good if you don't sell drugs to muh kids.

Unironically end the series after part 3. Part 4 can exist as final encore maybe.

>missing out on the best parts

>part 3
Man, if Jojo ended on the worst part that'd be a bummer.

I think Araki was projecting the social ills in Japan onto the situation in Italy. Which is embarrassing. Japan of the 90s did not import en masse clueless third-world women into sex trade as Italy did (and still does). There were no mafia-contracted executions of judges, journalists etc. Yakuza did their bad deeds behind closed doors, unlike the Italian mafia, which left a trail of stink (literally: reuters.com/article/us-italy-waste-mafia/naples-garbage-is-mafia-gold-idUSL0830577220080109) wherever they were.
So yeah. The worst crime Araki could come up with was 'muh selling drugs to children'.

When part 1 was on toonami everyine compared Dio to Trump which is just dumb and silly. Valentine to trump is alot more funny and makes akot more sense and doest feel as insulting. More tonge in check then the literal demon spawn of hell that is Dio.

Oh wow. Thanks to that link I found out that Passione is basically Sicilian Mafia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sicilian_Mafia
>Each family claims sovereignty over a territory, usually a town or village or a neighbourhood (borgata) of a larger city, in which it operates its rackets
>he Mafia's core activities are protection racketeering, the arbitration of disputes between criminals, and the organizing and oversight of illegal agreements and transactions. (Araki mentioned that Bruno's team protected businesses)

>When part 1 was on toonami everyine compared Dio to Trump
Good god I hate people that bring up politics in everything unrelated. Like with that new pokemon character Nessa. If you're an artist and draw her with a skin color that's a shade too light then you get called a white supremacist, even though it's fucking fanart.

>Drawn by japanese
>Get called white supremacist
I still don't understand their mind process.

make polnareff enter diavolo's body while diavolo stays in coco jumbo, the gang could probably torture him like they did with zucchero

I guess infinite death isn't harsh enough

Diavolo never dies though

Make King Crimson actually fight. Jesus fuck how do you write such an interesting stand and not make it fight
>Mystery of King Crimson
More of a Bruno curbstomp than a fight
>vs Metallica
Best p5 fight but KC basically didn't use it's power besides in the finale
>vs Polnareff
The only real fight KC has and it lasts half an episode
>final battle
yeah...

What the fuck Araki

>Fire Force for 4 courses, Ensemble Stars, Strike Witches, Spriggan & Cells At Work Season 2 in 2020/21

What the fuck are you doing, David Production, do you think we will unironically wait 'till fucking 2022 or so?

Keep seething, retard.

I never once said it makes it deep and interesting. I said that it seems clear that Araki himself wanted to tell this type of story, so he checked all the boxes necessary but still included an interesting main character that struggles and develops in a way that makes him more human and doesn't make him a Mary Sue - and that's Bruno. That's why I'm saying I like the way Part 5 is written, with Giorno's stale perfection serving its own purpose and Bruno being included as what many fans would consider the "real main character", preventing the story from being boring.

Not that user but yeah, it's quite embarrassing for him to project onto Italy like that, the mafia situation really isn't comparable to Japan at all. And his other inspiration was mainly some American movies. I remember being excited that part 5 was set in Naples which is a historically and culturally rich city all the various bad shit aside, but then came back down to earth when I remembered this is being written by your average Japanese manga author not well versed into these topics or culture, and especially in the 90ties. And it being a stylized caricature with whacky-looking characters and powers doesn't mean you cannot ground it more accurately. That can only enhance it. Heck I love whenever he pays mind to actual real locations etc. it creates this fun surreal stage for things to happen. Just wish he paid more consideration to that in other aspects. Especially since he seems to love the country. I'm sure he'd do a better job at it today.

Why doesn't jojo get flack for having dumb philosophical monologues that don't relate to a situation whatsoever?

I mean all things considered, he wasn't exactly bad at showing the culture either. Just very selective

DP, what the fuck are you doing?

Attached: 6456456.jpg (952x508, 52K)

>all those reused shots in the tv version
DP needs to learn to manage time

This is Part 7-related, but just imagine the Johnnys and Lucys from the alternate realities that Valentine went to trying to get rid of Act 4's Spin standing there dumbfounded like "what the fuck just happened?"

From their perspective they were fighting the President over some jewels or something equally pointless, then out of nowhere he just starts spinning randomly and falls into a hole in the ground and the problem's just fixed, for them it had to be anti-climactic as fuck

What if Jobin's real power is to create a portal to hell? And the heat he created is from creating just a small tiny rift, and he will bring the devil to the world and try to go after the saints corpse

Wow that's the stupidest theory so far

What do you think DP will do with the "fat Valentine suddenly becomes ripped chad" situation?
It wasn't even explained in manga, so most fans just guess that he swapped his body with D4C off screen.
Will DP simply leave it as it is or add new scene depicting body change?
Or worse, they consult with araki and he tells them: "uhhh yeah i just changed his design because why not lmao" so they change Valentine to be a chad right from the start like they did with Hazamada and Tamami becoming manlets.

Araki actually addressed that and said Valentine started working out. Maybe he'll start out as a fatty in the anime too.

Haven't watched it yet. Please don't spoiler me.

Definitely not bad, especially in the beginning chapters, but as it went along everything was kinda moved to the back to make way for a more typical shounen plot and characters.

>"head of a massive criminal empire
But Araki says the mafia is a good thing.

yeah, you will.

Huh really? That's nice i guess. But can you please provide source for this?
Also why didn't he just draw it in the manga? Like how hard is to add couple of panels depicting Valentine being "fuck i'mma tired of beaing a slob, gotta get them gains"

>They didn't care about selling drugs to adults.
Who's to say those drugs they put into circulation won't fall into the hands of random kids anyway

they'll just have valentine be lean from the start

Interviewer: I do really enjoy how the art throughout the “JoJo” series has constantly evolved.

Araki: Rather than trying to change, I try to avoid illustrating old, already existing art. However, I do realize there are characters like Hirose Koichi or Kobayashi Tamami whose heights have gradually shrunk and that’s not great.. haha

Interviewer: Like, Funny Valentine from part 7 was the opposite as he steadily grew.

Araki: Ha, That’s okay because he was working out! (lol) In reality, the characters constantly move through their lines and poses and they just happen naturally like the flow of nature.

Ppl actually watch JoJo for the plot?

Speedwatcher pls.
How could he keep a person under the floor alive when his Stand powers don't cover it?

Again, just because something is intentionally ''stale perfection'' or the type of story the author wanted does not make it necessarily good or well made. And Bruno hardly develops anyway, and is taken out of the picture solely so Giorno can now suddenly be granted leader position at the end despite not deserving it or having any valuable experience or leadership skills. He ends up being just a shallow gary-stu plot device of a character.

Araki forgot that people need to breathe and eat

Araki isn't that retarded.

The priest just found Diavolo's realdoll he hid away after getting a real girlfriend.

Go with Araki's original plan and Fugo betrays the gang instead of just disappearing.

Remove stands
Introduce ripple

>good or well made
I'm not claiming to have a total objective high ground. I'm just saying I subjectively "like" the part and find it "not boring", and plenty of people in the Jojo fandom agree. On some objective level it's not poorly made, but it's certainly not amazingly well made. I'm just being honest with my criticism and arguing against people that treat part 5 like its abysmal trash.

>Bruno hardly develops
(Subjectively) for me he develops enough to be engaging, but his development isn't uniformly distributed throughout the part, which weakens it. His developement really trickles down to the scenes where Giorno beats and recruits him, where Trish is first abducted by the boss, the flashback sequence detailing his life, and ultimately the revelation that he is happy to die for his cause. Again, nothing stunning, but certainly not what I'd describe as "barely developing". There's enough to say about Bruno to describe him as a likable MC.

>Giorno can now suddenly be granted leader position
I agree he doesn't deserve to be the leader, especially with how the entire gang slowly starts recognizing that "at times Giorno seems more of my Capo than Bruno" for no real reason than winning their fights, but ultimately that comes down to Giorno's Jesus metaphor again. It's not deserved and boringly written, but I'm not surprised he ends up on top, and accept it for what it is.

>He ends up being just a shallow gary-stu plot device of a character.
Gary-Stu, yes. Shallow, no. I think there is something to appreciate in Araki's attempt to implement his religious symbolism, but that doesn't necessarily make him likable or well written. I simply think it's neat the way he turned out and am happy Araki was aware enough to include Bruno in an attempt to add something resembling a traditional (Non Gary-Stu) main character.

God no, if there's one single intelligent decision Araki has made for this part that is not going down that route. It's a stupid cliche and it makes absolutely no sense for Fugo to betray his gang.

Ripple/Hamon is boring and lame.
Jojo was mediocre till part 4

>hates hamon but favorite part is based almost entirely on not-hamon (spin)
?????

>7
>based almost entirely on not-hamon
It was important, but not as important as stands
And spin is not as lame as hamon

>Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan isn't canon
It was written by Araki and doesn’t conflict with canon in any way.

He didn't ''betray'' anyone, he just abstained. And Bruno respected his decision. I don't like how the his character was handled overall, as well as the rest of the team in the second half particularly, but the backstabber route would still not make any sense for his character.

TFW we'll never get Fugo vs Ciacolotta

so, Doggystyle is just the same as the Jolyne Kujo stand

does rai have a punchghost though?

what the fuck was mista trying to accomplish in that gif?

He has a ghost, but it has no arms.

Searching for hidden compartments?

checking to see if secco was still around using oasis to liquefy the area.

He should still be that age too and Araki shouldn't have 100% dropped hamon from the story.

Listen, I want to make it clear that despite all my gripes I do like alot of the ideas with this part, and that is why I find it especially frustrating. I'm not here to deliberately treat VA as trash for no good reason.
I like the idea of alot of the characters, and Bruno did end up being my favourite, he is the most engaging character of the part, however I still think he was handled poorer and poorer as it went on, like the other things. To me everything starts to nosedive considerably after the train arc to the very end. I fully understand what Araki was going for and I still strongly disagree with it in the context of the premise and its characters. For what reason did Giorno need to become some sort of pseudo-Jesus metaphor in this mafia related story? It's kinda embarrassing. Especially after being introduced as a much different character which was far more engaging. And it's still not a good Jesus metaphor. Jesus' character was all about his relation to his mortality and sacrifice for the others. Giorno has none of that, he's just suddenly a divine being for no good reason. You cannot say something is ''a metaphor'' and that just takes care of itself. Religious symbolism for the sake of religious symbolism is just an attempt to make something seem more significant than it actually is. It's pretentious.

How long will we be waiting for Part 6 bros?

DP has a lot on their plate for the near future so the wait may be the same as part 5s

At least 2 years

It's cool as fuck that he just uses it to quickly assassinate people and get the fuck out. He wants to stay hidden, and it leads to his stand seeming even more terrifying.

More gay shit.

He’s so cute, I want to make him cry

Why did Araki write out Fugo for no reason?

Attached: 1514482667171.png (275x264, 147K)

He decided against making him a villain and then never gave him a new role.

Never actually reveal what Diavolo looks like. Just have him emote through king crimson for the whole part

>There was one part in this fifth series I absolutely had to delete though. An episode I couldn't write at all. In my head the story went that between Mista, Narancia, Fugo and Abbacchio would be a spy working for the boss and betrayed Giorno and Buccellati. At first I had decided this traitor to be Fugo, but I couldn't do it.
>My state of mind was so dark that the stories I wrote were becoming more and more evil, but in my heart I was starting to hate this behavior as time passed. Also, my heart broke just thinking about how Buccellati would feel. I absolutely can't understand betrayal from a trusted friend and this is why just thinking about it physically hurt me. I would have accepted any criticism saying that I "hadn't had the guts to do it" as an author, but I assure you I couldn't write that episode no matter what.
>Maybe Giorno would have had to kill Fugo then and I'm sure this would have given a really bad impression to my youngest readers.

>And spin is not as lame as hamon
Spin is worse because it's less a power system and more something that can do whatever Araki wants it to do at any point in the story. It has no limits at all, especially when paired with Tusk.

So is Tsurugi just Doppio 2.0 now and did Ojirou get buffed (not just physically but stand-wise too)? Man, what the fuck even is part 8 now. Atleast he's referencing the begining of the part now.

As far as we know Fun Fun Fun works exactly the same. Ojiro even climbed up onto the roof last chapter.

How much is an Illuso if I bought him off of Squadra?

To each their own. But since I know we disagree, I do want your opinion on one thing:

>all about his relation to his mortality and sacrifice for the others. Giorno has none of that, he's just suddenly a divine being for no good reason
Would Giorno be a lot more tolerable of a character for you if he made like his daddies and died in the end, and then would the metaphor be more excusable? I don't think it's a well-written metaphor either. This type of metaphor is played to death, but I at least appreciate Araki's attempt at writing something with more than just a face-value, and since I'm convinced Araki was dead set on the writing the religious metaphor for the Part 5, as pretentious as it may or may not be, I don't think there's any way to "fix" part 5 by removing a Giorno. His Gary Stu character was inevitable.

But did he change? Since Tsurugi is getting Paper Moon King Crimson, Fun Fun Fun could become something else too

The monologue about Tsurugi implying his stand is changing was talking about strong changes in feelings or something I think (not to mention the stone illness that's starting to affect Tsurugi). Ojiro hasn't been shown to really have those. Sure, he got tanned and maybe started working out but I don't think stand changes are going to be something that happens to everyone. And as far as we've seen in the last chapter Ojiro still needs to be above his victims and it works the same as when Josuke fought him.

Remove Fugo entirely
Add more developpement to Trish (ie she gets more than 1 episode of developpement)
Keep the gangsta-ish tone of the beginning (Giorno scamming Koichi, Polpo, the torture dance scene)

wat, n-no

Araki likes the stoic, idealist kind of hero. He specifically mentions Clint Eastwood in the good the bad and the ugly as a major influence on his concept of a heroic protagonist. The villains need to be charismatic, there needs to be something that makes us feel ambiguous about them instead of straight up resenting them

So, out of all the rock humans, are there any that could be considered alternate universe equivalents to Kars, Whammu, and Eisidisi?

The boss definitely makes me feel something in my pants.

>Would Giorno be a lot more tolerable of a character for you if he made like his daddies and died in the end, and then would the metaphor be more excusable?
Well that would only make that particular metaphor actually work as a metaphor. By more directly relating these actions. Have this stand-in for a divine figure inspire these other downtrodden characters and in his ultimate sacrifice his persistence and will is taken to heart by the others to keep going and fulfil his dream. In that scenario I feel it would be more consistent. But I think the whole religious metaphor is simply not needed in the first place, even if that's what Araki ultimately ended up writing. And besides, even having some of it there doesn't necessarily mean someone needs to become Jesus-kun, that isn't the only way to relate these things. You can have themes of sinners being absolved of their sins through their actions etc etc. It really doesn't matter if it's ''religious'' or not. That should not automatically make something more relevant just because it's exotic to Araki.

For this part you can have premise of characters being trapped inside a criminal system as a result of bad circumstances and their actions (some more responsible for it than others) and then this group of underdogs band together in an effort to dismantle if from within for the greater good, maybe Giorno taking the directive or perhaps him playing a proper support role by getting Bruno to the top because he's more appropriate for it and Giorno grows to respect that and not be selfish or something. The whole destiny, fate, messiah theme just falls apart for me because if everything is already predetermined, characters are just following through like robots and their inner conflicts do not matter ultimately. And it's also just weird for something overall regarding the mafia, like don't romanticise that. The motivations of the characters in the story as it currently is are very hypocritical in that sense.
