Most of these anime experts who think the ending was a deus ex machina evidently just marathoned the show and rushed to the final episode just to shit on something their brains couldn't digest. Part of what made this show so rich was finding all the little details that were left on the show, such as the labcoat on ep 6 or how Ryoku was watching the fight inside against the nushi that killed her on ep 4.

It was great, it's a shame there isn't much to discuss anymore aside from fanworks though since everything was analyzed and discussed to death already. Hopefully we'll get a short or second season eventually and then threads can come back for just a little bit.

Nah, I originally expected a bare minimum of 10000 units sold for the Kemurikusa volumes when taking the 5000 units sold by the Keifuku-san DVD as reference, so they getting over 15000 is somethin pretty nice.
Besides, they did only ship around 5000 units on the first week amidst severe stock shortages and they celebrated when they broke the 10000 mark on the second week, so it seems Kemurikusa has already fulfilled it's original sales forecast.

You need to wait until July 26th to get the third Blu-ray volume, but yeah, the wait is painful, although we should get the cover and the details of the extras of the third volume at the latest the next week.

I sencirely do not expect a second season, but it will not consider it as something conpletely debunked until either Fukuhara or Tatsuki says "no second season" or at least until the Comiket is over.

Yeah. It would be a little difficult to make a new story with Kemurikusa I think, so at most I'm just hoping for something to show that the crew is fine and the sisters are enjoying Earth

The Kemurikusa Music Collection Album will be released on August 21th as a two disc album at a price of 3780 yen.
The highlights are:
-All the BGM already present on the show, plus unused BGM
-A lot of versions of the ending song INDETERMINATE UNIVERSE, basically you have: the episode 12 version, Rin solo version, Ritsu solo version, Rina solo version and the three dead sisters (Ryou, Riku, Ryouku) version.
There is a limited bromide print if you buy that album on certain stores like Amazon Japan.

That is the problem, from a business viewpoint it would make sense to make a new season as soon as possible thanks to the huge sales, but then we need to have in mind that the creative mastermind here is Tatsuki and that him as a creator may think the work is done and that a second season may be unnecessary from a creative and narrative viewpoint, even to the point of risking to damage the things build until then only for the purpose of milking the series and its fans even further.
Still, if they greenlight a second season then I think it would be about the Dead Sisters, Riri and Doc Wakaba cheating the printer so they get "resurrected" and then reuniting with the Rin party

I'm not sure if escaping the printer would have enough content for a second season though, if there were one.

We currently have one party on the buffer of the printer with Doc Wakaba, Ryou, Riku and Ryouku as the members of that party. Also, we do not know for certain if Rinako and Rinazou are on the buffer of the printer, but having in mind what happened with the sisters of the Doc Wakaba party, then I would suppose that the Dead Rinas are like a second party present on the buffer. Then there is the matter if Riri is on the buffer, but I think we could count her as already there.
Now with all those things on mind then a second season could be at first about the two parties on the buffer and their meeting at a later episode, then the new united buffer party would seek Riri and when they find her then Doc Wakaba should find a way to cheat the printer. After they cheat the printer then they should escape the ship to met the Rin party and the last episode would be about the ship buffer party and Rin party meeting at last, so all the characters get an happy end.

Maybe some sort of problems could arise with the ship failing and the printer system potentially malfunctioning because of that? It could also be hard to recreate Riri since she didn't quite die like the others, so some episodes could be spent on that and learning how Kemurikusa functions a bit more to see if they can recover her. I can't see much actual conflict happening, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I wonder if the dead Rinas and Riri actually can come back, since their lives were more closely tied to the splitting shenanigans than the dead sisters. It's entirely possible the recovery data for Riri used to make the original is gone too assuming the things stored in the printer are "used" instead of simply being copied and pasted. Even if we only get to see the living crew in shorts I'd love to see more about their world and the way the leaf tech works

Yes, you could say that is the most expensive anime on sale, basically you are paying 3400 yen for 5 minutes and 36 seconds of anime, so that is like 607 yen for each minute or like buying a manga volume for each minute of that short.
Thankfully Hentatsu is two times longer, so the price for minute is the half of Keifuku-san

Yes, that is the problem, you have Ryou, Ryouku and Riku both being created and dying exactly on the same way, but then you have Rinako and Rinazou coming from the original Rina when she divided herself with Momo or the thing about Riri dividing herself and if that is enough to send her to the buffer.
So maybe you could have some extra content on the story like Doc Wakaba trying to recreate Riri using something like the memory leaf of Rin and the printer.

Well, if they think there is not enough material to fill a whole season then they could release an OVA or even a short movie and that would be enough to get the fans pretty hyped and happy. And even if we do not get a new season or an OVA or a short movie, there is still the irodori shorts that are not so risky from a creative or economical point, so it is not like they are out of options if they want to tell more things about Kemorukisa, the question is they want to do it and what option to choose.

It's pretty ok, besides the interesting way of storytelling it doesn't have anything interesting worth to mention, and the storytelling gets old pretty fast, I would had liked it more if it weren't for the reused footage but yeah, once you get to episode 2 you basically have already watched the whole thing, is not a bad show, but it isn't anything special, unless you are really new to anime, then I could understand you being that much surprised by the whole thing.
