These don't have anything to do with Guts, they're both talking about Griffith. The Hawk of Darkness prophecy is the true prophecy, a warning left unheeded by all except those who already knew, and the Hawk of Light prophecy is one Griffith created to unite the people of Midland into accepting his rule as a messiah and king in the face of Ganiksha's terror. It's a "false prophecy", in that it masked and disguised the true prophecy from being considered, and was planted in the eyes of the Holy See instead of divined.
