Do people really not have their media player set to do Japanese by default? Sometimes sub tracks are mislabeled and that's annoying but I don't think I've ever seen an audio track mislabeled that would cause this issue.

I actually downloaded something (I think it was Gundam F91) that had both a 1080p video track but also a 720p one. And the 720p one was default. Didn't realize it until I had already finished the movie. I think that's the only thing I've ever downloaded that had more than one video track.

I'm pretty sure they were the same (not that I checked, as soon as I realized it I went and removed the 720p version), just different resolutions. No idea why anyone would do that.

I think it's how the soviets dubbed all movies. They think this is the proper way, and they care a lot about which robotic voice does the reading.

I don't have time to watch one show multiple times, and most certainly not dubbed either. I'll watch a show once and only once, and then move on; I have no time to bother with arguments over dub quality (which is always bad anyway) or different experiences or whatever when there are still more shows left to watch.

It's the superior form of dubbing, since you still hear the original voice. Literally the dub equivalent of having a foreigner doing a speech with an interpretor translating live for the audience.

They're not grainy. The word you're looking for is low resolution and aliasing.

Being helpful or answering questions does not equal spoonfeeding. It's spoon feeding when you help someone who's acting like an entitled idiot.

It wouldn't be a problem if they didn't always set the english dub as default, and if it wasn't so hard to change that.
