The whole "it could have been me" dynamic he has with Naruto is fine, but hearing them call each other best friends makes very little sense. Basically he needed more actual characterization and less angst.

I can't say much for the story, but the action scenes in the Storm games are superb and I wish the anime had them. The thing that fucks me up the most about that Karin situation is that, later in the War Arc, Karin learns how to heal herself. And if I remember correctly, they had established beforehand that she couldn't do that when she was first introduced. So her getting stabbed by Sasuke would have been a non-issue had she learned to heal herself sooner.

Personally, I think that Susano'o, at least till Fleshed stage (not the armoured with Enton Magatama or the Totsuka/Yata combo) with some nerfs would be easier to make work in lowered power levels version of the series than the Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, which both needs complete overhaul, as they are pretty much jutsu without weakness, despite Itachi being the one who spouts the most about how every jutsu has a weakness.

Everything in the series were actually scaled to Itachi. Upper power levels spiked whenever Itachi appeared, not when Naruto became stronger.
