I love both Clannad and Toradora for different reasons.
Toradora is simpler, and "younger" both in terms of the age of its protagonists and in the depth of its story. But sometimes simplicity is good.
Clannad feels more expansive. It has double the runtime, it follows its characters into an age range not typically seen at the time, and involves deeper dramatic content.
Both have their place.

I don't understand the appeal in lolis as love interest. I also don't understand how so many people love Lolis when I only found one likable in all of anime, that's snail. Sorry but I highly dislike toradora, I wish I could See the appeal in Toradora as a romance but it was a very disappointing top rated romance like Clannad, Anohana. I tend to prefer the characters personalities more than the looks but what makes Taiga great?or should I say what fetish enables you to like Taiga?
