So is the anime really that bad? As an animeonly I think it's alright, although I can tell they are streamlining the story.

When does Kanna display any superhuman physical abilities in the VN? Also, Eriko never struggled with climbing the wall. The reason she was stuck the one time is because her miniskirt got stuck when she was climbing back down out of Ryuzouji's bungalow.

The VN makes it apparent that Eriko's doing stuff behind the scenes, knows more than she's letting on, and is looking into Ryuuzouji specifically. Since the way the VN does this is hard to communicate in anime format (e.g. showing the same events over and over again), the anime presumably just decided to show that she isn't just a school nurse with a bohemian attitude and ridiculous fashion sense by showing that she's a ninja.

Believe it or not, the real story hasn't even started yet.

The anime is not bad. One of the things it actually does better is cutting a lot of the repetitiveness and making Takuya less of a moron by letting the routes he has already done reflect what he knows when he begins a new route.
