The manga had decent character designs which this does away with, but it also removes some of the really dumb shit. The love interest dying arc was handled very well, you can pretty much drop it after that.

Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok. OP and ED were awesome. Show is basically Norse gods trying to destroy Loki with Saturday morning cartoon plots, including evil video game machines, evil buddha, and evil girls in tiny skirts. Freya alternates between being a yandere loli and a busty blonde shotacon. I remember reading abridged series of the anime back when people still did them with jpgs and written commentary.

The blonde becomes an important character later on, the MC of Black Cat shows up and is even an enemy for a little while and I think Lala's mom was based on a character from that series too.
Tearju (she is a recurring character in the second part of the manga), Train (named Kuro in this universe, only cameos) and Sephiria (named Sephie, she is Lala's mom).
Kyouko (the idol) is also based on a character from Black Cat and Yami is Eve (duh).

The animation looks like shit today, Himeko is a fucking retard and the forced drama is bullshit, but that confession gets me every single time.
One piece,definitely is that for me.
