>temporarily loses arms while wind blows
>monologues something about friendship
>wins fight
This is stronger than Bao Zakeruga
Temporarily loses arms while wind blows
meh
Gash Bell is a forgotten fucking masterpiece and I will hear no slight against it.
Me and my boyo still regularly play and purchase packs for the card game that's been discontinued for like 15 fucking years
why does the nigga on the right look like a puppet
>Me and my boyo still regularly play and purchase packs for the card game that's been discontinued for like 15 fucking years
Literally how and where? I remember the last card I pulled out of value was Zophise and that was over a decade ago.
It's a demon thing, you wouldn't understand.
I like it though.
Many mamodo have lines/markings under their eyes or somewhere else on their faces. I thought he was a puppet when I was a kid, too
We purchase packs from Ebay and Amazon every once in a while. The entire collection is available to buy individually for pretty cheap on stop2shop but we find it more fun to have a pile of useless cards
>No Clear Note
Really makes you think
He is there, he got turned into that fucked up thing.
"Just kill me"
He's unironically happier being like that and not just because it turned him into a retard.
Gash is a forgiving cuck that faggot was gonna 404 the mamodo world and he lets him exist after beating him.
I'm not a big fan of the trope where the villain gets turned into a weaker entity after getting defeated but he wanted to kill everyone and everything including himself so I'm OK with this
I remember when this series pulled off a character other than gash defeating the final boss from the arc because they were too busy fighting enemy fodder, it was pretty unexpected and cool
Is this the show where they make kids fight to the death? Like, I remember them doing shit like electrocuting the shit out of each other.
There were two giant fucking dragon?! How did they not win?!
I never forgot. I still have fond memories of following the final arc of the manga as it got translated not too long after the anime went off air.
Clear Chad dusted Ashuron and the other dragon idk.
Just realized Sherry/Koko/Apollo/Ponygon's master/Dufort are white
One of them made it to the Top 10, but the final boss had too much bullshit up his sleeves for him to beat.
Ill never forget Gash jobbing to the Star Mamodo.
Is the anime worth watching over the manga? reading it feels like I'm doing the 10 liters of hot blood a minute a disservice
The series got away with a lot of power of friendship antics, but it was one of those few shonen manga where it didn't bother me much for some reason.
>Animal Land will never get an anime
Feels bad Man
The anime is complete dog shit, but if you like that sort of thing I guess it's alright. The VA cast is unusually top tier for what it was. Even during the first couple of episodes it suffers severely from recycled animation despite the fact Toei is known to do this sort of shit it's especially bad in this show.
I also want to know this. Cause I don't think paper and ink can do Parco Folgore justice.
Toei never finished adapting it and I think they did an anime original ending to compensate for it. The VERY MELON song is definitely worth checking out though.
The conclusion to Folgore and Kanchome's character arcs were fucking fantastic and only covered in the manga. The only thing you should be worried about is the scan quality because it was really shoddy at times.
It edits out lots of shit in the Faudo arc lije a fight between Zeon and that oneesan crystal mamado standing behind Ted the pompadour blonde mamado in pic related
it's not like he wanted to. it's more like the demon god took over his body to create the perfect villain for a good king to defeat since the last demon battle gave birth to the nuclear-like power of Bao Zakeruga.
Gash Bell knew exactly what it fucking was and it didn't give a single shit about it. I liked this series because it didn't shy away from the tropes shounen is known for and instead completely embraced everything while providing children a role model they can look up to (remember Gash was prepared to give himself up during the Faudo arc and completely entrusted the safety of Japan to Barry because he saw no other alternative).
and I know Japan is known to respect their audience, but I also liked that Gash Bell dealt with a lot of things that would be deemed not friendly towards a child audience. Shit like poverty, discrimination, and family abuse are explored and dealt with in a way that kids can relate with and find themselves rooting for those characters.
Also, I really like the way the author dealt with shounen asspull power-ups in this story. I know Yea Forums likes to poke fun at BNHA's recent SEVEN QUIRKS bullshit for the main character that came out of nowhere. The author for Gash clearly lays the groundwork for powerups very early on in the story, it was pretty much expected that these characters would be getting powerups as they go along. I'm also a fan that these powerups are more like a physical representation of the character growing as a mature individual rather than anything else.
>Toei
>recycled animation
>original ending
Every fucking time
Gash is a jobbing faggot until he nearly dies to Zeon and then he only beats Hax Note due to muh golden spellbook.
The characters in the spellbooks have no phonetic consistency meaning mamados use a logoalphabetical written language or a pattern of symbols meaning a concept
>The characters in the spellbooks have no phonetic consistency meaning mamados use a logoalphabetical written language or a pattern of symbols meaning a concept
Didn't the author actually have an in-depth language for the spells? a lot of them shared syntax like Dioga- and shin- and I'm pretty sure some demons actually had the same exact spell as well (it had something to do with drills and it was during the millenium demon arc)
I think you nailed it. It was made very clear from the start that friendship and personal growth meant unlocking more power. The character development and bonds that were forged throughout the story felt genuine, so the powerups always came off as well deserved every time.
Plus the spells always looked really damn cool too.
My bad I meant written consistency. The soundfor the spells have no character consistency. Dioga Teo Ganzu Raja
You realize how painful Bragos spells are now that you understand gravity. Ion Gravirei pancakes your ass and Dioga Gravidon is basically a mini black hole.
>Zatch Bell thread on Yea Forums
Goddamn yes. Zatch Bell is exactly what this
poster says.
I tried looking for the guide and found this instead. The loop is both nostalgic and obnoxious.

Blast from the fucking past right there. I'm glad toonami picked up the dub for this, or I wouldn't have such great proof of kid me having fantastic taste in shonen
Look at this dude forgetting the GROOOOVY Sunbeam.
BOING BOING
I really hated the show at first because of that Jimmy Neutron voice, but it grew on me eventually.
The other dragon jobbed to Barry, but it was damn cool and it helped in his character development and setting, so it's OK
Isn't this just basically anime Highlander?
It’s what Shokugeki no Soma could’ve been if the author cared about the side characters
>look up clips on youtube because of this thread
>end up crying
even if the anime was shit it did some characters a lot of justice
All of the characters in this series were so damn cool. Even joke characters and random mooks had great backstories and motivations. It managed to make you sympathize with a complete bitch character like Mir, it made the goof Folgore the coolest motherfucker in the series, even the black nun lady got a touching backstory.
It really is a damn shame that the anime started diverging just when we were getting to the biggest tearjerkers in the manga. I can only imagine the waterworks from an animated hippo scene
>i can remember pattie's song like 15 fucking years later
what the hell
This guy sounded too much like Jimmy Neutron for me
Suzume,Megumi or Sherry?
Megumi is absolute top tier
CHICHI CHICHI OPPAI
BOING BOING
youtu.be
I miss fish racism. Maybe I should give it a reread
Moge moge chichi o moge
At least it got a sequel recently...
Good, anime adaptations are shit.
is this actually good? been thinking of reading it
better than dr.stone
You have no soul if this song made you feel nothing. Even if its from the dub.

The story took like 100 chapters to thicken, and yet it was still very enjoyable to read.
Suzume was always my favourite. Sherry is great too. Megumi I just couldn't get invested in, she's boring to me.
Suzume is for Kiyo, for sure though. That scene late in the manga where she asks if he's going to go away again broke my heart.
what has the author been up to lately
Damn, I thought I could find my favourite, but it's not there.
Gash&Kiyo actually jobbed a lot. Even in the beginning they almost lost against a random stone snake guy and a nigger with a panther.
He buys/posts about motorcycles on twitter.
>Sherry
Most definitely had black demon cock
>Megumi
Most definitely had producer's cock
>Suzume
Most definitely the purest and best girl
Who will be queen in the sequel?
>Tio
>Kororu
>Sherry
Also, the browser game is pretty fun. The author posts a lot about it on his Twitter.
The flashback where Koko rescues Sherry from suicide made me cry even back then.
>tfw vector ball cancelled because of writer block
i would've accepted some more chapters of dada nonsense
What are the chances of it getting a remake?
