At first it seems to be less power wanky than your average isekai series by virtue of the MC not having any strong magic or being good at combat and specializing in alchemy and mind surgey shit but eventually it becomes worse than most isekai series.
I don't think I can explain it properly but I'll try by telling you what would happen if you tried to kill MC.
First, you would need to keep your intentions to yourself and/or be as secretive as possible. If the MC even catches a rumor of you not liking him, he'll meet with you, drug you with some perfume shit he has so you can't oppose him, have his underlings carry you to some underground lab and lobotomize you so you are mentally incapable of doing anything against him or even thinking he is a dick depending on how hard he brainwashes you.
Assuming you manage to keep your plans in secret and attack him, you would have to fend off the team of bodyguards that he has near him nearly all the time. These bodyguards not only have been brainwashed to be absolutely loyal to him but he has thinkered their bodies so they are all superhuman, not to mention some of them already had battle experience. They also have great equipment.
Assuming you somehow fend off the team of superhumans, you would come face to face with MC, who, while lacking any fighting skills whatsoever, conveniently has a friend who made him a shitton of easily replaceable clothes that allow him to tank any magical or physical attack with ease and kick your ass before the enchanments wear off.
If you do manage to do all of that, you might be able to kill him, assuming he doesn't have any other tricks hidden I'm not aware of.
This is how bullshit the MC is. Attacking him up-front is akin to suicide due to his bullshit bodyguards and bullshit equipment and trying to plot to fuck him over is extremely risky because he brainwashes everyone around him the moment he thinks they might cause him trouble. Same with his bodyguards.
