>wins the heart of a badass elf captain
Why is /ourboy/ so lucky?
Dungeon Meshi
>Marcille has been the source of comedy for the longest time, mainly due to aversion to weird food
>Eventually starts to be accepting of cooked monsters and whatnot (last time she freaked out was Barometz?)
>Cat joins, new to all this dungeon food, doesn't like veggies to boot
>Marcille still manages to be the source of comedy
I think Kui just loves to make fun of her that much, and I wouldn't change it for the world
This was a little incorrect.
I would hit it either way. Kuudere elves are the best.
Is Brown Elf the most "classically beautiful" Elf in Dungeon Meshi?
>Sharp pointed facial features
>tall and graceful
>slender yet has a nice rack
Compared to her Marcille is positively homely
Bros I want an elf wife
You really thought Sishys was pure?
The shapeshifting guy is the most beautiful tbhq
I wonder if the fairys are their own race or if they're just familiars/creatures made through magic?
Cabron is dead, man.
even elf senshi looked feminine
I just noticed that we haven't seen an old Elf yet, despite them not being immortal (they only live up to 500 years or so, Thistle being the obvious exception)
> falling with someone who can teleport through the ground
sure.
From left to right
>Otta
>Misurn
>Sishys
>????
>????
>Pattdohl
did we ever get the names for the cheeky one and the shapeshifter?
I think everyone gets their goofs in. Chilchack is a deadbeat dad that everyone treats like a grade schooler, Laius is an absolute weirdo with a heart of gold and a weird fetish, and Senshi is a hobo that washes his beard sometimes, maybe.
Not yet.
chu!
wew
Cute!
what if the author is really just a hard core fujoshi?
Of course she is female, why else would she be paralyzed when Kabro grab her chest? She could have teleported the shit out of him
How is this?
Pointed ears seem like Marcelle's one definition of beautiful elf.
Good job!
Given the nature of a lot of creatures, I could see kind of both. They're probably naturally occuring demi-humans based around mana pools but they can be artificially made probably.
They're definitely not regarded as a sapient being though, given how this one seems to be treated like some pet.
best party ever
We know their abilities at least
>Otta - Earth magic, walls and platforms
>Misurn - Teleportation
>Sishys - Mentioned that she can burn stuff, offensive magic
>Shapeshifter - Melee damage
>Beastmaster - Summons bird
>Pattdohl - Barrier, support role
are those all "dark arts"?
a few of those don't sound so forbidden to me
we don't know what ancient magic they're convicted of, could be completely separate from their combat skills. Marcille's "crime" was resurrection after all, not her combat spells.
>the filename
My favorite
Marcille's dark magic was pulling energy from another dimension, but the end result was just resurrection magic. Fire and earth magic are allowed, but they might do it in an abnormal way.
Marcille is the party's straight man. It's a role that's made to be bullied by the author.
Also, I want to grate cheese on oni Marcille's abs
So are the captain and Thistle confirmed male? Because the official release has Thistle as female.
She’s probably into gay stuff in general
Captain for sure, Thistle 80%
looks artificial to me, Pattdohl literally turned it into a staff and back
In the scanlation, Marcille refered to Thistle as a "he". I'll trust that given that they're both elves, so she should know.
Why can’t translators into using non-gendered pronouns when necessary
Can I have the chapter number? So I can check the raws.
end of chapter 41, Yamanba
Since the eye thing nerfs captain so hard, do you think it's a possible punishment/limiter for learning teleportation magic?
It wasn't all necessarily dark arts as it is 'forbidden magic' that some CALL dark arts.
As it is, I imagine whats forbidden covers a fair few specialisations of magic, and isn't just restricted to the blood mage resurrection shit we saw with Marcille.
As for WHY stuff like this is forbidden, who knows, we'll just have to wait and see, I guess a lot of this magic is just dangerous to the point it has to be restricted, or perhaps there are consequences to using it that we don't see yet.
The official release has some tidbits that aren't necessarily faithful to the jap version.
As for the captain, absolutely a male, he has basically the exact same body type as the other male in the group, and you can clearly see in general that he has a male torso. Kui is accurate enough with her anatomy that it isn't even really a question.
A salad by the end of the series, I guarantee it.
Potentially, I can't exactly imagine why he would go and learn a power like that if his eye was always bad. Though that being said, its hard to know whether his sense of direction was always shitty too.
Maybe he's just an idiot and thought to learn teleportation magic anyway despite his condition.
or maybe learning teleportation magic rewires your brain and fucks up your spatial awareness
>elfjew
lost it
Thank you.
Here's the raw panel. She does use 彼 (he) to refer to the dungeon master.
So Thistle is a male.
while we're on the topic, what about Otta? Small enough to be female, with the eyelashes, but absolute stick otherwise. Much more confusing than Thistle or Captain. Choice of attire in this sketch doesn't help.
That's definitely a possibility, like if you fuck up at any point learning it/practising it you basically just get your brain fucked over
Considering the eye itself doesn't look damaged I guess that might be the cause if it was intentionally done to him, too, pretty much looks like he had a magical stroke or something, I wonder if that's also a power that you can curse people with.
Going by how accurate the male/female cuts and styles are in this picture, I'd guess for male since the zipper is on the right?
That being said, it's harder to tell than with Misurn/Wolfman, since Otta has a much more child-like body, guess we'll just have to wait and see.
So if the elf herself mentioned it then it is confirmed.
AAAAAA I WANNA RUFFLE FARLIN'S SHOULDER FEATHERS
Calm down Laius
Easy there Marcille
I'd just like to say captain's teleporting combat panels are probably the best action sequences in the manga. Kui is becoming really good at this. I wouldn't mind a short spinoff.
I'd honestly be okay with leaving behind Laius's group for maybe a chapter or two more to see Misurn/Kabru dungeoning together trying to track down Thistle.
teleporting is too op
>lol i teleported ur heart into a wall
Thats why it works so well with Misurn's shitty sense of direction, its a fantastic combination from a writing POV because it gives that OP ass magic a weakness, and makes it so that disabling someone instantly by taking out the brain/organs isn't something he can easily do.
Even though Misurn's still pretty strong regardless, it's a nice counterbalance to give enemies an actual chance and to make combat more interesting.
Besides, it seems like the canaries goal isn't to outright kill Thistle, so hes going to probably have to take different actions during a fight on the lower levels ((where Thistle has more magic)) in order to beat him anyway.
>it's ok because she has a bad sense of direction
>is literally capable of effortlessly disabling the mad sorcerer's limbs by teleporting out chunks of flesh
your apologetics mean nothing to me
teleporting is too op
same desu, it's the hot story thread right now, and as much as i like the gang it would be a waste to kinda kill that momentum by not following it
It's a good thing it's attached to a half blind, directionally retarded elf that also can't operate at range.
>half blind elf can still use it effectively
>disables an entire room of thugs effortlessly
>same ability could literally be used by anyone once they find out about it
your argument holds no weight
teleporting it too op
Fluffy hair elf best girl
Because he was stuck on the first layer where he was extremely weak due to low magic density, on lower levels he's a way bigger threat magically, not to forget that he's got familiar monsters and Farlyn ((who is also stronger at lower levels))
The first layer was the only time where taking out Thistle would have been easy for basically anyone, all he could do was run away no matter who the opponent was.
It's "supposed" to be OP, the story is transitioning to put the elf strike team as the antagonists. It's also fantastic world building; magic is scary and gory as fuck if you're a complete ruthless bastard.
Yeah, just anybody can teleport everything everywhere. The canaries aren't a bunch of explicitly specialist rare magic users.
> Same ability could literally be used by anyone once they find out about it
You literally have no way of knowing that, what if it takes years of training? What if it's forbidden knowledge ((most likely)) and any books/artefacts that teach it are hidden away?
>same ability could literally be used by anyone once they find out about it
Nah
Elfs have way more mana than the other races
But then who would cook monsters
> disables an entire room of thugs effortlessly
wow a bunch of random non-magic jobber thugs couldn't beat this elite specialist elf, what a surprise.
Isn't Misurn a dude?
> Kabru and Misurn get thrown down several levels with no supplies
> Kabru is forced to copy Laius and his monster eating antics in order to survive
don't we all?
yes
Are you trying to make a point
I hope Farlyn gets to keep the feathers after she gets de-dragoned. Those are perfect.
>in the end, Laius' image of Kabru as a guy interested in eating monsters is validated and he's completely unaware of the hardships Kabru had to endure
That'd be so in character with Laius, I love it
I hope she even gets de-dragoned at all.
What was the deal with Kabrun and Captain and the big hole? It kind of looked like Kabrun grabbed him and fell on purpose. Were they taking the express elevator down?
So... changeling mushrooms are pretty much problem solvers for stagnating marriages right?
I don't know how the author did it, but marcille's frame is fucking perfect. It doesn't show her face at all but you can just IMAGINE the pissed look on her face.
because they're grating and unnatural and ruin the flow even if technically accurate. Avoiding pronouns altogether is the best way.
I mean yeah, I'm sure he figured that if he let go he was definitely going to either get incinerated or teleported into a wall, so he chose to fall while taking Misurn with him so that he can still survive, since Misurn can teleport them through floors/debris.
Plus it breaks up the Canaries, so Laius has more time to get to Thistle/conquer the dungeon.
it helps that everyone except her changed to dwarf height or shorter, even Izutsumi (I thought Orcs are supposed to be normal/tall)
God Izutsumi looks like a plushie, it's so cute.
Why can't translators just translate "Kare" to "He"?
I guess Izutsumi's cat genes will always make her smaller than normal.
Orcs might take longer to mature so she's a juvenile in Orc years. You usually son't think of the warlike races taking a long time to mature though.
also Marcille thinking an elf is a boy only communicates that she thinks it's a boy
Still, if Marcille can make that assumption even though the DM's body is all robed up then I'd be at least slightly more inclined to take her word for it.
but she is a baka
>her face when the robe goes off and thistle has enormous shortstack boobs
Could be, though who knows, maybe Thistle has a really obvious male voice and we just don't get to hear it.
As it is, all elf faces are very feminine, even Misurns/wolfmans, so I guess elves are just more likely to be able to tell the difference between genders with each other than other races normally would.
They probably just have more confusion. Or they're all gay.
>majority of elf courtship is figuring out the other person's gender
He is Kabru’s boy wife
>Thistle is voiced by Romi Park
Wrong way around user
Apart from the Captain and the short hair shota are there any other males?
Yes? Wolfman, the only one with a bare chest is undoubtedly the most obvious?
Do you mean within the elf group or within the whole manga itself
Because there’s an obviously male elf who literally stroles around topless
put a fucking shirt on goddamn
no
Would you put on a shirt if you looked like that?
she's just flat
ALL DWARFS ARE MALE
ALL ELFS ARE FEMALE
XD ikr
Makes sense that he doesn't wear one if his power is more or less turning into a werewolf
Is this a new Jojo?
Jojo's Bizarre Dungeon Adventure?
he probably ran out of shirt money for the month
Same.
she's so smug and free
Except elf captain is a man.
Maybe you don't notice but japs have the other elves referring to cap with male pronouns
Are you stupid
have you considered that those anons are fags?
>Senshi is a hobo that washes his beard sometimes
Senshi is hobo model. It's been discussed that Marcille is average looking cause her other forms aren't as good looking.
By comparison, Senshi is great looking in every form be it fabulous elf, good looking man, cute halfing, etc etc.
Please stop making daily dungeon meshi threads. You are talking about the same tired shit we talked a million times already.
OP is probably just horny
Threads start to turn to shit once a series becomes more popular. But we're not completely lost yet since we usually only get threads for a few days surrounding the chapter release. Once we get constant threads then the real low effort shitposting starts.
> Her other forms aren't as good looking
I don't know, I think her human and gnome forms look like they would be conventionally pretty for that race. If anything, Chilchack is the 'average' looking one, judging by basically every different form he has sans the elf/halfling ones.
no one said you had to stick around
>a man
even better!
You have no power here
> Now that Marcille can make antidotes for the changling spores we'll probably never end up seeing halfling Izutsumi
goddamn it
Not saying human Marcille is bad looking. Merely average.
Human Marcille is not better looking Falin.
Compare that to Senshi. He's the best looking in every form.
>she
Like I said, I'd just say she's 'conventionally pretty' in human/gnome forms whereas she'd probably be average in every other. Not supermodel pretty or anything, but still just slightly higher than normal.
In other words she's Kui's self-insert. just kidding Kui's self-insert is Farlyn
Kui’s self insert is probably Senshi or Laius

This manga will be 100x better without the cooking plot.
Please don't try to keep this thread alive by baiting this obviously.
Underrated post
I wish there's an actual manga about Marcille and friends living in small Japanese apartments, with towels hanging in the background and everything
So it's highly likely that the Captain and Kabru will join Llaius' party, what's the most interesting interaction going to be?
I don't think mega ultra chicken would fit
The Captain's super serious personality having to deal with Laius and Senshi.
Not going to be surprised when the captain turns out to be familiar with monster food.
she can stay at a public park and they all visit her from time to time, feeding mana
Laius is too far down to be reached
Kabru and Captain Misurn will be showing us how the dungeon has changed since Laius and co started down
Have you read any of Kui's short manga? A lot of her stories have a similar vibe.
Yeah, I enjoyed them. You can tell from the stories that she's pretty well-read. A lot of settings and themes from multiple genres and topics.
Oh, definitely. I think it's interesting that you could see recurring elements that she explored more fully in Dungeon Meshi too, like the ecosystems of fantasy settings and mythical creatures as part of the food chain and stuff like that.
>Male Marcille actually looks hotter than regular Marcille
what is wrong with our Elf
Nothing, normal Marcille is still peak cute.
i'd feed her mana
This is the face of a criminal who will get life in prison if caught
Do you think we'll get a happy ending? No bitter sweetness, just resolution for all the characters, Farlyn becoming human again.
>Dungeon Meshi 2 is about breaking Marcille out of elf prison
There are no elf men.
Just female elfves and female elves (male)
Either that or a crazy paradigm shift ending, I don't see this manga ending badly.
>pointy ears
Marcille is just fat-eared, that's what makes them rounder.

>when they finally break her out she's as big as ogre marcille

I want to commit what is probably a crime with that cat.
I would commit many crimes for mega ultra chicken
>the gang needs disguises
>Instead of mission impossible masks they use changeling spores
My guess is that the fairy is just a familiar, just like those silly things that Marcille made during the hippogriff/griffon attack.
Fuark imagine trying to take a census of a populationm when changeling spores and magic exists.
>the real reason the elves hate dungeons is because they love accurate statistics
>despite being 13% of the population, Kobolds...

I want to clean the inside of that trash with my weiner, if you catch my drift.
Marcille won't be a good wife. Won't clean, won't cook. Yuck.
Captain is going to break blank face when saying, "Those are the saviours of the dungeon?!"
>Won't clean, won't cook
Canonically wrong.
>Won't clean
She canonically cleans, and she's learned to cook. Dungeon Meshi is the story of Marcille learning to be a good wife.
Delusions.
More like Farlyn, all the best wives weigh several tons and are part dragon.
fat ears
Kabru and captain split up likely teleported to a higher floor than him as they were falling.
Kabru's probably going to get a soft landing, the lake?
Who's the donkey of this series?
The only lovable elf in any media ever
Sureau voiced by Eddie Murphy
Is this Loss?
He'll probably die from the fall and decompose a bit by the time Namari and Sureau find him, while the captain runs off to do something well-intentioned and irresponsible with the ancient tech.
>wolfman drawn without nipples
>dwarf chilchack drawn with nipples
hmmmm
You know now that I think about it isn't eating dungeon monsters just eating flavored mana? If they keep spawning from the power of the dungeon and can be controlled by dungeon wizards, aren't they constructs of pure magic?
like food is really just flavoured sunlight?
Food is air flavored with sunlight, but dungeon monsters' mass is generated by magic.
>murder someone
>dude i was just moving atoms
Marcille is perfect because she is my wife
You N'wah
Living things are given nutrients from base elements that originated in the soil, which itself replenishes from the waste and remains of living things. Sunlight is just an energy source plants use to take in, convert and make use of the nutrients
it's literally sunlight with flavourings
we need the sunlight for the energy the rest is mineral
All things started in stars.
but you will finish in the dirt
There's not thing to imply that, if Misurn wanted to/could've teleported him away he would have done it before they fell.
I think Kabru's just going to hold on for dear life and wait for Misurn to teleport them through the debris and onto to the next patch of solid ground he sees.
I don't see misurn's legs in the final panel
they've split up unless Kui forgot
They are like, literally spinning around falling here, not exactly the furthest stretch to think Misurns just isn't at the same angle as Kabru anymore/ that his legs are tilted away
As it is, again, I can't imagine why Misurn wouldn't have teleported himself/Kabru away from each other before they fell if he could.
fuck is she planning to shoot up a forest
Drow have coal-black skin and stark white hair, you swine.
napalm
Depends on the universe and we haven't seen how a dark elf is.
And Marcille is studying and using dark arts, so she's a dark/drow elf.
I mean, he's a special forces elf convicted of high dark magic and assigned to lead a Suicide Squad of similar psychos to dive into hostile invasive ecosystems and destroy them. He's a total badass, this is to be expected.
chu
Man or woman doesnt matter, both is fine for me.
If the mangaka decides its too much what will happen is Marcille will meet him, "oh that's right I studied teleportation suppression spells in Applied Magic 302", she waves her staff and he can't do shit. Right now he's intentionally being presented as strong to cement the canaries skill and competence, so that it can be subverted later on when they get their pristine elven asses kicked.
'Drow' and 'dark elf' aren't interchangeable, brainletanon. Drow are a specific D&D race, dark elf is a catch-all for any elf that's evil or not fair-skinned.
it’s not that small
This is not a battle manga, user, it doesn't work in terms of jobs and jobbers. Canaries aren't being propped up as a punchbag to show how strong some other character is.
>when they see your dick
Perhaps not, but you can't deny it would be kinda hot to see tortured misurn.
Tortured Thistle is hotter
When is Thistle creating a Tarrasque?
I don't understand how the author is going to keep up the tension after introducing Oni Marcille. The dungeon doesn't seem to hold even one monster or character capable of beating her 1-on-1.
dragons, golem, chimera?
this but unironically once you realize what kind of mana pool she must've had
Is this manga good? I'm in the mood for some fantasy and that Elf looks cute.
She will crush them with her superior magic power. And let's face it, the only reason Tade lost to Farlyn was because of Toshiro's idiotic orders, obviously, and she isn't even half as ripped as Oni Marcille. Maybe a Roc could take her on but the dungeon seems too small to fit one in.
Her mana pool changes with her body so she'd be a pretty useless caster.
It's a guy and it's one of the best fantasy manga ever. You should have picked it up a long time ago.
That's only assuming that an Oni's mana pool is small. The Oni are supposed to be very magical (if dumb) and the DnD Oni-styled Ogres are typically magically gifted, like the one that appeared in Greenskin Slayer.
We've seen the top six and Oni aren't included.
Nah, we've seen the comparison of six major races inhabiting the region. Oni and kobolds live in other places so on the island they are rarer than Elves (Tade and Kuro might very well be the only representatives of their respective races on it) and Orcs are uncivilized ooga-boogas, so it's understandable why they weren't included.
Elves are explicitly the big dick magic races and Gnomes are the runner ups. The races seem very aware of their respective racial talents, so there's no reason Tade wouldn't be a caster if she was suited for it.
>she isn't even half as ripped as Oni Marcille
I found this interesting. Is Tade just fat or does this imply that Marcille is actually buff for an elf? Changelings only alter your species, not physical details like that or am I remembering things wrong?
Is there any decent Marcille dōjin yet?
Marcille was always a homely elf.
Yes.
She's a half-elf so naturally her oni form will look different than normal.
Do we really need to bring this dumb shit into this thread?
Tade it strong fat, she could probably win a head to head.
All signs point that way though.
>Oni Marcile and Tade doujin...
I think last thread someone said that nobody thinks this shit is canon. But here you are, either extremely dumb, never engaged in the previous discussions where we argued against this thousands of times to the point that you guys were just
>but we just don't know so akshually
Or shitposting. She is an elf. Read the previous threads.
>The races seem very aware of their respective racial talents
Well, we just don't know if all Elves and Gnomes can use magic or bother learning it. Laius has what it takes to cast spells but he started learning under Marcille only recently. Same case could apply to Tade.
At least we know that you are wrong about "the top six" you mentioned. In chapter 45, we haven't seen Tade, but Kuro the kobold didn't look worse for wear after passing through the portal, unlike Kabru's dwarf teammate. So no, only 6 "local" common races were included.
How naive can you be? Obviously the author is trying to keep Marcille's mixed origin a secret but she has been dropping hints here and there to make readers speculate.
There are no hints. We discussed this a million times. Her father died while he was young. The monster also ate Farlyn, who didn't die of old age. Her entire backstory only really works if she is a full-blooded elf. Her mothers talk is about how in her future much more people will die, not specifically about her father. She got turned into normal races with the spores, not half-anything. She was called an elf by several persons. Her round ears come from the earlier, rounder art style.
You will not say anything that is hard canon fact. Your assumptions are dumb and based on not properly reading the chapter.
Someone who isn't blind! Captain ditched Kabru. Its literally plain as ink on paper
Why do you think Kabru knows about her race or if she is or not a half blood?
>Captain teleports
>Kabru still saying "The rest is up to you, Laius!"
I think literally every elf and gnome we've seen that is an adventurer in any capacity is some variety of caster.
all races can do magic
id say elves or gnomes just go through the least amount of training to learn magic
dwarves have the weakest affinity to magic but it can be supplemented with the use of their magic dwarven runes
Because he was raised by elves. If someone would know the differences, it would be him. Furthermore he is much more trustworthy in his judgement than some random asshole on a mongolian throat-singing board.
God that middle elf is even hotter now that we know she's a criminal psychopath.
Why do you think he ever saw a half-elf or knows how one looks, what if they are mega rare? And saying "The only one facing the death penalty will probably be their half-even companion." is retarded.
There is literally not a single elf there I wouldn't fuck. Elves are a sinful race in Dungeon Meshi.
>what if they are mega rare?
What if they don't exist at all because they aren't a thing in Wizardry? Anyway, even if it's not a strong argument for her to be a full elf, it's still by no means an argument for her to be a half-elf. This speculation is not based on a single hard fact, which is why treating as canon so retarded.
The hard-canon fact is that she is an elf. Period.
Touche. She's just an ugly elf.
>standard pre-death quote
The Captain literally isn't there anymore
She is the most beautiful, curse upon your soul.
He's done his part by saving the sorcerer.
Literally falling to his death.
He's saying that literally because he took the captain with him to stale time. If he just teleported back he didn't buy any time, and he wouldn't be saying that.
I guess. My desire for Kabru and Captain's radical dungeon adventuring might be too much.
It's almost like there's a large layer of fur on one of them.
I think elf fuckboy is unfurred until he turns into a greyhound.
Nah. His desperate play to stall time was saving the DM. Besides Kabru's quote only means that he can't help anymore, it has no bearing on the Captain's status. Who btw is gone. Kui's attention to detail is on full display in this chap with Kabru's leg mushroom
Just how many nipples does the cat have?
just go write your own fan story
I'm not as talented as Ryōko
They say that having a unvaried and repetitive diet during your developing years can lead to your tastebuds being garbage when you're older. Glad to see Senshi is teaching her how to have good tastes by providing nutritious and varied meals.
Not these gnomes!
Those are both researcher noncombatants.
What makes this hairstyle so appealing?
does it matter?
hash out some ideas write a short scenario doesn't have to be a coherent story
you'll feel better for trying it
maybe you should write a r18 doujin featuring them dude just kidding haha
He was talking about the human kids raised by gnomes
Im thinking they would really prefer if they could capture him and convert him to join the Canaries (however many elf years that would take)
That would be a twist.
But they talked about taking him to the surface.
10/10
well, meant if he survived the aging ofc.
Which reminds me, how old is that kingdom again? do we know?
Don't give Laius ideas.

Didn't they already say that half of the canaries were recruited because they were screwing around with dark magic though?
Does anyone have the orc edit of this page?
Yeah, that's why I said "superior".
I can give you this.
I hope it will be at least three days.
And this while we're at it.
I always really liked the theme of "dark" magic users who aren't inherently dicks about it.

I never expected the elves to turn out so likeable, especially the captain. Deadpan autistic badass with a funny flaw is great combo. And his action scenes are great.
I hate it.
Why does it have to be this way?

No, its perfect
But that’s cute
I'm mistaken for a teenager enough as is. I even get referred to pediatrics over the phone when making doctor appointments.
Become my wife
Better than scraggly fuzz.
It's a gamble but ultimately it's probably a good means to just fuck up a combatant's effectiveness because they don't know how to use their new body immediately.
Unless theyacclimate to be ogres quickly they're still a bunch of awkward giant targets.
You don't want an old person like me to be your wife user. I'm hairy and full of greys.
While they might've been punished for using the "dark arts", that doesn't mean they're using them now.
That would kinda be encouraging people to break the taboo.
Kabru fags need to burn.
>elf team find out about Marcille and start hunting both her and the sorcerer
>Thistle, somewhat shaken out of his habitual insanity by Misurn's blunt assertions, gets hit full force by Laius's autistic purity and agrees to separate Farlyn from the dragon if they leave afterwards
>Laius&co feel bad about the ghosts and winged lion (???) but agree for Farlyn's sake
>elf team come crashing in while Laius&co and Thistle are still together
>Thistle and Marcille whip out the ancient magic
>elf team is getting creamed and whips out the ancient magic that got them sent to the canaries
>all this extradimensional power being drawn from different directions so close to one another causes an instability
>a hole is torn and things from out of time and between space pour into the dungeon
>Dungeon Meshi becomes a slice of life survival horror full of zany antics trying to cure the insanity gained from cooking and eating the flesh of eldritch entities
I don't think the birds of the one you call the beastmaster are actual birds. It looks like summonable shadow entity of some sorts that shaped like a bird.
Cute enough, will fuck him anyway
Shut up, Namari's shortstack thickness is only second to Tade's Oni thickness and as good as The Orc Girl
It's scary how homosexual these elves have made the average Meshi reader. That filthy lesbian Kui absolutely intended this.
I bet it isn't even gross to fuck an elf in the ass. They probably have supernatural bowel control with their fine elvish muscles and their farts probably smells like wildflowers anyway.
I like that "Mega Ultra Chicken" become a legitimate way of calling Farlyn
please stop sexualising the elves, they're not for lewd
You wanted to do a Bank Heist with her?
I'd rather have Chuck for a bank heist. She'd make a good cat burglar though.
Win either way I'd say.
>Chuck
It's the official translation but I don't have to like it
when you think about it, dungeoneering is just extreme burglaring, I bet Laius and co would be good at it.
I just think it's funny.
Kabru and elf boy is fine, because Kabru is a girl.
I'm listening.
it's to prevent spoiling people
The official translation is fucking disgusting, you shouldn't like it.
>tfw remembering how hyped I was to own a physical copy of DM
>check out the official translation online first
>quit within a couple of pages because the engrish and names are so horrendous
>still too disgusted to pay money for that dreck
god it pisses me off
Kabru isn’t a girl but he does get manhandled by the captain and secretly likes it
He could have fucked up and teleported the chunk of his brain that handles that eye or his directional awareness.
Those aren't girl hands
the paper, cover, and art are super high quality
They aren't so bad that I don't like having the physical copies. The cover is a nice matte finish too.
I'm angrier about Pandora Heart's official translation in spots but the early scans are shit-tier enough that shit like 'the intention of the abyss' balances out.
that just makes me fucking angrier
goddamn if it was going to be that trash just use everydayheroes's
>Kaka is the one crying
What a bitch ass nigga.
Senshi is quite literally the best
Little boys can cry
doujins starring the best elf when?
don't we already have Marcille doujins
aren't they shit
I think there's like one that isn't totally subhuman and still her anatomy is fucked
there's a depressing lack of wholesome porn comics
lack of good fanart in general. shouldn't there be tons of Ogre Marcille art by now?
>they translated fucking names
>call the Mad Sorcerer "the Lunatic Magician"
Anytime I read Falin instead of Farlyn I disregard the post as retarded.
Motherfucking Falin and Marsilla, Christ almighty.
She would never marry you anyways.
there hasn't been a single futa Farlyn w/ dragon features and Marcille doujin with impregnation yet, isn't that some sort of crime?
>Marsilla
She's still Marcille in the official translation.
>Lunatic magician
please can you provide a screencap or something, that can't be real
don't forget how the official almost immediately started calling Thistle "she" despite it being ambiguous in the native jap, and he's now confirmed a he
Looks like its in chapter 26. I was more annoyed by whatever chapter Laius says he should learn healing magic, because they changed it to Marcille despite the chapter about him learning magic already being out.
Oops
I still like to support series I genuinely really like, but it is discouraging when the translation that you pay for seems weaker than the fan translations half of the time.
based
Right there in the first chapter
*aneurysm*
My bad it's actually in the true 26 in the previous volume. 27 is labeled 26 in my copy.
Anything would have been better.
The psychotic wizard, the demented demiurge, the spell-caster of extremely questionable mental health.
There are some who call him... Tim?
I know that feel. I actually bought the 1st volume for myself as a gift some time ago. And then I saw those digital rips for succeeding volumes and lost interest completely. I'd still buy them in the future to be honest, at least when I want to lend it to someone. Physical books are nice.
Mad Magician ain't bad, I just question why they chose "Lunatic"
they're wrong his name is Thi[m]stle
>Thimble the Cuckoo Conjurer
wait a minute
are some of these elves male?
it's highly likely that the one that never wears a shirt is a male
we also believe that shortstop and lazy eye are also males
I meant to respond to you when I posted this image but I didn't for some reason???
From left to right, 1 (pixie cut), 2 (stroke victim) and 5 (the most beautiful (((lady))) there) are all male.
Besides the male pecs, Kui drew them all in modern clothing and the right-left folds of their coat buttons was in the male style for those three and the female style for the other three.
huh you're right. great attention to detail, that Kui.
Male elves are hilariously bishie
Cursed Image
Now watch Kui be absolutely devilish, and after causing all this autism observing fine anatomical detail and gendered clothing styles, reveal that one of the canaries has been mascarading as the opposite gender.
>the other canaries are shocked
>every non-elf doesn't blink
>every user melts down
I hope it's pixie cut
Shut up already
>hurr can't tell the girl elf from the boy elf
>penis get hard for boy elf
>boy elf must therefore be girl elf
>tfw now Tance is freaking out more than he is when Kiki gets wrecked
no u
delicious brown was stuffing his shirt
You’re literally 15
That would be hot actually
Imagine how good this manga will be if Kui sensei doesn't waste time for the cooking components.
Shut your nigger mouth.
Every recipe has been plot-essential.
>yfw Muscle Marcille has been foreshadowed for years
I reread those chapters today to check on the brown twins and now I think it's my favorite arc.
Which chapters? I want to re-read the kino parts but I'm in a time crunch
18-22. Of course the most kino chapters are the dragon and aftermath though.
Properly a coincidence.
I saw a nice picture set on pixiv
post it then
Don't (You) that attentionfaggot. Look for yourself.
it was all shit, except for this one image
>tfw searched but no follow up to this pic on pixiv
Good, you deserve nothing.
This thread was a mistake.
no shit, luckily they'll all get bored and fuck off before the next chapter comes out in a month
Trips of truth.
I WANNA FUCK OGRE MARCILLE SO BAD
>you grew that much in just fifteen years?
so I guess elven adolescence is extended
Not necessarily, all these elves are adults, but overall not very tall. That is anyway something even we humans say to each other.
>denying the evidence
I've heard people say that after 1-2 years, but 15 would be ridiculous.
It's no coincidence that the smallest of the canaries says that.
Oh good, another one of these discussions.
>>they translated fucking names
Did they? As far as I know (I haven't read much of the Yen Press release), the ones with the more liberal takes on character names is EH Scans, the YP release uses more straight-forward transliterations. Sureau/Shuro is one example that's in YP's favour.
yeah but I found evidence
Oh great, another piece of "evidence" that can easily explained in a different way, because:
We actually established in the latest chapter that elves have a slower perception of time. Though I find it makes more sense if it's just the "elves of the west" and a cultural thing, because Marcille doesn't display any of this So for them 15 years is a very short amount of time. Considering for example how little Marcille grew alongside Farlyn and how overall small elves in this setting seem to be, growing up that much may seem surprising, especially if you are not used to humans.
>all the other party members
Here's my name, age, blood type, immediate family members, and the past 20-30 years of my life fucking story.
>Marcille
uuuuuh my parents were court mages... uuuuuh I met Farlyn in magic highscool...
I think Ryoko reads these threads, just to torture me. Just end it, pull the fucking trigger you small hands bitch.
what are you arguing here
>Sureau/Shuro is one example that's in YP's favour.
Even that makes better sense when we find out they just called him that since they couldn't pronounce his Japanese name.
Lyoko Kui's hands are perfect you philistine.
we don't know shit about Chilchack either
Namari is barebones as well
was that her father that Kabru attempted to entreat with the elves?
Against whatever the other user is arguing.
yeah I agree, fuck that guy
whichever one that is
fuck nigga this is kawaii
We know a lot about Chil, he's the one who broached the little share and care.
Namari left the group. And God no, I'm pretty sure her dad got voted off the island or some shit.
I wonder if nips are annoyed by this as well. I wonder what they argue about.
Although Yea Forums is pretty much the only place where people fall for the half-elf meme
The duality of man.
Namari's dad was a blacksmith who took/gave bribes. All we know about Marcille's dad is he's dead.
>he's the one who broached the little share and care
and all we learned was that he used to be a family man before he went out for cigarettes, we didn't even get a picture of his wife and kids
we know more about Marcille damnit, we've even seen her mom in a dream sequence
Thank god you're here, saving this thread.
he's quite clearly an idiot, Namari's thickness is second only to Laius and Farlyn's autism moe
But Sureau reads more like a name that would exist in this european-ish fantasy setting.
Exactly, they gave him the name they thought he said.
Marcille couldn't even lift those wood sticks? They aren't nailed to the ground at all
We really don't know much about Chilchacks backstory though, all we really know is that he has a wife and kid that he hasn't seen for years for 'some reason'
We'll never get that flashback where they awkwardly and poorly take each other's virginity.
HAHAHA I'm just kidding. No one would possibly want that, right? Right.
Lauis wasn't allowed to count
And that he runs the halfling union and had a long hard road to mimic identification.
no, why would we want that? it's obviously they should be part of Marcille's harem
also Namari is there? this fantasy is getting confusing
Marcille should keep her filthy urges in check until the Thordens raise offspring, then she should fuck all of them.
in a perfectly healthy fashion.
>Oh no, he's starting to sound like Lauis
on a scale of 1 to 10 how awkward would Laius make sex with Namari?
Any good Chilchack dōjin that aren't straight?
cute feet
warbarghl
No, that makes no sense at all. Shuro is specifically a mispronounciation of a Japanese name that the characters know is Japanese. Sureau is a French word that has no place in that context. EH Scans made a mistake, you don't need to make excuses for them. It's just unfortunate they never corrected it.
shut up fag
>when we find out they just called him that since they couldn't pronounce his Japanese name
Nice theory but totally groundless, most likely the scanlators are fags. Dunno about the US release but in my country it's Shuro (and Farlyn is Farin)
While I'm at it, it would be nice if EH used the proper terms for different races as well. Half-foot and tall man, specifically, are what they avoid using for whatever reason they've come up with.
Marcille is a half elf, all the evidence point that way.
>totally groundless
nigger
I don't think it's strong enough to call "evidence" but I'm not ruling it out yet. A distinct possibility.
>all the evidence
There is none. It is canon that she is an elf and nothing that you will bring up will change that.
She's probably extremely talented, even more so than pure blooded elves which is the source for her complex.
user, being an elf is exactly one half of the prerequisites for being a half-elf
if the names on that chart indicated such, then explain Izutsumi on this chart
> even more so than pure blooded elves
What makes you think that? The only other elf we've seen that she's clearly shown to be better than is that girl from WAY at the start of the manga who gets cornered by the Basilisk, and she's obviously just a beginner.
holy
Why would she lie about that?
I mean I don't know about the school as a whole, but we didn't see any elves other than Marcille in her own class, it was all made up of humans and gnomes. Could be it doesn't have elves much throughout the whole thing, which would explain why Marcille is such an amazing student.
What the fuck is there even to explain? Izutsumi has nothing to do with that. Don't ignore this one >duplicate file
>we are having this dumb discussion again
Jesus fuck, also
>muh evidence
>but literally "elf" written right above her doesn't count
>even more so than pure blooded elves
Almost like she is an elf.
And she says her parents were court wizards, even though her dad would have been dead by then and she would have been doing her janitor thing. They probably couldn't send her to elf wizard school so they sent her to gentrify the mayflies.
Actually, I bet Marcille's parents were court wizards for humans, like Thistle was.
> Izutsumi has nothing to do with that.
Not that user, but I think the point was that "elf" being written there doesn't necessarily denote 'pure' elf, since no matter what category you put her under, Izutsumi would always be a 'half' race since shes mixed with a cat.
He means "Sureau" is groundless. Shuro makes sense as a mispronounciation, Sureau doesn't.
is this before or after they met thistle? marcille might just not know
I get the impression at least that Marcille wasn't raised around other elves, so of course she wouldn't go to school with them, seems like she and her mom have been living in a mixed race place ever since she was little.
I'm glad there's somebody here who isn't retarded
I'm still in the "let's wait and see" camp, people who assert anything about her heritage are scum. We don't have enough to draw a conclusion.
Yamanba chapter was post dragon incident, so yeah, they'd met the sorcerer by that point.
her strong back seems so soft
feathers truly are the best
But Marcille turned into a normal human, normal halfling, dwarf and gnome. If the effect was consistent, she would always turn into half-race. But she does not, while the cat consistently does. Which pretty much shows that Marcille is a normal elf.
Hey man, you do you, I was just clarifying why they even bothered to mention her.
>We don't have enough to draw a conclusion
She is an elf for the time being. There is no way around it. Maybe we get something in future chapters that points towards something different. But at this point is she an elf and this discussion is tiresome and overdone.
your overreaction is the only reason we're still having this conversation
>discussing things = overreacting
I'm so sorry for ever disagreeing with you.
>SHE'S NOT A DIRTY HALFU SHE'S NOT SHE'S NOOOOOOOOOT
t. you
all of that nonsense aside, WERE WE FUCKING BLIND
SHE QUITE OBVIOUSLY HAS TWO FAIRIES RIGHT HERE
Well, she is not. And I will explain why without caps lock or swearing too much, formulate arguments and post pages that support my arguments. You haven't really seen a true spergout if you think that that's overreacting.
But do you really think we need to go through this in every thread? You are not even bringing up anything new. That Izutsumi argument was dumb. Does saying that trigger you?
More importantly, look at that nose!
your denial isn't based in facts any more than the assertion is, there is nothing more than the possibility and a suggestion
can't you see you're getting trolled by the guy who's asserting she MUST be a half-elf? both your claims are equally groundless
The boy one is clearly visible during the bit where Pattdohl is getting overwhelmed by merchants in the ‘’on the first layer’ chapter.
What denial? I don't proclaim that there is no possibility and already said that maybe if get some other evidence it may turn out that she was in fact a half-elf. But whatever you guys bring up to say that's it already canon is really flimsy and sometimes it turns out that it actually supports the hard-canon, at this point hard-canon, fact that she is indeed an elf.
How many times do we have to go through that her father died young? How many times do we have to say that her backstory about outliving other races only works if she was an elf? How many times do we have to point out that her fat ears come from the earlier art style or that the monster also ate Farlyn and does simply not kill through old age? But okay, actually discussing this manga is "overreacting". And also no, I don't think he's just shitposting. Some are, but that guy thinks he cracked the code.
before even that, this was during their initial descent down the stairs to the first layer
her second appearance ever and she had two fairies
in regards to your example while she's being overwhelmed by merchants, she had just sent the girl fairy off to see Captain Misurn, and it was still with him at the time
the guys who claim it's canon are trolling you
you, in particular, because you always respond with effort
just tell them to fuck off
>just tell them to fuck off
I do that as well. But if someone is bringing up an argument to why she is supposed to be a half-elf, I will engage said argument and discuss it. Some are not trolling. Some are serious about that. And I will not stop just because some may be trolling.
Why would Kui sensei reveal a plot important secret at such a minor scene like this?
What secret?
>what secret
If you are implying that Marcille being an elf is a secret then you read the wrong manga. It's the default, the fact in Dungeon Meshi.
I just saw that cutie make the laughing crying emoji face and you were the first post I saw
>hurr can't tell if elf is full or half
Do you want to end this thread? Wait. I'll post Marcilles.
Do you have a Marcille in a hennin (pointy veiled damsel cap)? Most elevens barely try to replicate medieval fashion but Kui put Marcille in some very trad gowns.
I'll have that when Kui draws it. Have a Christmas Marcille.
what a slut. she doesnt even resist it
god I fucking hate humans so fucking much
Because she is handcuffed and also knows that Misurn will wreck them next.
yeah. I often time let men rape me because I know the cops will show up later and arrest them. I dont even put up a fight
Brainlet, the cops where already in the room and pointing teleportation magic at the culprits. Make a Pelinal thread if you want to shitpost about elves.
Realistically, it's quite often a choice between your dignity or your health/life and then your dignity being taken by brigands. In some countries, successfully fighting off would-be assailants can land you in prison because limits of allowed self-defence are so narrow, and basically, the side that comes off less injured is the one that's considered guilty.
He only licked her ear, I wouldn't react much either if I knew that he was going to be teleported into a wall in two seconds.
